I don't care that the hands are bubbly... it's just that they're so bright white the only valk they go with is Hikaru... and they're even brighter and whiter than his VF-1J.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6

I'm going to buy the Tornado pack, which will come with the movie color version, then i'm going to compare it to my TV version and make my decision then. I suspect I'll buy the Tornado pack, review it, and then opt to keep my TV Alto with TV Super parts. -
Toynami has never grown beyond that early stage where they can afford to take risks and the Robotech license hasn't proven profitable enough for them to pour in a ton of effort. Honestly, Robotech toys are probably amongst their most expensive to make with a very limited return, a ton of complaining, and really they're probably quite happy to be moving further and further away from that license.

I'll post at least one pic in my upcoming review (should be posted at some point in the next 48 hours). Sadly, the super bleached white of the V2 GBP doesn't go all that great with the VF-1S and it's off white. Fortunately, since most of the VF-1S is covered it's not a huge deal... but the hands definitely look funny.

The MW Automotive Thread Quattro SpecV

Thanks for all the pointers. I still haven't decided what to do to fix the amp issue but it was good to know where to start. Next weekend I'm going to rip the back of my car apart in search fo the amp to see if it's not just a cold solder joint issue in the current amp. THen I'm going to measure up the current amp and check out my after market situation. It looks like a previous owner (car was 2 years old when I bought it) removed the 8" woofer from the back housing, replaced it with two 4" speakers (and left the wood he used to make it work) and then took the 2 4" speakers when he sold the car. Now I understand why my stereo has always sounded so flat to me. I drive a 1.8T Quattro. I'm not looking to hop up the speed, I bought this car specifically because it was a 4 door tank and I was sick of ending up with faster wrecked cars. -
My computer at home clears the cache after every IE session and it didn't work there. At work, where I would think I've never been to M3 it works... so, maybe it started working again while I've been at work?

When rhade is speaking on behalf of the RT.com boards you know the RT.com boards have issues. I am absolutely certain he would have banned me from those boards had he been a mod.... he wasn't exactly the best at walking down a logical path.

I sent Mr. March a message a while ago asking him if he'd mind if I used his line art and directed people to his site in my reviews. I didn't get a response either way so I started doing it assuming if he got back to me with a negative I'd just take those parts down. I hope it does go back up, I really enjoyed it and was hoping I could push more traffic there.

I'm sure some patience will pay off for you in spades... Yamato has to eventually make this available in some other way.

Well it's good to see they at least got the chest intakes right and incorporated the Aoshima improvements. Honestly, if this is the Aoshima valk with better quality control then it does stand up better against every Alpha released yet. Clearly though we're a long way from where we'd like to be.

I think you meant to put this in the Mospeada thread. EDIT - To date you can't just buy the upgrade parts by themselves. EDIT II - musta been confused... this IS the Mospeada thread.

Can you blame them after what you have done? For shame... for shame....

The VF100 doesn't work very well in that mode at all. I think I have a pic on my site but I heard some members who couldn't get it to work at all without a stand.

I'm hoping to get myself some of those T-Rex bags.. they look sweet.

Anybody here into car stereos? I need a little help. Back in the day I owned a Corvette that came with the factory Bose system. I hacked all that out and replaced it with all good after market equipment... that wasn't my intention at first but I quickly learned with Bose once you do one thing non-Bose you have to convert the whole stupid system. I now drive an Audi A4 with the Bose system and recently, it appears, my amp gave up the ghost. I get audio only occasionally and it comes on and vanishes with a loud pop. The dealership told me it was the Head Unit, which I replaced, but the problem is still exactly the same so I'm pretty sure at this point its gotta be the amp. I'm not too bitter about getting a head unit I didn't need as I now have nav, bluetooth, and a USB port so that's all good. Anyway, I was told that on the 2002 and up Audi Symphony II cars the Bose wiring and speakers are compatible with after market equipment and that I can simply bypass the amp and run wires from my HU back to the Amp out and then splice into the wires there (or, get any old 4 or 5 channel amp and run wires into that and then splice the outs into the existing wiring). That sounds awesome... if it's true... but my old Corvette experience is making me doubt the validity of this claim. Is this true so long as I keep Bose speakers in the car and it's just replacing the speakers that requires me replacing the existing wiring? I'm definitely not savvy with car stereos so if anyone has been down this road let me know. -
I haven't looked through my CMs figures yet but I'm still planning on selling all extras so stay tuned. In the meantime I have another review up at Anymoon.com... go check it!

What they really ought to do is package these vinyl toys in giftsets with other mecha... but then hella people would complain that they had to buy a toy just to get the softbi they wanted so maybe not.

I guess if you buy the premium version of the game it comes with two passes to give to friends, each card featuring 10 days of using the game for free. I'm happy to report that after the first 20 minutes the download speed has really picked up. I should have the 7Gigs by after the Superbowl

My table currently has the following toys on it: 1) Anniversary VF-1S Focker 1/60 V2 2) Takatoku GBP + Hikaru 1J 1/55 (Hik is reissue) 3) Yamato V1 1/60 Hik+GBP combo 4) Yamato V2 1/60 Hik+GBP combo 5) Yamato V2 SuperOstrich 6) Yamato V2 Elintseeker 7) CMs Character figure box (still unopened) Not yet on the table: 1) Yamato Hikaru 1J + GBP in 1/48 scale 2) Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25S + Armor I was hoping to get my GBP review up sooner than later but with all the comparisons I'm doing with other versions of the toy it looks like it's going to take a while.

The last VF-0S had the shoulder improvements so it's really hard to believe these wouldn't also. Then again, Yamato took old stock and made it the Hikaru that goes in their Hikaru+GBP release soooo you never know with them.

I'm trying to download this game via torrent now.... I can't get any sort of satisfactory rate. With the way things are going now, I won't be playing until my 10 day membership is expired.

I had my Takatoku and WHAM SDF-1s out for my review of the Macross Quarter and while the old SDF-1 is cool it's not cool enough to warrant a re-release IMHO (and I understand the tooling for it was ruined long ago). Having the WHAM next to the old classic kind of gives you a good indication of just how cool a modern SDF-1 interpretation could be. It's too bad Yamato got so carried away.
