Are you sure you got the number right? I'm not rewatching the video right now but I thought he said "Kickstarter PLUS the cost of all the rewards we're giving out is XX%". So they could just be putting a huge value on all the rewards. So like, if you chip in $1000 maybe you get a drawing from him with his signature. Maybe he thinks that drawing is worth $1000 so he buys it from himself for that much.

I would have expected a Spartas/Hovertank on here. A toy of the hovercycle though? The cool thing about really wanting that is it seems like it's somewhat obtainable in a different path. I bet it'd be pretty easy for someone to create a 3D printed version. If this were just wish-lists I'd say a really good 1/35 Legioss and a 1/35 (though it'd be small) Spartas. I wonder if whoever bought the Beagle Ride Armor Fuke prototype has considered doing a kickstarter to raise the cash to actually make the toy. I'd be interested to see that page and I'd definitely pledge. If we're doing actual toys, there's a gold MP-1 Optimus Prime raffle toy out there that I'd love to have, as well as that red MP-10Bape toy. There's a couple Votoms toys I want but I wouldn't call them Holy Grail items, I'd call them OCD desires. In the Macross universe I have OCD desires as well.

After the Bandai HMR pricing was released I figured Toynami would cancel their comparatively terrible 1/100 offering but I see on eBay today that that product actually has materialized and, insanely, just about right when Toynami said it would.
-
We see supports on every prototype like ever, hardly something to be concerned with. As for the Regults, we don't know the plan yet. I agree that more accessories seemed a smart move though. Maybe there will be an add on set instead of only slightly different releases. We saw the slightly different technique didn't work for Toynami. I'm also hoping for a scout regult conversion kit.

For those of you who can't find time to listen to the podcast, the take away from a product standpoint at the end is that many items at this exhibit were 3D printed bricks (DX VF-19K, HMR VF-0), some were 3D printed very early prototypes (1/35 VF-1), and a few things were a little further along (like the VF-2SS). The moral of the story is that if Delta doesn't do great, or that the Hi-Metal sales start faltering, you shouldn't expect all these announcements to come to fruition... many of these things right now are just kind of teasers.

Amazon usa may be an easy solution for getting stands and looking at options.
-
The only thing that really jumps out to me is how thin the carriers are. Otherwise I'm all on board.
-
It's exactly the same, the YF19 is convertible from 1 to 2 seats, that's how Yang takes a ride with is Isamu in Mac+.
-
Nah, they just will make you buy fast packs separately so you won't know that they've corrected this until it's too late! Edit - In all seriousness though, I find it very unlikely they will fix this as it didn't seem like an easy fix.
-
Doesn't transform, but it disassembles into super glorious detail well beyond anything this seems to be doing.
-
I really hope they do the 1/35 and that it is transformable and that it becomes like a "Soul of Chogokin" or some other upscale release brand. I hope Bandai then creates a 1/60 DX VF-1 to play with the other DX toys. I then hope Bandai makes all the rare and hero stuff in 1/100. I don't ever expect a DX Glaug, Regult, Q-Rau, or destroid but I'll be thrilled if we get them in 1/100.
-
I completely agree on the canopy though I'd like it to have 2 seats so we could still throw Yang in there. I honestly love the idea of Tamashii exclusive fast packs, fold drive, and missiles. I think lots of folks don't want those so it'd be nice to not have to buy them and instead bring down the price of the base toy.
-
I feel like I would have to find a good way to make an enclosure.
-
I think the expectation would be the YF19 will be the same toy with a different canopy and cockpit, like the Nightmare 171 cannon fodder tweaking of the 171EX toy. Other than that I'd just expect different paint and accessories.
-
I'd buy one... but only one and I wouldn't pay nearly as much.
-
I think you guys are crazy. It's made by Bandai, not Arcadia. You think they're going to go more than twice what they're charging for the VF-19Advance? I wouldn't be surprised if they sell it for the exact same price as Arcadia is using for whatever release they have out at the time. HMM... I can pay 32000 Yen for an Arcadia cannon fodder VF-0A or a 1/35 DX VF-1...
-
They might be thinking that lots of folks would view an extra 10000 yen as too much for the sap so they would prefer the standalone version. They might also be thinking no one would buy Nexx or two vf2SS unless they differentiated them somehow.
-
Maybe Nexx is with SAP and Sylvie without.
-
The HMR may have the benefit of being a partsformer so it's not too surprising. If it's perfect transformation than yeah, that's pretty impressive.
-
That's how it's supposed to be.

No one is trying to imply Arcadia has NO Macross licenses. They'll still have a niche of some sort and it looks like they have zero locked up. Stuff like musical instruments and giant guns, resin kits, etc are probably still on the table. Hypothetically, I really wonder if the V2s couldn't be sold as assembly models? I mean, Arcadia was complaining about their factory? Why not skip half the work and sell us the V2s painted but unassembled. I'd be down with that.
-
LOL, again, if the rumor is true, it wasn't the rumor that created the situation... My guess is that lots of people are now spreading the 'rumor' because of the Tamashii Nations show. Bandai is clearly making a big push for Macross so it's not hard to conclude that they're pushing other companies out. Guys, there's a bright side here (assuming this is true). There's going to be lots of V2s available cheap some day... when the V3 is available either from Bandai or Arcadia in several years. When that happens you can either complete your V2 collection or make sure not to miss any V3s.

Not really related to Hi-Metal toys...
