Anyone have images of the old Takatoku advertisement with a vf1d and a Mac TV 1a? I can't find mine and wanted to include them on my site.
-
I was really hoping we would get an announcement at the end of January for a May or June HMR release :(. Still looking for something to bundle with my Arcadia PF VF-0S.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Yeah, that red suit was definitely the sore spot for an otherwise incredible toy. Is it possible to buy neoprene type fabric? Would that be too stiff?

Huh, so I'm not the only one with a regult set stuck in customs huh? It's lame.

I'm hoping I have a similar happy ending with a regular missile set... It disappeared at LA customs.

Some misremembering here. Check this post for what OHM toys came with. http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=4000 -
I love the MM SDF1, someone should grab it from you. I agree on the VF-1 in pretty much all respects. I feel like a modern jokemachine with a swappable head and ball jointed hips would have easily been superior.

Hlj hasn't shipped my VE1 yet... Sniffle. It went to PW which always causes a brief delay. -
The missile set was a surprise, a launch arm would be a nice second surprise.

I checked Gaiares, musha and whip rush, didn't look like it was one of those.

OMG VF4 yes, and it has been teased so fingers crossed. I'd love to wrap up my destroid collection this year.

It's a bummer but I guess the newer version used an in helmet HUD.

I have an extra 1S shipping to me soon that I won't be keeping if you're interested. I just want to take pics and Chronicles any differences.

Yeah, not counting Roy... At least until he gets a true TV release. HMR has been fuzzy on DYRL vs TV schemes so we'll see how this goes.
-
Me preference for TV paint schemes shouldn't bum you out! I don't have enough room to keep everything... Right now the only true DYRL HMR release is Hikaru's strike 1S and his upcoming 1A... Not much of a purge.
-
That is an excellent suggestion! Any recommendations on a size/brand to grab? My biggest concern would be that I'd get one too small and the landing gear of a fighter mode toy wouldn't all be able to sit on it.

I would say fit and finish is a good way below HMR levels. These things are cute, and do battroid really well, but you're not going to confuse them for a Bandai it Arcadia product. Price is good though, it might owe to them having a much cheaper license and also that this started off as a knock off so they might have been able to buy the molds cheap.

100% agree. The DYRL paint jobs bore me to death and I'll probably sell all my HMR DYRL toys off when the line is dead some day and I've taken a few required group shots... but I'll probably hold on to the Elint and SuperO. I sold off my Yammys to make room and I definitely regret it.

Since I need to vent... I have a packaged that has been in Los Angeles customs now for 9 days without an update. I've bought lots of little stuff from Japan lately, this is the one thing that has any value to it and of course it gets stuck in customs no man's land while all the little other boxes keep showing up ahead of it :(. I have all my KC SD VF-1s in my pile of loot at BBTS waiting for the Calibre Wings VF-1 to come in to ship. Since I've already reviewed the SD VF-1S/J and Super parts I'm in no rush.

Bbts offers various shipping levels, if you pick super saver it's like SAL and just kind of goes as room allows.

Ha, no, I was only referring to Aoshima models as per Gabriel's remarks. I can never forget the Aoshima New Century Alloy Legioss. All the promise of improving on the crappy Toynami build quality... only to deliver a toy that was even worse!

Yeah, you're still backward. A toy needs to exist in a physical form where it can accomplish all three modes. In this instance, that can only be accomplished with the dome being too high in fighter and GERWALK modes unless a telescoping function is added. As you say, without the telescoping it wouldn't be able to do battroid, and we know it can and would never be made where it couldn't. Again, I refer you to the 1/55. Yes, we can call this a semantics argument but I think it would only ever be pointed out because the 1/55 does not telescope and achieves all modes but this telescoping let's it do so in a more attractive manner.

The only Aoshima 1/48s I remember were reissues of the Imaii transformable.

Solo: A Star Wars Story, in theaters May 25, 2018

The thing with Poe is that is consistent with his character. Now that he's been severely humbled they have set him up for a little less wise cracking. Basically, the droids are the OT comic relief and other trilogies have struggled with that recipe. TPM tried JarJar. I will take juvenile Poe over JarJar.
