The HMR line is between 1/80 and 1/100 scale. The Koenig that currently exists is 1/120 scale. I guess if we see HMR VF25 we can start hoping for a Koenig renewal in scale but I don't think a reissue of the existing you with an HMR label would cut it.
  2. Any thing they spent on the Kickstarter campaign, any shows they attended and related expenses, they could classify marketing in lots of ways. Who thinks Palladium has any value? I don't get the point here. That worthless company with an awful reputation should be punished! Are people hoping to get the value from the molds of those awful miniatures?

For reals, we have a July dx release but nothing past April in HMR.... We need more plastic smack.
  4. I hope convoy three launches a new generation of masterpiece and we start all over.

NY will have the best price... make 5 available at some crazy random hour...

I suspect that CDJapan is gonna hook it up tonight... they seem to be the safest bet though not the biggest discount.
  7. Suing palladium seems like a joke. I'm sure Kickstarter makes it clear that things can go wrong and things do go wrong when companies are trying something new. Now palladium is like three guys in a garage without their biggest license... A backer wanting to sue them is just a person who was ill prepared to be on Kickstarter or is eager to kick a corpse.
  8. HG shouldn't be scapegoated here... as awful as they are. This is all Palladium's fault. I love how they try to push the blame entirely on Ninja Division. "Look, we knew we didn't know what we were doing, but we thought they did!"
  9. 1) You're not considering a very important element, when the factory says they can put their order in. There's no apples to apples about the severity of rework and the timing. I imagine there is some sort of a time when they have to lock things in and a clause about missed windows and future availability... If they're really fortunate, they're reaching a date in which they have to say "Make this or reschedule without penalty" and they're choosing to reschedule. 2) This goes to the first item, delaying things has to be expensive for them in a lot of ways and they may even be paying fees to the factory. Hopefully they've budgeted in some issues into their original projections... at this point they have a lot of history to use for that. While the first Garland's price isn't in trouble, I wouldn't be shocked by a price increase on the variants... but at least the final result should get glowing reviews if they're putting all this love into it so maybe demand will let them do a reissue and make everything right. Does this mean my blue and white version won't ship until 2019?

    Hitting F5 already! Jk
  11. Well, at least they learned from the Yamato fiasco!

    Bandai DX VF-31

It hasn't gone on sale yet so it's just their way of getting it ready.

BiginJapan has the Kai available again.
  14. what spinal injury does red dress Minmay have? Poor thing... that's gonna mess with her dancing during shows for sure.
  15. They never had a concept on how wave 2 was going to work any way, they hadn't even thought through the scale. Lots of lessons for lots of people here... Though it will likely never matter for the folks at Palladium.
  16. I was thinking I should do updated reviews of all the Yamato Garlands over the next couple months... At least get the basic reviews updated before the Arcadia arrives.

Self plug, anymoon.com has a release schedule where you can see all the upcoming releases, it's updated about every two to three weeks...

I would guess BigWest provides the reference materials that the toy manufacturers use which would explain why the VE-1 looks the way it does in toy form and has looked pretty much the same since Bandai's first 1/55.
  19. I'm impressed honestly... Not sure if this is an anymoon thing though.

Boo... I need more HMR in my life.
  21. I'm not articulating it well... It's because modelers prefer 1/72 scale to go with everything else they have. Toy folks do 1/60 scale, not modelers, so if you were going to manufacture a model, you would make it 1/72 scale.
  22. I think the answer is because 1/72 was a dominant model scale well before Yamato and then Bandai adopted 1/60. Toy folks get 1/60, modelers play in 1/72, and since they're such different products, it kind of works.
  23. Those have an uphill battle because repaints wouldn't sell. It took us this long to get a VF 2SS. The biggest Ray of hope would be the HMR line, Bandai has done some pretty cool things there.
  24. Reissues of very old models from the look of it.
