Certainly no shortage of painted on markings! That's a lot... Curious about details. It seems 99% certain they have removable exteriors but I wonder why Bandai isn't selling that?

I like that they don't require display stand adapters (though that means they're a little less secure). I would recommend putting a piece of scotch tape (sticky side toward the display stand) on top of each nub to prevent reaction of the stand with any material it would touch, some people had the stands fuse with the paint on their toy or leave a ring of discoloration.

You have to email them and explain you have some sort of hardship. If you prepaid I think they tell you "too bad" but on pay later items, if you don't have a history of cancelling orders, they'll usually let you do it. I've never had to do it with a marked-up item though.. they may give you more stink.

I reached out to KC about buying one, they told me they are only available through the local wholesaler and I'd have to arrange a purchase through them... but I have no idea how I would do that :/

The P Bandai page shows them as sold out already. NY still had them listed at the original price... So maybe they're sold out with Bandai because NY bought them all....

1) having a shop means dealing with customer inquires 2) if the shop is going to tell people they were unable to acquire stock, the person who finds out first can get their stock somewhere else before the price continues to be ratcheted up. He's asking for like 5 minutes of work to potentially save himself $10. Yes, if everyone does it the company would need to draft a form response and it would take a few more minutes of work on their end but hardly a big deal.

A curious thought here, if Harmony Gold really does lose their license in 2021 to merchandise Macross products, then that seems like it will royally f*ck KitzConcept and Toynami (to a much lesser degree). BigWest will probably be in no mood to deal with companies that were not operating under their licensing previously and they will have not motivation to do so with their biggest sponsor (Bandai) already having a full catalog it could deliver.

I'm not aware of NY cancelling any P-Bandai orders before... but the way they've been selling things that sell out instantly does make you curious how they're going to deliver.

Instead of being "Valkyrie Factory" they should have named themselves "Convertors" and made the valks in a whole bunch of different colors like the old Henkei toys. I don't need another Hikaru or Roy though I guess it's nice for people who missed the official releases. Rare paint schemes and new paint schemes would be cool though. They should do paint schemes to match ever Optimus Prime MP-10... I dunno, go nuts.

Yes, though TV Fast Packs will likely be sold later also if that's your preference. There will be more VF-1 releases and you're bound to score one of them so getting the parts makes sense.

I thought they just showed a silhouette that was obviously the Mega House toy... No idea what that implication would really be. I also don't they have the bandwidth for a VF-1 line, a character line, and another item.

I say "don't worry guys, it's a TWE, you'll have time to place your orders. Bandai says "Sorry, sold out." The worst part about NY's service is that even if you placed the first order as soon as the link went live, you have no idea when they will deliver. Their 31A shipments seemed to be totally random (except that multiple orders went later... so I'm probably screwed).

Is there a listing for OVA2 already? I'm curious about that. I figure once I get through my Patlabor Blu-Rays these will be the next thing I purchase (but I'm only watching like one Patlabor episode a month so it's going to take a while).

Maybe they would do a super VF-1J like M&M and then do a PF GBP with missile effects accessory release separately.

I think the 1D will be next so they can have one of each main head unit out there. Bonus if they follow it with the ostrich and elintseeker.
