How about having a small LED in the head piece or small LEDs for the landing lights, navigation lights and strobe. Or just make 1/48 non-transforming valks with lights and all out details!

I'm gonna get the YF-29 cause it's a unique 'one time thing' being a 30th anivesary edition. I mean, Just like the black 25th anniversary YF-19, it's never gonna be released again in this color scheme.

What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.

Oh, I see. Well that sucks cause I really liked that tint. Oh well, Thanks y'all. -
If you're worried about the shoulder problems or anything breaking then the best policy is to LEAVE it in plane mode. I have yet to transform any of my valks cause I'm afraid I'll break something and than the hefty price, that I paid for them, will go down the toilet. I love Macross for the fighter designs and NOT the robot modes. And that's my 2 cents.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. Anyways, I recently got a 1/60 Kakizaki with super and strike parts bundle and noticed that the cockpit didn't have that nice tint to it. All of my other VF-1's have it though. Can I contact Yamato for the right canopy or not? -
Have a VF-22s gamlin coming in by SAL registered. I really hope it doesn't get to me all busted up.
-
Finally got me a VF-22s Gamlin from that 50% off sale. YES!!! Can't wait, can't wait. Next up on the list is an AT-AT, the science tricorder from eFX and the VF-11B. Incase you're wondering: No, my wife doesn't know a thing.
-
You can now get it at HLJ for $104 plus $23 shipping if you choose fedex. Unfortunately that's exactly what I did at there last sale and got it. Well, I have to say that it is the worst 1/60 valk I have ever held in my hands. It just plain ugly and feels so damn cheap. I should have gotten a VF-22s or a VF-11B instead.

1/72 = 3 1/60 = 13 1/48 = 2 Non of them have ever been transformed.

OMG I remember this thing. I was a huge Macaholic back when I got it from Media Play for 10 bucks and I was so excited to finally have a VF-1 anything. I remember it having good detail and the legs went up and down from Gerwalk to fighter but the arms were stuck in place. So to fix this I had sawed off the arms and filed them down so It looked good in fighter mode. I also drilled a hole underneath so I could insert a metal hanger for a makeshift display stand. I think this was the first toy I had ever put so much effort into making it look good.

I hate the 1/72 Mac Plus line and all the 1/55 Bandai. I also hate the SV-51 with its huge tail fins, choppy wings, forward facing canards and ugly ass intakes.

I had a nice huge collection before I got married. About a year ago I had it consolidated so I could buy diapers and formula. ARGH!
-
I think the 25 is messed up because Bandai likes to Gundamize everything they make. The chunky style is there signature mark which really doesn't help if you're gonna make something line art accurate that is suppose to be a plane. My VF-25 has been in fighter mode ever since I got it and it's gonna stay that way forever.
-
Welcome aboard and yes go ahead and get one or both of the Vf-0's just as GU-11 said. The only pain is the droopy nose and it is totally fixable in 15 minutes thanks to Chronocidal's guide. I have done it on both of my VF-0's and no sweat.

It's bad for you health cause you keep mentally torturing you self when you reviece a defective valk. It does affect your social relationship cause you friends can't figure out how you can justify spending sooo much money on toys. Thus no one ever lends you any money at your time of need. Hell yeah it hurts your financial situation! If you use your cards to pay for valks than you gotta see that statement every month and make that dang payment! You become a Psyco only when your kids try to hurt your valks or if the wife threatens to break my stuff cause we had a fight. In the end we keep buying Yamato cause it is the only one who has so much variety to offer. Bandai on the other hand, only makes gundamized valkyrie and the rest of the companies make action figures and model kits. So what choice do we have?
-
If I have posted this in the wrong section than I apologize. I got a non-reissue YF-19 today. Long story short, the guy said it was NIB but I am not so sure. For those who bought the last issue 19's can you help? First, is there suppose to be tape on all four sides? Second, there is tape behind the arms here. Is that suppose to be there? Third, this crack was there before I took it out. Is it caused by transforming or do some of the 19's have this issue. So what do you guys think? Has it been opened and used or were most of the old 19's like this? Thanks

How long are these stands suppose to last?
-
Can't argue with that logic.
-
One can only sue Yamato if one survives the heart attack. And I think the ultimate insult will be if they bury you with your yamies.
-
It's a negative on the AT-AT. The wife won't let me get it cause I got Nora last week. Oh well, easy come, easy go.
-
Holy crap I forgot about the AT-AT has been released, must get 100 bucks somehow. Anyways, what you said is true. I own about 3 V2 1/60 Vf-1s and 2 of the 1/48s and I haven't experienced any grief from them...but than again, I never transform them. I don't know, I mean I want to but I can't do it. I feel that as long as I don't transform them they will stay perfect. This only relates to my new yamatos valks, my original V1's I have transformed to heck and back and they are still nice and sturdy. As for the VF-25, I have gotten as far as bringing down the legs to attach the fast pack that came with the tornado gift set and that's about it. Even though it feels nice and sturdy I don't want to risk breaking it while transforming. The main reason being all those stories I have heard about em. As for the Takara Masterpieces, I don't own any. But I do own the Hasbro Masterpieces in which Skywarp is the shitpiece (yes you can say poo here) of the bunch. I got Grimlock today and so far he is ok. I think the only way to fix the QC issue is to have the assembly line worker replaced with robots. Just like cars, they can fine tune and cut and screw and snap everything just right. If that doesn't work than we can move the production to Japan. My G1's are a testament to Japanese toy quality and I am sure they can fix our problem. Yes the prices will go through the atmosphere but at least we will have a piece of mind that the item will be flawless. If your all up for it, we can always try to boycott Yamato. Good idea yes? Well, while you guys think about it I am gonna go to Walmart and get me that At-At.
-
I think the prices are already through the roof and if they continue to suck on the QC than the prices need to come down. Seriously, if anybody here wins the lottery please start you own company and do something about this. Yeah wishful thinking I know.
-
I have a confession to make. I have never really seen Macross 7. My interest in the VF-19 relates to me getting the chunky Bandai one that was released like 10 years ago. Can someone give me a link or something to where I can watch it online and actually know who and what you guys are talking about.
-
I agree, they must be freed and manhandled to your heart's content. Than you put em back in for display purposes.
-
We shouldn't have to do any operations or touch-ups on a toy that costs $150 +. Yamato needs to get it's QC act together or get out and let some other company do the job.
