  1. The theater is fun. When the movie is worth it. For me there's just fewer movies that I need to see on the big screen and others that I'll wait to rent. This is all those movies that are worth a rental only without having to wait.
  2. Look at lack of production design in the episode. They could have made the location look like anything that they wanted. What we got was that place in California that looked like that place where everyone else goes to make a fan film. Sci-fi locations cost more money than fan films can afford. The easiest solution is go outside to the middle of nowhere with a simple script that's mostly just fighting. This episode did that too.
  3. 100% fan service. It looked like fan film. You know some fans go outdoors to that place everyone goes to and films a fight scene. There wasn't much of a script. Everybody just showed up and they fought. Could have stretched this episode to last a complete hour. I don't think they even understand their own characters. Mando seems to openly embracing the isn't baby Yoda just the cutest mania. They saw they had a hit with baby Yoda with the first season and feels we're getting more and more. Fans like baby Yoda lets give them more. There was also another fan favorite. Portrayed now how fans wanted to see them. I kept thinking that character didn't seem honorable or competent in previous live action appearances.
  4. I love it! Sure I like the theater experience but trying to go can be a hassle and not every movie is worth it. There's a ton of movies that I consider worth renting but not worth seeing in a theater. Give me the option to see a movie while it's new without the hassle? You bet I'm on board. Few years ago my ISP offered the cheapest less than a dozen channels basic cable but with HBO included. It has finally paid off
  5. Got it and she's a beauty. Yeah the head sculpt is different but it more TV accurate. I've collected every one of these DX VF-1 (not counting Fast Packs) but if they released a Movie edition of the VF-1S I think I'd pass. The differences between the TV and Movie are too minor to warrant purchasing almost the same toy.
  6. Today is the day. I love DHL's 24 hour service.
  7. 10am and it's in town. Now hoping they deliver today instead of tomorrow as scheduled.
  8. What about DHL? They got that in Canada? Ami Ami shipped mine DHL and I'm just a country below you.
  9. And mine's already in the states. Might get it a day early on Tuesday. Not a fan of DHL prices but I love their speed.
  10. ETA is this Wednesday.
  11. I prefer all my Skull Team heat shields to be black. They should look like a pirate flag.
  12. Ami Ami requested payment. Yeah when I went to pay I saw their payment options. When I visited their shipping info page said DHL is the only working option for the United States. Thought about picking a different one but for all I know it would cause a delay of several weeks. Grand total is like $250 USD and Ami Ami was offering it at the MSRP. DHL is at least crazy fast. My last DHL order from Japan got to me with in 24 hours. If Ami Ami passes it to them on Monday in theory I'd get it by Tuesday.
  13. Come on Ami Ami when are you going to ask me to send the money? I want the VF-1D but I'll skip preorder madness if I can't get it through trust worthy means.
  14. I won't give away any big spoilers but the name of the Episode is called "The Jedi" and you can figure out that he does meet a "Jedi." I have an issue with the Jedi outside of the movies. Everything we learned from the original trilogy tells us that Obi-wan and Yoda were all that was left of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker their student was the return of the Jedi. To the fans the Jedi, their powers and lightsabers are the coolest thing. All stories about Star Wars needs to include the Jedi even stories set during the decades when it is just Obi-Wan and Yoda are hiding out doing nothing. The solution are students who haven't completed their training, those who left the order or learned a different way of the force. They technically aren't Jedi but we all know that they are Jedi. We're Obi-Wan and Yoda just intolerant zealots? Sure there were other potential allies of the force but since they weren't part of the Jedi order they didn't count in their eyes? Adding "Jedi" to every Star Wars story makes it more enjoyable but makes their return in the original trilogy less important. The one semi-spoiler. There's a duel between a "Jedi" and normal person. It a pretty even fight for the most part. The "Jedi" could ended it at the start by a simple force pushing their opponent into a wall knocking them out. We get a duel instead because it is more cooler to watch. This series is really just a sequel to the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons.
  15. I miss these actual hand drawn mecha fights. They are just so far superior than the computer made ones of later series.
  16. Prediction they'll pull an The Force Awakens Luke Skywalker reveal with Ahsoka. Meaning she'll appear in the last second of the last episode of the season without saying a single word of dialog before the credits roll.
  17. It was and it wasn't a filler episode. The plot advanced but it was another side trip. They are going overboard with baby Yoda scenes. There can be too much cuteness. Which is typical of Star Wars.
  18. Thanks for eventually going back on topic.
  19. Mod Roy here. Just cleaned up a bunch of stuff. Maybe I remove too many posts. Maybe I didn't remove enough. Didn't have time to read and evaluate them all. We have a no politics rule here. It is one of the big rules. Please don't force us to close this topic or force us to take any further action. Please play nice.

    Hi-Metal R

These toys are like Macross the First. Both have taken a break. Came back under a new label and restarted production reintroducing the things that have already been release. Then both went on an indefinite leave.
  21. I've got a non-spoiler complaint. The cameos and casting choices for the walk on roles. A character appears says a line or two and I'm taken out on the story because the actor doesn't really fit the Star Wars feel. Because the actor wasn't casted because they fit the part but because they're friend of the production or work behind the scenes.

    Macross figures

Customer Service helped fix my issue with some replacement parts. The peg that fits in the forearm is much thicker than the peg that fits in the hand. When fishing out the peg in the wrist ended up making forearm hole slightly larger. I selected 2 hands to be the life-time hands. I think I know what the problem is. The hand holes might be too small. Combined with fragile/small joint pegs. When testing the new range of motion I noticed the hands were no longer rotating at the hand peg. That hand hole/peg is too tight. Rotation was now happening in the forearm hole that became larger when I was fishing out the broken peg.
  23. I'll skip the GBP if it sold as set with a VF-1. The VF-1D is must have. Problem is I now work in the early morning. I will be asleep during pre-order.
  24. Starting to wonder if Mando might be force sensitive. My reasons? In multiple episodes from one scene to the next he's either killing someone that's barely a threat to him in cold blood or risking his life as favor to people that he doesn't know. Does he sense the good or evil in people's hearts or what?
  25. I feel the same way. When it comes to the subject of Macross I can talk about it all day even if episodes of are more than 20 years old. When the subject is something else my interest is more time limited. The time that I'm most interested in talking about an episode (of any show) is before the next episode airs. It is one thing to mention spoilers from a leak pirated copy before an official release date. If your favorite program new episode comes out every Thursday but you know that you won't be able to watch it till next Saturday then don't seek out the latest news on it.
