I was talking to folks somewhat in the know about the current legal battles of Piranha Games (MWO) in relation to Battletech during the local game session of current demo game session (Wolves bend over the FRR etc) and most of us openly hoped that HG will bite off far too much to chew on in the courts. As for the comic being above discussed. I'm on the fence. Gamer side actually likes some aspects of it... if it was Macross instead of [CENSORED BY GOD!]. the parent side? it wants to slap me silly for even liking such a retarded comic effort. Here's a thought: Is that comic representative of what a Sony-made movie would entail?

OK. I nutted just reading that. Which brings up the question: why do they still blow up nicely when you shot at them (anything with those perfect pitch thread counts)? Can you imagine what a Over technology Tap & Die set looks like?

2022 you say (about the Macross IP license). Is it possible that HG might actually lose it (finally?). How does that figure into Sony's part (the still in production R-film)?

Why does the current holders of the Macross IP in Japan refuse to attack the Company-only-known-for-realistate? Do they really think its not worth it (or is there some kind of dishonor/stain culturally)? Reading the topic has been informative to me (and law knowledge/interest is as far from my personal interests as possible, normally) but it vexes me as my love affair with stompy robots suffers once again... if this isn't supposed to be here, apologies.

#LinkinParked My then future wife & I saw them in CVG in late 2012 (the One Headlight trip). I remember it fondly as it was the realization that we had parked in the grass which would serve as ground zero for the mosh pit that occurred all the F around us. LoL. I'm old AF, I do not mosh very well anymore... I sat with my wife on her car tonight, listening to random LP materials. She is quite... taken back by Chester's passing (but it makes perfect sense: It's Chris Cornel's birthday, I believe?)...

Funny that you mention that. I actually got to see and hold several prototype 3d prints of Reseen mechs that will never be mass produced because of potential litigation from Palladian RPG's Robotech clicky's. I was told that the non-Macross designs were 'safe' but not the Macross-y units. Want to cause the few people still working for Catalyst to have collective aneurisms? spam CBT's threads with links to this thread. That will kill ALL the non-Project Phoenix designs to non-existent status. Actually, please don't. That will kill all the new books which have Dougram-y designs as well as future books (when ever they actually make any...)

One cretic: The main turrets on the SDF-1 are beam-energy-based, not ballistic gun-turrets. Other than that, a very interesting "what-if?" story, sir. I have long ago dissuaded any interest in Robotech but your art certainly does the IP justice. 8-1/2 out of 10 potential Halflings. -
Unless the stars align just right... No. Those ***holes haven't even done Battletech (live or anime) or Macross as live action...
