Stick's wearing off his chicken strips. Try that with your MH or CMs or Gakken! Vostok 7

Flying or not flying an S isn't an indication of anything other than rank. Roy got an S because he was a CAG (right?), Hikaru took over his role (though, MAX did first in DYRL before he went off to fly Q-Raus with Millia). Just because M&M never used S-types is because they either preferred the Js, or their ranks never got high enough, but neither is an indication that they weren't top aces. You can be a top ace and NOT be the highest rank possible, especially if you have the flying skills but not the leadership. Vostok 7

Is there a full moon coming soon? People always go nuts (or get a little more nuts depending on the case ) around full moons. At least he didn't say anything negative about Klan Klan like he usually does. Vostok 7

Heh, I remember those kits. Ahhh, the heady days when Gundam goods were actually readily available in the US. Vostok 7

mr. chogokin, also please remember this is the first time Beagle has ever made anything like this. Mostly they do PVC-type figures. A transforming mecha is a first for them, so really, they wouldn't have the "common sense" to know how to do it right when they are just learning (which is why I compared them to Yamato, the 1/72 Mac+ line was their first attempt at transformable mecha as well). Keeping in mind that this is a first for them, the figure is frakking fantastic (which is why I said that the figure was like if Yamato went right to making the 1/48 valks the first time)! And that's why they are taking suggestions, they want to go from making a fantastic figure, to making an even BETTER figure. Vostok 7

The MW Automotive Thread Quattro SpecV

That same guy who did that C30 race car also did a Challenger "Le Mans/JGTC" style car. I wish I had the money to make mine look like this! http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/2009/top...-Bo-Zolland.htm *drool* Vostok 7 -
Really really really do yourself a favor and read Jenius' review of the Beagle very well. It's very fair and does a good job pointing out the good points and flaws of the figure without making too much out of the flaws like everyone does in the issues thread. Think of the issues thread as being a "worst case scenario" thing that makes mountains out of the molehills that are some of the issues with the figure, mostly just to bring them to the attention of the makers. Just don't expect the thing to be the next coming of Jesus Christ. It's definitely not. But it's still a very good figure. And I felt that it's worth the asking price, even with the supposed "flaws". Where would Yamato be if they never took the fans advice? We would still have 1/72 scale valkyries with broken hips, exposed swingbars and partsforming. The people they are trying to sell to are the ones they need to please, so it only makes sense to ask them for advice. I think it's an excellent move on Beagle's part and I applaud them for listening to the consumer to improve their product. So no, I don't think its outrageous to ask the buyers for ideas for improving. Think of all the companies that have never asked for consumer input on products and where they are today And I wouldn't make much of the issues raised in that thread. The toy is excellent as it is, there are just a few minor issues that need to be addressed to make it absolutely perfect. The only MAJOR issues from the thread that actually effect anything are the fact that the helmeted head is too loose when attached to the toy and that the cloth part of the riding suit really sucks. Both are pretty easily remedied even after purchase. If you are expecting another Gakken based on durability, then you should know that those days are long gone. And of course, the accuracy and posability of the Beagle trumps the Gakken in spades. The Beagle toy is to the Gakken what Yamato valkyries are to a Takatoku 1/55 valkryie. Vostok 7

Hmm, does the OD Tomahawk normally come with two sets of stickers? Mine only came with a bunch of white lines. Also, one of the heels on the back part of the foot broke off on mine, the screw was stripped. The whole foot "frame" would need to be replaced, but I wonder if I could just fill it with something and then try putting the screw back. Dunno. If I'm missing a sticker sheet, then I really need to see if I can get Overdrive to fix it. Vostok 7

Beagle Ride Armor issues and suggestion thread
Vostok 7 replied to Save's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
OK I've spend a few hours with my Ride Armor and came up with a few things that are issues in my mind and something I'd like to see in future releases. What could be improved? 1) There needs to be some sort of locking tab to lock the windscreen to the front section in bike mode. Locking the windscreen in armor mode would be nice but isn't as necessary as locking the windscreen in bike mode. Even just extending the small tabs that are on there and make them lock into the slots that they meet up to on front end would probably do the trick, and not look unsightly in armor mode. 2) There needs to be a better lock on the whole front end assembly. Mine holds together well once you figure out all the little tabs and slots and pegs, but there really needs to be a nice locking mechanism of some sort there to hold it all solid so when you are posing it doesn't just decide to pop apart and then you have to fiddle to get it back together. Maybe a folding tab hidden in the headlight assembly that could meet a slot on the other side, but the tab could fold away in Armor mode. This would lock the front end, and then the rest of the tabs would probably still do a decent job of holding everything together. 3) The arm armor sections need to lock better to keep from spinning freely in both modes. Maybe even just a ratchet mechanism inside the swivels? Even just a little extra tension would work. 4) The lock between the gas tank and the seat needs to be rethought, it tends to want to pop loose a lot. 5) This is the biggest one for me, lock the leg guards. Everything else on the bike goes together so well, then you get to the leg guards and they just hang in place. If there was some way to add a hinged panel somewhere in there that could fold out of the way in armor mode, but in bike mode would fold down and 1) give us an idea of how the leg guards properly align and 2) locks the leg guards in place using the tabs that are already on them, that would be about all you would need. Them just hanging out in space and never wanting to align properly is probably my biggest disappointment of the piece. 6) This is a minor one, but an outer lip on the wheel hub that holds the tires in place would be excellent. The tires have a tendency to slide all around on their hub and never look quite right. Another thing they could look into is the use of magnets to avoid tabs that could break or weaken for trying to lock some of the different assemblies in place. Vostok 7 -
Well I've spent a couple hours now with my Beagle and I can really say I am very impressed. The earlier complaint I had actually corrected somewhat when I noticed it had not been transformed correctly in bike mode from the factory. Its quite a bit better now. Finally got the courage up to transform it and it went well. Despite looking complex the transformation seemd pretty easy actually. Mine locks together pretty well in armor mode and looks great. Only real issue with mine is that the windscreen seems a little "tweaked", it looks a little crooked in bike mode and really crooked in armor mode, but for some reason the whole "back/tank" area looks crooked from the top, like one side isn't seated correctly but it was properly transformed so I dunno. Overall I'm pleased, its a great figure. Impressive for a first attempt for Beagle for a complex transforming toy! Vostok 7

What, the idea of 'Call of Duty 25: We Cover WWII From Every Angle... Again!' doesn't excite you? Vostok 7 -
Just got my OD Green Tomahawk. I'm impressed! Anyone who really says the Destroids are overpriced clearly doesn't own one yet (which would include me!). There's a surprising amount of die-cast pieces in the interior of these things at the main stress points! The OD Green one seems to be the best value too since it has a metal antenna piece as well. Well well worth the $89 I paid for it! Can't wait for the OD Green Defender! Vostok 7

My Beagle arrived today. Looks great. Only issues I see so far is definitely the helmet head is floppy, and I'm kinda disappointed that NOTHING seems to lock together in Bike mode. I probably need more time to fiddle with it, really, but that's about my biggest complaint, everything should really lock together somehow in Bike mode. Like the windscreen flops around, the front arm covers never sit quite right without fiddling, the front end wants to pop apart in all but the best circumstances, the seat and gas tank and tail never sit quite right, and the leg/chain covers want to pop out of the rear wheel. However, it seems that mine "lines up" from front to back when everything is in place, it's just that getting everything in place seems to be a chore. But, I am SUPER picky about stuff so that's probably most of it. When I get some more time (have to go back to work right now), I'll mess around with it some more but right now it feels a little disappointingly fiddly. And to jenius, you said the suspension works? Mine doesn't seem to? I haven't transformed it at all yet. Vostok 7

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A case example would be when a panel doesn't line up just right on your valkyrie, you can't fix it no matter what you try, and it drives you NUTS. Or when transforming things look like crap in certain modes but great in others and it drives you bonkers every time you look at them. Vostok 7

Hey, I'm OCD too but I actually like the chunky armor of the 1/48. It really makes it feel that it's really add-on armor rather than a couple missile boxes glued on and a different paint scheme. Vostok 7

The Xbox 360 Thread Pro Edition

So I applied online for a RROD repair. It told me, obviously, that my warranty expired 3 years ago. (wait, it said my warranty expired in 2006? But the build date was 2005? Now I'm confused.) Anyway, I went through the online repair application and every repair option came up with a $94 fee, except when you said it was an RROD, then it was $0 and you had to accept a terms thing. Does this mean they'll fix it for free? Or that they look at it, determine what it will take to repair it, and then tell me a cost? Vostok 7 -

I love those MiG-25PUs. So unique. However, they are trainers and so they require the second person to have full view since he's a secondary pilot. In a radar operator role, you don't need a fully glazed second cockpit. I really think that 007-vf1 was on the right track doing a enclosed rear cockpit for the radar operator. In line with planes like the MiG-31, SR-71, etc. Also, a enclosed cockpit fits better with the "stealth recon" idea that's going here. A fully glazed cockpit is a HUGE radar target. Vostok 7

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that most Flankers with the tail boom assemblies had rear facing radar, which is most of them. Some of them were just more powerful than others. Vostok 7
