  1. Yaco says on his blog that it is POM, and he has direct connections with Beagle (heck, he had one of these things months before release, and he's thanked by name in the instruction manual). It sure looks like POM to me. Vostok 7

    VF Girls

I doubt truer words have ever been spoken. Vostok 7
  3. And instead of hitting a "start button" to start the game, you have to scream "LISTEN TO MY SONG!!!!!! FIAAA BOMBAAAAA!!" into the microphone! Vostok 7
  4. One of the good things about the Beagle is that they seem to use a lot of POM. POM is much more durable, but obviously it doesn't "look" as good and of course it can't be painted. But the long term is you get a more durable toy if the use lots of POM on possible high stress areas. Vostok 7
  5. SuperHobo, since Save requested people not gum up his thread, I just wanted to point out something about one of your suggestions: 4. Possibly the flat grey parts could be painted silver? I believe you are speaking of places like the engine? My understanding is most of those flat gray pieces are made of POM which is extremely difficult to paint. Hobbyists have done it, but it takes very specific mixes of paint. If you read Yaco's blog you'll see that he painted those areas silver like you suggest, but if you translate his Japanese, he says it was nearly impossible to get it to work right, and if I understand the crude translation right, he was worried about paint chipping and flaking in the long run. I'm sure Beagle could find an expensive industrial paint that will adhere to POM, but guaranteed it wouldn't be cheap and I don't think we want Beagle upping the price of an already very expensive toy Even Yamato can't put paint applications on their POM parts, and indications show that they probably have a much higher production run of their pieces than Beagle is doing. But I suppose it never hurts to suggest it, eh? Vostok 7

    1/48 GBP-1S Set

It's not hard, I figured it out with just the instructions. Just beware, if your valk has even the slightest hint of loose joints in the legs, this thing will magnify them A LOT! But it sure looks cool!!! Pictures soon. Vostok 7

    1/48 GBP-1S Set

I had an LV1 but I sold it. Not a fan of the "Stealth VF-1J". The Urban Camo set sure is cool, though, just don't know how it would look on the LV2 Vostok 7

    1/48 GBP-1S Set

So, I just got my Woodland Camo 1/48 GBP-1S set from Kev @ Valkyrie-Exchange (couldn't beat $75 for the set!!) and now I'm mad. Why am I mad? Because no one ever told me how cool these things are!!!!! The awesome fixed pose hands? The side covers? The huge sticker sheet? The pure awesomeness that is the GBP-1S armor? Oh my, I got it today and looking over the parts was like being in Macross heaven. Now, will work get over so I can put it on my 1/48 LV2? Vostok 7

I'm guessing that the "if" is pretty strong there Vostok 7
  10. It's now coming March sometime, right? Vostok 7
  11. That's really cool, I like the steampunk style of the mecha. Vostok 7
  12. I highly doubt it will be any better. With luck it will be the same. But that's the main reason I sprung for the Beagle, Toynami's reputation has preceded itself. Hopefully Toynami is doing nothing more than putting a different head on (and a different sticker on the stand), throwing it in a different box and calling it a day because anything else seems to end in disaster with them. 13. Oh yeah, I knew there was one with the Stratos. Vostok 7
  14. Don't forget the pineapple salad. Vostok 7
  15. Indeed. Trust me, as cool as the Lotus is, I'd never pay asking price for one. The interiors are terrible, the ergonomics suck, and they are wayyyy too small. But are they a blast to drive? Heck yes. Vostok 7
  16. To call the Lotus a "toyota" is to seriously downplay what they are. Take all the good things about Toyota (reliability, long lasting engines, steady flow of parts), combined with the sharpest, quickest handling car you'll ever find and you'll have the Lotus. Seriously, it's like strapping a Celica engine to a Gokart and then putting a body around it. But here's my point: Drive one before you call it a "toyota". Vostok 7
  17. In some ways, even the Wii's Miis had better choices Being able to buy new outfits will be nice, but it needs to get implemented. I still wonder what genius at Microsoft came up with the avatars for the NXE, especially since it's so painfully obvious they are a direct ripoff of the Miis. Just gotta wonder exactly what was going through his brain Vostok 7
  18. Stone White. Had to get white because, well, all my cars are white (so easy to take care of) and because of the car in Vanishing Point Vostok 7
  19. I hate to say it, but the new NCC-1701 looks kinda retcon-tastic. Hopefully it's just the toy that makes it look too bulky. The Refit/-A will always be my favorite of the Enterprises, and the Miranda-class will always be my ultimate favorite ST ship, but it's nice to see they TRIED to keep some original flavor in the new re-design. I mean, after Enterprise, how much worse could the Star Trek franchise get? It can only get better, right? Vostok 7
  20. On the subject of Dodge Challengers (btw, I'm getting one soon )... I wonder what your beloved Ahnuld would think about your little matchbox car, Agent ONE Vostok 7
  21. Vostok 7
  22. Interesting. Except, sitting seductively taking off (or putting on) a skimpy bikini is somehow the same as anthropomorphic (the animals in Lion King weren't strictly anthropomorphic) animals which happen to be naked in completely non-sexual situations? I think you're really beginning to reach for your justifications Vostok 7
  23. Yeah, I don't see a Lancer anywhere! I loves me some Lancia Delta Integrale. I think good ol' skullone (a previous Macrossworld member from Greece) would be having a field day right now, because if I recall correctly, he LOVED the Delta Integrale. And I don't think it's a problem having an Italian car in a Japanese show. Since when can Japanese anime ONLY have Japanese goods in it? Much less "futuristic" ones? I think it's awesome that he drives an '80s car, especially one with such history (An '80s car in 2050s would be like driving '70s cars today, for some people that's the only way to fly!). Besides, one of the coolest anime cars IMO is Misato's Alpine A310 in Evangelion. How about that, a French car from the early '70s in a futuristic Japanese anime, whoa it can't be! (the A310 may be French, but Alpine has a storied career in rally racing, much like Lancia.) Vostok 7
  24. And by 'Credit Card Bill' you mean 'Significant Other', right? Vostok 7
  25. I don't know why, but this one always makes me giggle uncontrollably. Vostok 7
