As a prototype, yes, it may be possible. As a mass production toy, that maybe highly unlikely. But until proven I just don’t see this sold as a standard production toy.

Whats Lying on your Workbench MK IV
nightmareB4macross replied to Urashiman's topic in The Workshop!
I use styrene and Plastuct Weld. Depending on the application, mm widths will change as needed. For a build like this I usually use 1.5mm down to .5mm. Any thinner is used for detailing or to build up parts that have been cut a bit short. The door, hinge, and retainer are all styrene, no metal pins needed for this. With the PW I have keep a separate bottle where I add plastic bits and shavings to create goop that acts as a filler and to strengthen joints where gaps are visible. Once thoroughly dry, I can sand the parts smooth. This same concoction will also help you bond styrene to other materials like metals and provide a very solid adhesion. Just be sure to clean and rough the metal surface first. For the landing gear I pre-shape metal rods or paper clips and envelope them with styrene to provide extra rigidity and solid structures. Hope this helps. -

Setting more parts. Legs are just magnetized to stick together. The landing gear are more than strong enough to hold up the weight of a VF-1 with any armor configuration, and more. -

How many actual variants of Jetfire are there? Will this include bagged and reboxed variants?

I’m sure I have seen parts of this diorama here and there, but never the full display as this. Enjoy. -

Why is there a VF-19 nosecone on the back? This thing will be a brick and half once it’s in alt mode. Make it stop.

For the love of Macross, please make it stop. I’m happy to see Macross have more exposure via a more prominent brand, but this just isn’t right. 🥲

Finally found one for an amazing price. Clean complete and oh so nice. Maybe I’ll find the Strike Pack one day for just as great a deal as this.

Unix Square Robotech VF-1J
nightmareB4macross replied to GGemini's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
As much as I like the proportions of the PlaMax, this is nice to have if it is 1/100 since it will be fully painted and assembled. The only gripe I have about this are those weird shoulder joints. Still it looks pretty good. -

You guys are doing some amazing work!! The level of detailing and paint throughout all these projects is truly inspiring. Thank you all for that. I’ll just keep on trudging away with my little ol’ custom. These landing gear bays are getting cramped. -

Wow, those old Arii kits sure bring back some good memories. Those will be a fun build. That resin recast from e2046 is an amazingly detailed flagship. Once complete details really pop out. Post pictures when you’re done. Here is a little inspiration and part of my list of kits to complete.
