  1. I have more pictures, I'll try to put them online tonight or tommorow!
  2. Wait... HOW did you sculpt his head again? Seriously though, thanks for the great talks about your awesome customs. Can't wait to see what you pull off next year!
  3. I'm a SRW newbie (only one I have is for the Wonderswan), so could one of you guys tell me which ones have the Macross units in them or are best overall? Preferably for Dreamcast or PS1, don't have a PS2 yet.
  4. Thanks for the links Captain, seems like the first two sites didn't have the same quality as Cyclone's images. That last page has a lot of great info though, very interesting.
  5. I can definately feel your pain Vostok, the same thing almost happened to me on Friday night. Hope your insurance is nice about it, don't get too upset! Just look athe the bright side... Aftermarket bumper. B)
  6. A few years ago I remember talking with a guy in my area (Sacramento) who had been able to buy one of the DYRL arcade games from a local mini-golf place or something like that... Very cool. It's just not the same playing it on an emulator.
  7. Very funny. The thought of that makes me want to buy some Kimba anime (Right Stuf and Pioneer has them IIRC) and show the stuff to my nephew and nieces. A few years ago they had a tshirt going around (I remember seeing at a Kinokuniya Bookstore, maybe at Kimono My House too) and it had a picture of Kimba looking into a mirror and seeing Simba and saying something like "Mirror, mirror on the wall.. who's the real one afterall?"
  8. The official webpage for the game is up, check it out here. Looks quite similar to the original. Wish it was coming out for Dreamcast.
  9. Runaway had Patlabor beat by 5 years or so. And Blade Runner beat Runaway by two years.
  10. I'm not much of a Transfan, but that design is definately cool. Any chance of a toy being made based on it?
  11. Those icons look awesome. I PM'ed you my email address. How'd you make them, any special programs?
  12. Scans from an info pamphlet were just scanned I found the links on the GML. Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Not much use unless you can read Japanese, but interesting none-the-less.
  13. Wait... do they become playable after you beat them, or what?
  14. Kinda pointless since they they have vending machines just about everywhere you look as it is. A big difference between Macross and real life currently is that we don't all dress like it's still the 80's. Or maybe some of us do.
  15. I dunno about this game, but I know he was involved in the production of VFX and VFX-2.
  16. Should be fixed. I personally wish they had made miniatures of these designs, but I'm guessing it was a purely paper-counter type deal.
  17. Bandai is gonna be showing off this Macross game at the Tokyo Game Show next month. We can definately expect to see some new coverage on it then. (Source)
  18. Yeah, I finished a revised (and corrected version). Unfortunately, my school's internet is laggy as hell tonight, so I can't even upload the pictures. I'll have to do it tommorow. I hope. EDIT: Pages are up and working... Hope all the names are correct. http://www.yellowlightman.com/mw/jpbt
  19. And that's why the Alien kicks the ass of all other Star Trek, Star Wars, "humans with extra ____" type aliens. B)
  20. Cyclone sent me the pictures he had of the Japanese Battletech designs, and I uploaded them at: http://www.yellowlightman.com/mw/jpbt/index.html I broke them up into two pages so it wouldn't kill all those 56k'ers out there. Enjoy. EDIT: Cyclone just sent me more pictures and corrected me on soem naming mistakes. I'll fix everything and re-upload the new pictures tommorow after my classes.
  21. Yeah, and it kind of clashes with the titles of the previous two episodes. Odd... translation error, I hope.
  22. Yeah, I never even knew about the allied-command thing until a few months ago. Played fine without it. Were the PS2 graphics actually worse than the DC graphics? I've never seen the PS2 version. Although I wish the DC version had two player mode.
  23. I remember watching Tekkaman Blade on TV on Sunday mornings like... seven years ago? I never saw enough to get into it really, but at the time there was next to no other anime on TV (Sailor Moon, I think) so I was pretty excited when I did catch it. Seems as though they released a sequel OVA, don't know if it ever got released here though.
  24. I think thats a bit of an exaggeration. If anything, the declining popularity of the tabletop game genre lead to FASA's bankruptancy. The only ill effects of the HG vs. FASA dispute was that FASA can no longer use the Macross inspired designs. Here's another weird twist, the Japanese version of Battletech had designs by Studio Nue. At one point I had pictures of them and they looked pretty cool. Wish I hadn't lost those.
