  1. :( :( :( :( :( So bummed... it's seemed like the show was planning on ramping back up after the sort of lull after the end of last season... sh!t was about to hit the fan.
  2. I have to admit, while I love the look of the Unicorn FIXMC, I will be waiting for a sale or price drop... that bastard is EXpensive! I only paid like a hundred bucks for my G3 MC, so I can wait...
  3. This... a hundred percent this. nmb4m, your post is full of nonsense. The monstrosity wasn't viable... end of discussion. The fact that they're trying to swing some sort of product for the ultra-dedicated is commendable and completely unprecedented (that I know of).
  4. Pete, your doom and gloom is killin' me That's not to say I don't necessarily agree with you... I think Transformers probably could use a year break from the mainstream toy shelves or something... the glut of stuff that comes out around the movies seems to just totally overstay the welcome that all the additional momentum garners.
  5. Glad to hear it's cleared up... I, too think you should take the offer, Graham, and use it in some fashion for the site, maybe some kind of raffle for site funds, or a benefit?
  6. I should get Unit 2... the big shoulders and aggressive proportions of the Yamato sculpt work better for Ohta slinging a shotty I don't think I have a single Unit 2 figure.
  7. They're not models, but these just came off the workbench... I am loving my airbrush, and trying new things on every figure. Soviet Space Troopers!
  8. People always assume my Mac+ shirt from here is for Ace Combat >.< and I've not gotten any comments on my MWCon shirt... I just got a 3A shirt that I'm hoping someone will recognize and become my friend I DO go to a tech school full of dorks.
  9. Wow, the engineering on making the pod things (what are they called) not sag is really clever... I love the monstrous proportions and they big powerful looking ZZ legs... might have to pick up this HGUC!
  10. You produce a really small run when the profit margin sucks. It's typically a matter of necessity, not an attempt to screw the 'true fan'... Yamato likely went waaaaaaay over the top in the process of making this and realized it had outdone itself, and is not trying to recoup something.
  11. Hi Doodler, unfortunately I do not have Sky Lynx... I believe he is pretty large though, bigger than a 1/60 VF-1. I have some newer shelf pics forthcoming, actually... my display right now is like 9/10 vinyl Kaiju, a couple new JP G1 transformers, an a couple big new toys that came today!
  12. I forgot to ever download the 3rd igloo episode with the crazy proto guntank... can anyone PM me a link?
  13. Good crap dude... so much wrong with your post. First off, 'Japs'? Really? On a website for Japanese toy fandom, complete with Japanese members? Really? Secondly, the waist issue is intermittent, and the fact that Yamato released a detailed guide on how to fix it shows a huge amount of customer service and initiative unlike anything we've seen in the Valkyrie lines. When I finally get one, I'll have real qualms about having to do this surgery, as the instructions are pretty much fool-proof. I can understand the argument that it maybe shouldn't need it, but the one thing we've consistently seen from m,any toy makers in the past 5 years is that manufacturing standards are not what they used to be, and it's just become a fact of life for many companies, so whining about it isn't going to get us anywhere.
  14. I gave up caring about new fiction for TFs a looong time ago, and have become content to enjoy the existing fiction and appreciate the toys, for the most part, solely on their merits as toys, something which the bulk of them excel at, and that alone gives me enough enjoyment to keep up the TF-dom. I'd say give it some time, and figure out why exactly you love(d) the toys and collecting so.
  15. OK one question. I've seen multiple posts about how the double-ball-joint ankle is delicate and breakable... has anyone actually BROKEN one, or are we just finding things to cry about?
  16. IDW's art has its moments, but their writing and editing are absolutely god awful. I finally got myself to the point where I refuse to buy another IDW book ever. All Hail Megatron was the absolute worst dreck I have ever stupidly bought. I'll gladly take Dreamwave's WarWithin stuff, even tho Pat Lee was a crook any day over the crap IDW's put out.
  17. I'll tell you in ~10 minutes, depending if I win I don't know about like a plastic traditional kit... EDIT: YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won this: http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/111389702 And am soooooo stoked! I don't know which WonderFest it is from, and I've never seen one before, but this kit looks amazing! I need a basic Microman figure for the pretender fig bits tho. I think garage kits like this that update older figures are neat, but to be fair, this kind of figure could easily be superseded by an updated toy release, but we'll never see it.
  18. I got the G3 set, and will chime in that the GFF Metal Composite 78-2 is a bloody awesome toy.
  19. LOVE the new Dragun! Con-battler looks better than most versions, even tho I still won't buy it Hopefully the totally rad folded arms on Dragun don't end up being a Tamashii exclusive or anything lame like that!
  20. Awesome. I've been seeing more people happy with the new Bruticus lately, and will definitely have to pick it up!
