  1. But may do one in the near future with an opening canopy and cockpit and even a pilot... Yeah yeah promises promises, you big tease
  2. No MN never did a 1/72 fighter pod, his was a 1/100 and was an original creation.
  3. Hmm, I had one once and then sold it cuz it was such poor quality. Not only the air bubbles but the thing wasn't symmetrical. I wish you would use it as a starting point and fix the thing and then resell it, I'd buy one.
  4. There's also an ultra rare but kinda crappy garage kit of a 1/72 Zentraedi Fighter Pod.
  5. Nice drawing! Those are some deadly titties, kinda like a fembot but with missiles
  6. Dude you rock! that's the one, thanks for the ref. pics those oughta help Thanks again
  7. Man the obscure Macross stuff has gotta be my favorite! I had to have Cobywan's 1/72 Lancer II kit.
  8. Actually it's the 1/72 P3C Orion from Hasegawa, I'm building it for a friend who use to fly them in the Navy. The squadron markings that come with the kit just happen to be the same one he flew for.
  9. I wish I could post a link to my how-to building my 1/72 Defender kit on the old boards. I tried to make it look like a weathered walking tank instead of a robot and had a lot of good tips in there. I must say my models didn't start to come out how I always wanted them to until I got an airbrush. I will say I like brushing flat enamels and spraying acrylics, go to an art store and buy yourself some good brushes. A really fine one, a medium size one and a large one for doing larger surfaces the finer the feathered edge the better. I know those cheap white Testors brushes and you'd have better luck painting with your toothbrush. The other thing to keep in mind is it's usually better to apply several thin even coats instead of one heavy thick one. Flat enamels dry fast too so you can't overwork the paint. Get it on as best you can then leave it alone. There's tons of modelling advice about building armour vehicles on the web as well, try google and do a search. Oh and find yourself a good hobby shop, hopefully one that specializes in plastic models. I drive 30 minutes each way to get to the one I shop at.
  10. Oh now that's sweet, what other Macross customs have you done?
  11. Any grocery store in the cleaning supplies aisle
  12. Ok I read something on a website about just applying the wash to one side of the raised panel line (preferably the lower side). I think I'm gonna go with this technique.
  13. Ok what do you do with raised panel lines? My usual oil wash technique seems like it would only highlight the fact that the darn things are raised. I was thinking of dry brushing them a darker color but it seems like that would be hard to do without getting the darker color on the rest of the model. Stupid Hasegawa and they're old mold reissues.
  14. Hey Shawn, amazing collection, one error I saw, you have the Hasegawa YF-19, kit number 9 under Isamu listed as a YF-21.
  15. Any other ideas for modern buildings in HO scale? or better yet 1/72 scale. Seems silly all these train Mfg's sell modern trains but no modern accessories.

    Wow!

The VF-1D looks like one of the old Arii/Imai 1/100 models
  17. Here's the link, they don't have any HO structures I could see. www.katousa.com
  18. They're definately articulated cuz in the other pics they fingers are in different positions.
  19. Any thoughts on how this guy articulated the fingers on this Spartan, I think it looks pretty sweet and would like to recreate it.
  20. My Brain, it hurts IT HURTS!!!!! AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
  21. I don't get the "no vertical stabalizer" thing, it's basically got the same as the f-14.
  22. Oh maybe you're right, I couldn't remember how he got back aboard. I was thinking he bailed out or something and they picked him up.
  23. Was Folker's plane actually ever recovered, I assumed he got shot down and the plane ended up in the drink. What Ichijyo get's is a brand new 1S painted in Folker's colors, I could be wrong. Looks great btw.
  24. I use some of the Gunze Aqueous paints along with my Tamiya paints. All of which I buy at my local hobby shop. The Gunze Aqueous and the Mr. Color are virtually identical in color to each other. One is an acrylic and one is a Laquer paint.
  25. Yup sanding is what you're gonna have to do. And I think you mean canopy not cockpit, cockpit is where the little man sits
