  1. Bet you didn't expect it this soon. We just recieved another email today stating that they had just recieved word back from the factory, and the release date has now been set back to early July.
  2. I don't claim to be privy to the decision making process of Toynami so I don't claim to know the answer to my question. However, if what you say is true, why would they delay the release of the YF-1R until after Christmas? If your theory is true, how do you explain that Toynami delayed the release of the item until after the busiest shopping days of the year? Wouldn't it be better to do so before Christmas?
  3. (Sam, you might want to run before they get any ideas...I'll try to distract them.) Seriously, though, while this is bad news, I would rather they get a product out late and do it right than to have them rush out shoddy product but meet the deadline. As for the location of the thread, I figured it was news enough to get its own thread (I didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle with the 34 other pages already placed in that thread). If the powers that be wish to remove it, I will repost in the pinned thread.
  4. I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but we just found out that the Scott Bernard, whose original release date was in May, now has a planned release date of June. I thought the heathens on this forum might like to know.
  5. Speaking of West End games, has anyone here played Paranoia? That's is a truly fun and incredibly silly system. I like D20 for its simplicity. There aren't a lot of complicated exceptions to every situation. However, there are unrealisitic things about it because of the simplicity. For example, when one character is chasing another, its perfectly possible for one character to catch another simply because people take turns running, rather than running at the same time. As for multiple characters per person, its cool if you don't have the players, but I have always liked it if you can get a one to one ratio. Having multiple characters per person tends to lend itself to party unity quite a bit, and some of the most interesting parts of role-playing are when the characters disagree about something.
  6. I didn't see where anyone was actually extending invitations to play. Bah! Do not bother me with the facts! I figured with the talk of the webrpg stuff, plus this being a macross internet site, I thought there might be a possiblity of a game being put together. If there wasn't a possibility before, is anyone interested in actually trying to form a group? I am always interested in learning new systems, and as noted before I would be interested in trying this one out. BTW, thanks for the links, I'll check them out.!
  7. So is this a home-brew, standard rules from a system, or a hybrid? I am interested, but am not familiar with the system. Where would I get the source books I would need to get up to date? Also, you mentioned a website. Do you mind providing the link so I could check it out? I pretty big on RPGs, though most of my experience has been with fantasy genre stuff such as AD&D and hackmaster. It would be a switch for me to play a future setting, but I would be game.
  8. Yes, that information helps out a lot. Thanks for the assistance, I appreciate it.
  9. Yeah, I could see how that wouldn't make sense. Let me see if I have this right: They had the films too, they just packaged them in such a way so that it was possible to get the bonus disc without actually getting the movie?
  10. Thanks for the heads up. So besides their interest in giving you the bonus disc instead of the actual film, the service is alright? How is the turnaround time?
  11. Hey guys, I heard about this site on another forums, and I was wondering if anyone had tried it out. I have heard that the anime selection is pretty good, but I have no idea how the service is. Does anyone have any info on them? Thanks.
  12. Thanks Roy. Also, a thank you to Ewilen for bringing it to my attention.
  13. Hi all. I just wanted to post on record that whomever that was is not in any way affiliated or endorsed by Blue Forge Games. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
  14. Hey guys, Thanks for all the comments, we really appreciate them! Just a quick question, if you wouldn't mind: There are a lot of pictures on the reviews, both on this one, and the one's for the YF-21 and the VF-11. Is the download time prohibitive for viewing the page? This question is really apt for all those 56kers out there. Do we need to try to minimize the download time, or is it okay where it stands now? Thanks ahead of time.
  15. The main problem here is not the speed.... is how a simple variation of the basic VF1 would be able to attain such incredible speeds with a simple armor down-grade. Sure... its lighter, but it would have to attain amazing speeds to be invisible. Heck... even a VF1 with fast packs isn't invisible to radar, and goes so fast..... does the 1R achieves light speed? That is a good topic for debate. I was just trying to explain the context in which the word "stealth" was used. Unfortunately, I don't have any more information about these inconsistencies within the storyline.
