    Looks like HLJ's black friday sale only rewards instock impulse buys. Good for them to clear stock, no reason to buy if you're a loyal PO'd customer. You have to order and pay within the period to get this discount... it's a book of conditions haha. So it wouldn't have worked with the VF-OD unless you paid up front I guess.

    Id say they cost so much because... it sold at those prices at auction a year or so ago and that's just what secondary markets have stayed at. There just aren't enough Votoms fans to swing prices one way or another. They are in the SEMI-sweet spot of being rare, but not being super desired outside of the small segment of Votoms fans. Most casual Votoms fans will settle for a $150 dollar V1 IF they are going to get one. I personally think $400 for any of them is a bit much for the toy you get. It's big, but a bit dated. However, if you're a huge fan and you like to mod and paint - I can see somebody paying that much. They can be beautiful and impressive for sure. It's an odd piece. I think you need to be a hobby guy to full appreciate it.

    Still not sure how deep in the SW line I want to go. Think I might just get a vader and fett when they ship. I'm really not going to collect 10 or 20 Hot Toys Star Wars figures.

    If they make it a tank it's not the megatron people want for G1. And a copout. Not that it wouldn't be cool, but that mould needs to be made first. I hope these releases will push Takara to expand the production process a bit, but probably not. X-trans won't ship until late Dec or Early Jan so there is plenty of time to cancel.

    Yeah, I see no calculations for Black Friday. HLJ is like the only Japanese site that does that. I think what you're seeing is their allotment is gone and you'll see some cancels come up. Unless they ask for more. I'm glad I got my two in. Expensive for two but I think I'll enjoy it. And honestly as cheap as the Yen is right now...the BF discount would be nice but it's not a make or break.
