    I’m sad that this is not the sculpt we saw a couple of years ago at that toy show. I like the look of the base Optimus. The combined form has a sever form of tiny head syndrome and it is kibble-tastic which seems to be a requirement for all Armada Optimus Primes. I'm shocked that Hasbro is allowed to waste so much plastic on him. I guess that is the Commander Class budget on display.

    As someone who almost never played an FPS game on a console I thought that the Metroid Prime controls were better suited for consoles than the Playstation X-Box approach with two sticks (and aim assist). But the controls might only suit a game if you build the rest of the experience around it. That said, the Ing Emperor really stressed my index finger…

    I wonder if I should get it? I still have my Game Cube with the original version of Metroid Prime…. hm… I would be more interested in a Metroid Prime 2 remaster (since I never was able to beat the final boss) and I think it would benefit from better graphics. If I remember correctly some of the areas were hard to get a good read on the surroundings (and that underwater boss was horrible). What I am most interested is part three since I never owned a Wii or a Wii U. I guess I have to buy all the remasters to show Nintendo that there is interest in the sequels and the franchise in general.

    I wonder how hard it must be for the creators of the promotional material not to type Jazz instead of Mirage if they have a smidge of Transformers background knowledge. Also the blue eyebrows (?!?!) make it look like Mirage has a visor instead of eyes… …you know, like Jazz.

    Preorders for K3 Jazz are up. He is "only" $310 but a super barebones release. He doesn’t come with a gun and a shoulder rocket launcher but a combi weapon acting as both: I will also skip the D4Toys release since the exclusive piece is only a screaming face. I would like to have more weapon options but I said before that I hope he doesn’t come with superfluous accessories so I guess Flame Toys can’t win.     Jazz is looking good. I’m not too keen on the thigh swivels and the holes in his forearms. I wonder if this will be a cheaper release or if they include some useless extra piece (like on Rodimus) to get to the $400 MSRP.

    I’m confused why the Strike Gundam is getting so many different releases. Three variants of the original Suit and two releases of the Strike Rouge. Yet we have no powered down version and we only ever have two variants of the Strike Freedom. And the Strike Freedom is, to my knowledge, the more popular one. Very odd.

    It is iffy. The original had lots of fit and finish problems (like not staying together all that well). It also had the gun tonfas hanging down in fighter mode I reckon. So it is not as good as the VF-31 from the Delta TV show. Could they fix the issues for this release? Maybe, but I think it is unlikely since we heard nothing about that.

    Massive Lego leak for potentially upcoming sets (website is in German): https://www.promobricks.de/lego-leak-umfrage-2023/157463/ Most interesting to me is the UCS Sail Barge in roughly Minifig scale. The leaks apparently come from a survey were they showed unannounced sets to the participant.

    Yeah you are right about the G1 classification for Skyquake. I think because of the garish colors Euro G1 and G2 just run into each other. I'm a bit surprised that we didn’t see Nemesis Leo Prime but I guess it was too close to the release of the regular one.     Instead of Evo Leader Prime Skyquake I'd love to see the repaints like Prime Dreadwing, Machine Wars Starscream or G2 Skyquake. All those are more appealing than Prime Skyquake. Nice review on Tarn. Can’t wait to get mine. I probably will buy the purple redeco of the DJD to complete the Tarn trifecta.

    I think that depends what you are looking for. I think the Transformers G1 cartoon looks poorly dran and poorly proportions so I prefer something more stylized; an idealized version of the character. However this bears the risk of looking out of style pretty quickly, while I don’t think my thoughts about the look of the G1 cartoon will change any time soon. I like how the side chest pieces flare out. Not sure about the rest
