  1. Oh ho ho ho! Now THAT is worth looking at..... finally, a cosplayer who's site I'll check out.... Haha, we all sucked up her bandwidth for the month!!!
  2. But there is only one God... "Colt 45... Gets 'em every time!"
  3. Excluding the VF-9, which will already be included in my planned image- Which other VF would you like to see in a Macross-M3 image? Secondly, would you like the VF you choose to be in Millia or Max theme? I'm pooling ideas for a future project to throw together when I have moments*. *Don't worry, A1, I'm still working on the "other" things.
  4. For some reason I find the word "fling" slightly disconcerting in that sentence...
  5. I love the hate mail, especially how people can get so pissed over a joke. People are dumb.
  6. Xenosaga was boring as hell. I finally sold it off after wasting about 20 hours running around doing about nothing. I'm sure you can guess that I'm not to excited about II.
  7. Nah... the closest thing was BattleTech Center, where you actually sat down in a closed cockpit and could play against 7 other people. Tons of buttons and controls. It was great!!! There was a basic set up where the joystick controlled where you went, the throttle stick controlled how fast you went and that was it. But you could enter in a code on the keypad to unlock the other controls for advanced players. There was the right and left foot pedals, the torso rotation, different radars, IR camera view, seperate load, RoF and link controls for each weapon (up to 20-25, I think)... I miss Battletech Center. You don't have to miss it. Check out Dave and Busters. They are a chain resturant and arcade (with Bar). Some of them have the Battletech sim pods. I am sure that there is a webpage out there for them and I am sure that they have a list somewhere of ones posessing the sim pods. I know the one in Cincinnati has them and I am pretty sure that the one in Chicago has them. They have introduced new mechs in the last couple of years. Check it out. Woo-hoo!!!!! wasp, you just made my day!
  8. I'm pretty sure the official language of commercial air travel is English. But, also, in Patlabor 2, the JSDAF Fighters that scramble to intercept the bad guys also speak english with their air traffic controllers. So maybe the Japanese have adopted english for all of their in-flight communications needs, and that just carried over into Macross? edit: "gollum" speak (japanses).
  9. Yeah, but he's kind of flaking out. I mean, during filiming the whole Cantina Scene was behind budget and several alien costumes weren't finished by the time they needed to film, including the band. Yet since it eventually became one of the most popular and recognizable scenes in cinema history, you don't see George redoing it for the Special Editions in order to finally visualise how he "really meant it to be." The Special Editions were nothing more then ILM showing off it's new CGI capabilitites. There's nothing terribly wrong with them except Han shooting first and the exclusion of the 'Nub-nub' Ewok song at the end of RotJ (yes, if you're going to keep the Ewoks in, go all the way). Part of the problem is that we're so used to CGI now that the new special effects look more dated than the original effects.

  11. I love the real special effects, like the hologram effect or the shields on the Trade Federation droids.
  12. Not at all. Basically, sniping is shooting from a hidden position. You can be two feet away and still be a sniper if the enemy doesn't know you're there.
  13. Congrats Graham!!! It's the spitting image*!!! *of your wife^!!! ^Thank goodness.
  14. Just watched it. Nice story. Horrible cel animation. Bad consistency with the characters designs and blending of cel and CGI. Very disjointed in the story telling. Probably weakest episode yet. Still good, though. Can't wait for finale.
  15. First try. Terribly easy.
  16. You can also see how much they swing down in episode 24, when Hikaru flies in the Super Valkyrie and transforms into GERWALK they show it clear as day.
  17. I hope you take this as an indication of my love for you, with me bending my Design Works in such a way to scan it... Follow the arrows.
  18. Here's a VERY basic fighter to GERWALK animation.
  19. Eh... I totally disagree. Different anime have their own different set of physics and rules governing their world (usually based on the creators whim). Because this is so, any versus discussion becomes moot since you can't accurately determine how something from one anime would work in another. Now, if they were set in the same world, adn we knew this going in, THEN one vs the other threads would be cool. ........? isnt' that kinda exactly what i said? Oops. I meant to reply to the "Fun to geek out on" part of your statement. <- (stupid wdc)

  21. Plus, it's simply physics that a large enough explosion will create a mushroom cloud. It doesn't neccesarily have to be nuclear in origin.
  22. Actually, I was very disappointed with Voices of a Distant Star. Sure, the CGI animation is great, but the cel animation was lacking, iMHO. Also, the story, while showing potential, was wasted in this amateur director's hands. It was wildly dis-jointed and ruined any enjoyment I felt about the aforementioned CGI animation.
