  1. kinda on the fence about whether I should keep my 2nd order with HLJ. I got it at the sweet Black Friday price of 26,568 yen, and I got my 1st one cheaper at Big in Japan.
  2. i'll just stick with 1 piece for this release. Great that NY bringing back more stock means more peeps can get their hands on one. Hope this bodes well for the 25S re-release.. whenever that is happening
  3. Card says MDE weapon set. It's 1/72 scale Pic is too small / blur to read that card Would prefer a Destroid Cheyenne myself. Love that Armored Core look it has going.
  4. Though with Arcadia's current pricing scheme, I wonder if that would really be something fans would like (not to mention Frontier wouldn't have happened without Bandai right? or did I get that wrong somewhere?) a VF-1 used to be sub 10,000yen pricing. Now, they're up there with the VF-25s' pricing (which is arguably more complicated to make then a VF-1), and this is based off an older mold.
  5. Pretty sure HLJ has done this before.. calling the YF-29 a VF-29 in my confirmation mail....
  6. Is there a reason for them to do this? Aside from giving people a fighting chance against scalpers I guess?
  7. Sold out by tthe time I got in... Also wth HLJ? Been using Ozma and YF-29 to refresh daily, and they go ahead and pull a stunt by labelling it as YF-28, and misspell Ozma as "Ozuma"
  8. oh yes. that too. I was refreshing like mad on amiami and it was an instant sold out. servers didn't give me much problems surprisingly. it was hobby search that gave me problems this time round
  9. it's more a case of our ISPs being slower to refresh when the thing went live in Japan, coupled with what is presumably a lower stock count. Then again, Bandai stuff always had a tendency to sell out very fast on Amiami, especially the popular stuff like Kamen Rider and Robot Damashiis.
  10. Amiami and Hobbysearch's pricing aren't MSRP though.. they're discounted prices... Also, generally when it comes to DX Chogokin Macross stuff, I've found that, you either take a gamble and score one at whatever price you're willing to pay during preorder, and swallow your pride if the figure is still available (usually at SRP) after release, or you wait and try to score 1 at whatever price after release. I'd rather just secure one now than worry about scoring one later, because I've had to pay out the ass for pieces that were hard to find before. Off course, even after securing one on NY (they're usually the last bastion of hope), I'm still holding out for a better price @ HLJ (not to mention being able to combine my shipping easily).
  11. anything below retail is a good price to me. Where is this price from?
  12. your contact might likely be correct. The past few valks releases from the YF-29 30th, to the recent YF-29 Isamu (even the VF-25F) have been easy to find for me, as I had monitored them even after getting mine. Even the VF-27 is still available Heck, I managed to get 4 VF-25Fs...because I'm just crazy that way.. (I really should get rid of the spare one).
  13. and this is why I'm kinda glad I already paid off the YF-19 (mostly because it's the cheapest at Big in Japan, and they demand upfront payment). Hope they don't run away with my money though :X
  14. Pretty sure the Amiami watch list doesn't do jack. If anything I believe it's a wishlist for Amiami to scour for demand to put in their pre-owned list. Cuz' I've watch listed a couple of really old out of print stuff, and they tend to show up sometime later. Many thanks! I've put in an order. Not happy with the price mark up either, but I'll use this as insurance.

    Macross figures

6 + 1 Ishtar + 1 dupe Minmay (fav songstress). No complaints there!
  16. going by past precedents, it's likely most will be able to score at least one after release. Or at least an unopened 2nd hand one.
  17. Oh, don't get me started.. it's probably gonna be equally bad, or even worse when the VF-25S reissue come around... and I need to get 3!
  18. great.,, i refresh AE all day, and the 1 time I step out to make a call, I miss it... figures...
  19. If the YF-29 was 3-400 dollars, and made to order, I'm sure it wouldn't sell out as fast either
  20. Because Bandai knows Ozma would sell like hotcakes
  21. yeah, I liked the head too. Kinda like the Helldiver from Patlabor, but with antennaes/laser cannons at the side I think it definitely beats the single horned look the other YF-29s had. Even the Isamu custom..
