  1. NY still has 22 pieces left.
  2. I guess I'll try grovelling to their live chat personnel.... When I tried to cancel, they hadn't updated it yet. I then pointed it out about why it wasn't updated if they didn't allow cancellations anymore :X Maybe that's what prompted them to do so.
  3. NY has officially gone past thje price of CD JApan.. guess It's AE or more likely HLJ for me if I wanna replace the CD Japan order.
  4. since the most recent revamp it seems.. at least for me. they're no longer chill about cancellations. They didn't even bother to update their policy page.
  5. HLJ is kind of a wild card. Aside from camping, there's no way to know when they open, or be notified of when it does go up. I think a web page monitor helps, but the ones I used updated a little too frequently over every minute changes HLJ made. Maybe I'm just going about this wrongly.
  6. ahhh, glad to see I'm not alone. How did you get them to cancel your order eventually? I'm kinda stuck with an extra figma I would rather not have shipped alone, or could get cheaper elsewhere hahah
  7. CD Japan doesn't charge until it ships if you're paying via credit card though Also, just a heads up - NY seems to be disallowing cancellations since the revamp. Either that, or if you made to many cancellations, they'll not allow it anymore.
  8. ya, funny how the forum crashed instead hahaha. I was there when Amiami was live. and it was gone in a flash. Managed to snag one at Hobby Search, and at CD Japan, but might let go of the latter if i can get one at HLJ. I saw NY go live as well, and it was also gone in a flash. We'll probably see the price hike later.
  9. thanks for reminding me of this movie. I recalled there was a series of it. Some done by the US, some done by Hong Kong
  10. Would have been down for one.. if it had actually looked a lot like the Yamato one. Pity really.
  11. From observation, apart from slowing down and landing, the Gerwalk is also used primarily to hover in an atmospheric environment, something which we seldom see the Battroid do. It's probably more stable that way, and makes for a faster transition to Fighter mode when they're done.
  12. Thinking about it, the Tornado and YF-29s already have a similar cannon though. Also, didn't Kawamori mentioned that the missle bay could technically be replaced with other weaponaries, such as lasers? Would have been interesting to see that being applied. On a planet with floating rocks and islands no less Also, weren't you allowed to fly around with the Fast / Super Packs (which were technically not usable in an atmospheric environment)? All these could be simply chalked up to the planet having lower gravity (VB-6 Koenig Monsters being thrown off their feet so easily in the tutorial mode?) Anyway, going OT aside, I think we can suspend our disbelief a little when we have a series with planes that could transform on some times very questionably fragile looking joints
  13. Quick pics as promised. Did not take any in fighter mode, because there's plenty of that already. Gerwalk fans should be pleased at the angle it could go. But doing so could loosen your ankle joint. It happened with mine This made it relatively hard to get it in any poses to make it stand on 1 foot. Still, it could stand fine on its own though. Needa find a way to tighten that ankle joint... everything else is so tight. I really love the Battroid mode on this. Still my favourite design. My one other gripe aside from loosening wing joints (it's not that bad, because the mid joint and the joint that's attached to the main storage compartment are really tight) and the ankles, would be how difficult it is to get it back into fighter mode. Kinda felt like I had to force the joint in. Especially the entire wings assembly. Much harder than a DX Chogokin.
  14. With awesome songs by Yoshiki Fukuyama, it's easy to see why. I've attended a small concert with him and his Humming Bird band, and it was a real treat!
  15. I must be one of the few peeps who actually doesn't mind the missle pod. Remember when the Zentraedi's Regult had a missle pod sitting on its head? I like to see interesting designs like that. Would have been great if the missle pod could be swapped out for other armament, or if it weren't sitting on such a think piece of metal on the plane (wondering how fragile it will be)
  16. that and coupled with Arcadia's new pricing policy, I don't know if this would take off unless they did some re-design / engineering. Though that said, the Yamato one is a very good Valk already.
  17. Got my YF-19 from Big in Japan, and it came fine. Ankles became loose only after posing in Gerwalk, and the hinge on the wing itself became a tad loose (moves easily when touched, but will sit still otherwise). Rest of the Valk is great! Tight joints and improved articulation. Felt the metal extension on the arms were a tad weird, but didn't bother me much for long. I still have a 2nd in 1 HLJ's PW, but will probably leave it in fighter mode when it arrives.
  18. ^ I don't know... the VF-19 Kai was fairly easy to get. And was even discounted a couple of times towards the end of Yamato's life.
  19. not exactly, YF.. but the VF-19 was announced by Arcadia. Also I got my YF-19 early last week, but was too busy with the birth of my daughter to give it a run though. Transformed it to all 3 modes and back, and was fairly satisfied. Most of the points brought up did happen to me though, such as the loose ankles after posing it in Gerwalk. While it can still stand in either modes, it's quite disappointing that it became loose so fast. No more 1 legged Battroid poses for me I guess. The wing hinges were surprisingly tight, though the joint on the wing which lets it swing back became a little too loose (it moves too easily when touched, but will sit still otherwise). Other than these issues, the whole Valk was very satisfying. The remaining joints were so tight, and the amount of added articulation on this was great! Sorry to hear about the broken wing issue (email inbox got flooded with easily 4-500 replies from this thread). I can see why it broke though. The tip of the wings are very thin, and do feel like they could break if enough force was applied (i.e. putting the missles on the hardpoints), though I guess it could have been a QC problem or shipping problem. Kinda glad I got a 2nd one in my HLH PW, which I will keep permanently in fighter mode, or sell off if I ever got sick of it. Will post some quick pics I took while transforming later
  20. Apologies in advance if this has been posted somewhere in 1 of the threads. So... this showed up on Taghobby Would be an easy pass for me, since I'm fairly happy with the Yamato VF-19 I already own. Wonder if they will rework any part of it.
  21. finally.. I can't wait to grab these! It being a new mold doesn't help our chances though Hoping to score 2 - 3 of these. Come on, bring out the VF-25S reissue, Bandai! That way I can be finally done with this series.
  22. already own 4, so gonna resist the urge to get 1 to display naked (plus still need to spare room for the 25S and YF-30)
  23. I never realized the VF-11B were considered rare. I got mine at an okay price with the super packs. I think what they could improve is the cockpit and the cover.
  24. He's saying the transformation causes the scratch. Maybe it'll be like the VF-25s
  25. still waiting for my BiJ shipment notice. So no refunds from them on the shipping? take it out and post pics!~
