  1. I feel this one is strong with the force or wahtever itwas that the other guy from rt.com whose name i can't even remember now had.
  2. Thanks again Hurin for the pictures. Ok guys, i know this has been done over and over again and i read the posts few pages back about the rubber ring on the leg joint. The day of truth has come for me. My rubber is leaking (that sounds wrong ), but not that noticeable yet. The leg joint has become loose IE: it won't stay in position if i let go of the leg (with FPs) while holding the body with my other hand. Could the looseness be due to the rubber which isn't exactly out yet, but you could see bits of it through the hole? Ok....i tried nudging the leg abit but it won't budge. I feel VERY VERY VERY afraid of pulling it out of the socket. Guess i need abit more assurances on how to do this. Should i wiggle it out, or try to pull it out in as 90 degrees an angle as possible? *(&!)@!*!@)! pulling the leg out is #@(*)(@#* scary!! I'll take photos when I finally get it out....when i get back my gonads.
  3. I jsut got mine. No real problems except my cockpit canopy seems abit magnify-y. I have 3 other valks and they are fine but with this latest reissue of Hikkie 1S, the canopy sorta magnifies the pilot, making him look bigger than he actually is, especially from the sides....which is kinda weird.
  4. I don't think the feet angled that well on the 1/48's either. Its not that obvious. Maybe its the same for the VF-0. In any case, its minor. One thing that does bother me though is the seam line down the middle of the thigh. Don't know why they decided to join it from the front instead of the side, like the 1/48s.
  5. Woah...that's fast posting. Thanks alot Hurin. I think i'll do as you suggested and disassemble this thing when i get it. Probably ya should post this in the Repair forum too.
  6. Oh boy. I haven't got mine but feel scared already......... i still have no idea which bar you guys talk abouit though....but i'm sure i'll know once i see it.
  7. They almost look like they push in, but if that was true how do you get them out? Weren't there pictures of the VF-0 where the hands were visible in fighter mode, they don't tuck inside the arms or anything? 367854[/snapback] I think the hands push in slightly, and tuck under the backpack boosters making them almost invisible. I think the hands are fixed pose as well cause the battroid pictures show the pinky finger seperated from the rest of the fingers on the left hand. But then again its probably something like MG kinda hands.
  8. I'd say you can't go wrong with a EX-S Gundam. The details on those are awesome and just makes for an excellent display piece. Amongst my whole GFF collection, the EX-S and Deep Striker are just the best. Problem with GFF for me is, there are too many leftover parts if you put it in any single mode. At the end of the day when you have alot of GFF....you're gonna have trouble manaaging and keeping all those accesories.
  9. omg......i just orgasmed. Those do look good.
  10. Thanks for the pics, Saverobo. Stuff i can notice that people have not already said: 1.) the nose cone is missing its radio antennae. Detachable. Might be made of bendy PVC which might warp or hard plastic which might break. 2.) I not sure why you guys like the semi gloss. I prefer it if it was flat. But comparison to the hikkie next to it shows its off-white color. Pretty neat. 3.) minor nitpick, but i think the "shoulder pads" and neck plate should be the same color as the rest of the valk. But that grey is probably canon. 4.) Not sure at how well the knee would swivel with the atmospheric fast packs on. It seems to be blocking the swivel much more than the normal fast packs on 1/48. A VF-0D and SV-51 had better come out of all this! And a ghost pack even! *sells soul to yamato*
  11. Adrock Thurston is his father. Only thing we know so far was Adrock Thurston saved the world from catastrophe during the Summer of Love incident. But that's what's written in the history books. Seems there's something sinister behind the scenes that involves Renton's sis (forgot her name) , Adrock, Holland, Charles and Dewey (the dude released from incarceration). SPOILERS for the ones not up till latest episode: as someone predicted, the latest episodes hint on some sort of "key person" that has to be chosen to initiate some phenomenon of a grand scale. Sounds very EVA-ish. Holland is frustrated that he wasn't chosen but Renton was...for whatever it is.
  12. Or yamato just wants your moolah.
  13. Really? Drat! And i can't wait for a KLF.....
  14. Good stuff. But reactions are getting too weird. Like recently there was a bread which could change the past....... as if a bread that could send you to heaven wasn't enough.
  15. I read some of the new codexes. It still is very dark....and not Disney family game kinda way. Btw...I keep hearing Rogue Trader, but that's such a weird name...you play traders and barter stuff in the the universe? Kudos to Twoducks for digging that info from somewhere.....nice read. They might reproduce but a baby marine might not be born. We don't know if they are sterile. And its not the gene seed that's donated to Adeptus Mechanicus i think, but the initiates who are sent there to be trained into Techmarines. Anyway....the 2 gene seeds are the progenoid glands. From Codex Space marines: Each Space marine carries two replicating organs known as progenoid glands. They absorb genetic material from the Space Marine's other implants and store them for later removal. If the Space Marine dies, the progenoids can be extracted and used to grow fresh impants. I never really got this. These 2 gene-seeds don't seem to be important for the marine to function, so why not just remove it when you think its there long enough instead of risk it getting blown to bits or vaporised on the battlefield, if they're such important organs? And as promised, about the Black carapace: Once he has proved his valour and skill, a Scout is implanted with the Black Carapace, a subcutaneous membrane that allows his internal organs to interface directly with a suit of Space Marine power armour, making the armour a natural extension of his body. And this a list of the Space Marine Legions (not chapters) Dark Angels ***expunged*** Emperor's Children (traitor) Iron Warriors (traitor) White Scars Space Wolves Imperial Fists Night Lords (traitor) Blood Angels Iron Hands ***expunged*** World Eaters (traitor) Ultramarines Death Guard (traitor) Thousand Sons (traitor) LunaWolves (traitor) <---- Horus' legion Word Bearers (traitor) Salamanders Raven Guard Alpha Legion (traitor)
  16. I'm sure someone posted this or seen it before...but this is cool nonetheless. I think its one of Dreamwave's GIJOE x Transformers during WWII comics. credits: tfnet.
  17. Totally Spies is one of those Cartoon Network anime-inspired lame-ohs. And i've no idea what are those clapper things.
  18. Buy a 1/60 VF-0S, get one 1/48 free!
  19. You mean you HAD respect for the gundam franchise? We learn something new about Graham everyday.
  20. That's earlier than expected. ARGH!
  21. I know God Gundam and Nobel Gundam come from G Gundam....but why oh whyyyy do they need to make them transform into each other. It seems so WRONG.
  22. Awww...loose airbrake with no holes. This was probably a prototype destined for people like Graham if he still had connections with Yamato. Thanks for the photos, saveRobotech.
  23. Another step closer to this..... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...armored+gerwalk Its been awhile.
  24. oh, and this question In any case, they were either killed for treason by their traitor brethren or even if they escaped and absorbed into other chapters, they would've died of old age, since the Primarchs themselves died of old age eventually. Interesting to note though, weren't there any Chaos primarchs left since time is immaterial in the warp? Guess they all died during the Horus Heresy. I do know that Leman Russ (space wolves) and the Ultramarines primarch survived the Heresy.
  25. I am very addicted to Warhammer lore, especially the Space Marines, but never really played the game since its so uber $$$ and time consuming. I'll answer your questions to best of my knowledge. The black carapace is somewhat like a spandex suit. I will quote from the Codex space marines when i get back from work later. It serves as a intermediary between the marine and the armour, so that the Marine can move the armour as if its part of his own body. After reading some novels, you get the impression that the marines NEVER remove their power armour. Why battlesisters don't need it, well i assume they aren't as huge as the space marines and their power armour are the newer and "weaker" sort, as compared to the space marine's which are supposed to be ancient relics of the past. I think the battle sisters power armour are somewhat like space marine scout armour. Scouts don't have the black carapace yet. No battle sisters have no geneseed. They are normal women by all accounts. Can space marines father children.....no special mention on this, but with all that genetic manipulation, i wonder if they should. And with all the wars and devotion they have to the Emperor, i doubt they have the time to even think of procreating. You can give your unit all the background and story you like. But bear in mind that if you want to make it playeable, you gotta take into account all the rules in Wh40k. As Phyrox said, you can't have an Inquisitor with Inquisitor rules/stats as a chapter leader and etc. There's a book called Codex Insigniarium(sp?) or something like that. It tells you how Space Marines color their armour and what the insignias mean. Different shoulder colors differentiate the squad's company. In normal Space Marines organisation, there are about 10 companies in a chapter. Each company has its own captain, apothecary, librarian , chaplain, and about 10 squads, each consisting 10 battle brothers. If you want to be true to canon for your Blood Angels army, maybe you should see if Codex Angels of Death would be of any help. I'm not sure if that Codex is updated though. Been awhile since i been update with WH40k. Those sound like Dark Angels to me. But i never played FireWarrior. Heard it was a substandard game. Most of the WH40k games revolve around the Blood Angels or a lesser known chapter. From the 1st ed books (which i started off with) there are very rough sketches of the emperor, which looks like some skinny rotting body wearing a crown with tubes up his nose and body. So everytime i think of the emperor, i think of a rotting body in a stasis field.....well not rotting but rotted? What much we do know about the emperor: 1.) They keep him alive because his mind is what keeps all the chaos gates , safe the Eye of Terror, closed. Should the emperor be destroyed in anyway, all the gates will open and its the end of the universe. 2.) The emperor needs daily ritual sacrifice of psykers to maintain him in the Golden Throne. They usually gather those unstable psykers or criminals for the sacrifice. 3.) He's somewhere in Holy Terra. So far what i've collected about the Legion of The Damned, are mostly fanfiction created by Games Workshop authors and players. Don't think there are any books or official material that references to them. And i think this is what GW is planning for LOTD. Keep them unofficial and fan-based. A treatment fitting for the damned legion shrouded in mystery. Hope this helps somewhat. Wh40k has one of the best story writers evar. Really makes the future look bleak, where there is only war.
