  1. No. Its Elfenlied. And to think nobody watched this when I was.
  2. From manga clone army, I bring you, Nana's Everyday Life. WARNING: Cutesy depressing stuff here. EDIT: D'oh....pasted the wrong link. http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php
  3. And refresh my memory if someone could tell me what a "Nonoriri" is.
  4. But maybe it was intentional. The twins wanted Nono to be detected to draw the space monsters away. We know warp is still possible by the space aliens though since they warped from Saturn to Pluto to give chase to Nono. Not too sure if the humans can still warp or not.
  5. Hey...i notice that the black lion's front legs don't get fully concealed into its shoulders anymore. That sucks. >_<
  6. This mech is just weird.....
  7. I can't say I'm 100% sure, but i doubt the Jupiter Express aliens are Nono's Buster corps. They probably just looked similar. I just rewatched Gunbuster to refresh my memory. The center of the Milky Way was destroyed along with most of the original space monsters by creating a black hole bomb aka Buster Machine 3. In it was Jupiter, which was used as mass to feed the chain reaction of the bomb. So far, the space monsters in Top 2 seem to be more of an annoyance....a locust plague that happens every now and then, and they're called the Jupiter Express. Hmmm.... i wonder why. Did that black hole which sucked the original space monsters opened another warp for other aliens to come through? Yes they did....or at least they looked like they did. I'm quite sure the original Gunbuster is entirely mechanical, but its endoskeleton and inner parts does look sort of like a human's. The Terran Imperial Space fleet were the original government in Top 1. I assume it has been disbanded since none of their markings exist in Top 2. The Imperial Space Force's logo looks like the shape which Nono's buster corp when they are in formation, on top of Gunbuster's head, and ALSO during 23:21, Nono's usual cross shaped pupils open a crescent, forming somewhat like the Imperial/Gunbuster logo. And interesting to note, that Dix-Neuf and all the Buster machines in Top 2 are named after latin numbers, whereas the old Buster machines were named after normal numbers. Dix-Neuf is latin for 19. I didn't bother to find out the rest. But this means that Nono is no. 7 of the old generation Buster Machines, and not the same line as those used by the Topless now. I hope this answers Jvalk's question. Jvalk's original question: BM-3 was the Black Hole bomb in Top 1. I would say concerning levels of technology, we'll give it the "Lost Technology" spin ere. XD Back to chrno: We don't know what the new BUster machiens are, but like you suggested, they are probably hybrids. But yes, the VGW IS one of the original space monsters from Top 1. I have no doubts about that now. How did you know that they don't use warp anymore in Top 2? I'm not sure about that. But in Top 1, they had to use warp to avoid the enemy's detection of Sol. The space monsters won't be alerted to their presence. It was only when they came out of warp, and back into physical space that the space monsters detected their heading towards Sol. And about their disbelief on Nono's warp.....you'd need a WARP DRIVE (forgot what they called it in Top) which Nono is obviously too small to have. Usually warp drives are on capital ships. I wouldn't be surprised if they made an Evangelion parody out of Diebuster. The buster machines are already organic....hehehe....its 50% eva already. Anyway, I want to know what our resident Top no.1 fan and expert, Noriko has to say.
  8. Interesting theories, chrono. To add to your theory, I think the space monsters they have been fighting all this while weren't the buster corps nor the original space monsters from Gunbuster. They were probably another alien faction or something that were at war against the original space monsters. The buster corps were probably designed after the new faction and are quite robotic looking. (They have mono-eyes ) Not really. There was a buster machine which was pierced into pieces by space monsters and After the battle, you could see that Diex Neuf was pierced by a buncha them as well. Not to mention a whole army of them coming at Nono before she did a GBP/laser attack. I was rewatching Gunbuster for old time's sake, and found out in episode 3, there was a Min May lookalike in the girl's locker room. But more importantly, during the battle of Leaf 63, they explained that the space monsters planted eggs in stars and at the end of the episode, a space monster emerges from Leaf 63 which looks ALMOST exactly like the Variable Gravity whatchamacallit from Top2 ep4. I know Titan isn't a star but a moon, but it wasn't there to be hatched. The Top2 space monsters buried it there where it lay dormant for many years.
  9. ok....i'm quite curious how it looks like now. Is she wearing some big ass armour or something?
  10. I think you and a few people have said this a few times, but I just can't blind myself saying this isn't a sequel..or make myself believe it isn't a sequel.. Oh well...at least its entertaining. Love how the Klutz became from Zero to hero.
  11. Its small and basically a keychain. Quite gummy material. I have the EVA01 one. I wonder if a new line of SD keychains came out for the SRW Alpha 2.
  12. I suddenly have the urge to destroy swarms of uchuu seijin. Got my PS2 gunbuster game.....will fire it up soon.
  13. What does the 3rd outfit do? And you dont play asheley much anyway....
  14. GO GO NONO!! Now i'm still not sure what Buster Machines are. I wonder if the original Gunbuster will cameo.
  15. No it doesn't have any quick evade moves, nor strafing. But zombies are slow enought to be manageable. I didn't bother with the handcannon. Its TOO HARD. I unlocked all the characters though. Chicago Typewriter is rapide fire infinate magnum....kills the big giant in like...5 shots?! LOL! Anyone got the PLAGAS Laser?
  16. I agree. But I'd say if you liked Noir..... this should be better. Interesting story and concept....but total trash of events happening in the end that doesn't make sense But good resolution. Don't mind the plot holes.
  17. Makes you want a whole battalion of these things with different numbered shoulder pads eh? I am slightly annoyed that I will have alot of accesories i don't neeed after I buy the 2nd Blue Destiny. >_>
  18. I watched ep 24 yesterday. I feel really sad for Renton, Charles and Ray. They were sincerely enjoying themselves and were perfectly happy....almost unaturally happy, until they found out each other's stories. Circumstances force them to go their own ways. What would you do in Renton's shoes? Crap...i'd be confused and just go sulk myself far away while they both kill each other. Ray was crying, such a cool and strong woman too. Breaks my heart to see her cry. I think i am mixing shows up that i recalled the Nirvash to turn black. I think it was in Aquarion that it turned black. But hey.....inverted/black versions of the same mecha isn't new in Kawamori shows. Escaflowne has it, Aquarion has it, then there will be BLACK NIRVASH. And highly possible too that Eureka seems a little mentally retarded due to her past trauma of being a heartless killing machine. There's definately a relation between her and Anemone. I wonder what are they. Maybe he will shout "YAMEROOO!!!" (stop it!) The Nirvash fires up, drives by itself and stops everyone fighting. XD
  19. Can be true. But humans can ride waves too with boards. But the "wheel" they keep talking about is probably part of an LFO that gives that antigrav push? I don't think their newtypish. I thought in Gundam everyone wants a Newtype in their ranks? What with all the specially made for Newtype mobile suits around...... I'm just starting Zeta and i find it funny how one of them (the doctor) keeps asking Quattro if every other new person that joins them is a newtype. He probably did something that went against the interests of the military. And yes i think he'll be a Char-type character. He's the bad guy, but his intents are not evil. Only the Amita drive does that. But it seems every other person in Eureka 7 has a compact drive. For now, the Compact Drive seems to be a key/energy source for LFOs, a device to detect trapar levels, and bait for skyfish. Mostly, I think, its because its the Nirvash ZERO. Uber powered LFO. Then...there's the Amita Drive, which i'm not sure if it is always activated. But Eureka has said it, the Nirvash and Renton have some kinda sync relation. But also remmember the days when he was still a noob. When he would throw up while flying around. Who knows. His dad was part of the military then to fight off the aliens or whatever great cataclysm then. His sister was probably part of the project too if there was a project. But I think for added drama, the show might probably lead to this: Renton, Eureka, Renton's dad and sister are part of some Eureka Project thing. Renton was made to coincide with Eureka to activate something with the Nirvash. Renton finds out that his feelings/attraction for Eureka are genetic and predestined from birth. Maybe when they *cough* "unite" great things happen. Renton finds out that his life is a lie and has suicidal thoughts. Nirvash turns into a black mecha and starts to end the world. How's that for a storyline?
  20. Here's my pet theories: (i'll watch 24 tonight ) 1.) They're not on earth. Its some other planet. 2.) They were being attacked by invisible energy-based aliens or something. 3.1) Then there's the LFOs (Light (alien?) Finding Operation), alien or native to the planet, were discovered that could detect and kill these aliens. Renton's dad found the oldest one, Type ZERO. Activated the 7th Swell phenomenon and turned all aliens into golden fluid (the one the Vodarek priest gave Holland. LCL?). He died in the process, whereas Renton's sister "soul" was sucked into the Nirvash. ( dramatic music: DUM DUM DUMMMMM!!!) 4.) The new government deems the Vodarek cultists as alien worshippers that aim to ressurect those gold liquids into them aliens, thus goes on a global campaign to eliminate them, despite their pacifist nature. Some of them fight back and are deemed terrorists. 3.2) I think this is more likely. The "Summer Of Love" incident as they call it happens, trapar is released in the air, and throws the world in chaos. A cult known as the Vodarek hail this as a judgement from God. LFO were creatures ......that would reside in trapar rich areas (like skyfish) and when u find an LFO, it'll probably be trapar rich (i'm just talking outta my a** here. ) and thus its name. What i can't place at the moment is: What is trapar? The life force of the planet? What is a compact drive? A compacted LFO? (thus its ability to find Light/trapar?) How about the Amita Drive? Some compacted alien perhaps? I'm sure someone out there is watching the raws and is probably laughing at my theories now. In the end i'm sure it all boils down to the relationship between the characters. Its already hinted throughout the show that trapar, skyfish and even that cloud thing whatever you called it, has to do with people's feelings. Maybe Renton will become the key to the 8th Swell () that will either decide to destroy the world or get rid of its trapar and seismic instability. And anyone has any info on the PS2 game? There's precious little info about the game online other than its taking place few years after the anime, and has one key character from the anime. The rest of the cast is all new.
  21. I was. He's probably to Eureka what Dominic is to Anemone. Their "babysitter" or something. And he does like Talho, just too ego to admit it and Talho's jealous of him being so openly caring for Eureka compared to her.
  22. That's one of the ZAFT Committee members. You always see her in that round table with other ZAFT senators whenever Dullindal gives some kinda "inspiring" speech or suggesting something crazy like the Destiny plan.
  23. After watching Final Plus, I just wanna make Lacus the bad guy, in a Darth Vader kinda way. I mean, nobody chooses black as the uniform of their army and is actually good, right? Generally this was how Seed Destiny should've ended. I guess they just ran out of episodes/time to finish the finale.
  24. You should check out X-Astray then, since Kira's evil brother is one of the main characters. 356678[/snapback] Is that the Dreadnaught? The proportions to the people don't look right....
