Is this a clip from a GITS commercial or is it from Frontier....i'm not sure. I missed it

I knew the Macross Quarter can do the crap that it did in ep 7 when they decided to make it that small. Awesome! I now think that it can actually combine with another module or is part of a bigger macross ship later on.

Caught the final 5 minutes on some dodgy streaming thing of the show live.....HOLY SH*T BRICKS WAS SHAT!!! Now i know where the hell all the budget went. You're in for a ride guys..... Macross Quarter transforms and moves around like a battroid....OMFG AWESOME! VF-27 shows up and seemingly has BDI cockpit with 360 imaging. PS: Sorry tobi....it was exciting and i forgot about u....when i found the channel.

Value of life in M7 has been portrayed to be low for the entire series....seriously. There's no sense of urgency or loss when a whole buncha carriers sink and when 80% of all valk squadron combat efficiency has dropped. Besides, it is assumed everyone ejects safely before blowing up in M7.

You kidding? I thought that episode was AWESOME!! It had VF-22s. It had Max and Miria. It had Culture Shock. It had Meltrandi screaming like rabid teenage school girls. It had Exeldore blushing. Wilco Tango Foxtrot are you thinking?

Actually even 26 episodes and breaks inbetween seem to be sufficient. They're doing that now with 00 and Code Geass which i have not seen dips in animation quality, but eugimon seems to think otherwise. If they could do it in the past with older shows, i don't see why they need to reduce the episodes-per-season more. I'll leave that to your imagination. I think nobody has complaints about the 3D CG yet, except the forum sarcasm trolls. How long does it take to render 3D scenes actually? Sounds long.

Don't remember Rahxephon (which as a show i hated btw) but Lagann 04 was definately the style of that dude that also did the Aquarion dream episode. I guess he's the Utsunomiya guy u were talking about? Lagann 04 definately received tonnes of flak because of that and the original director of Gurren Lagann who was also one of the original founders of studio GAINAX had to resign due to the resulting carnage and backlash from fans. That said, Japanese forums are already complaining about Frontier. As long as Kawamori doesn't provoke angry fans and call say that ppl on 2chan smell like a**es, Kawamori gets to keep his job and everyone will be still happy (i hope) See.....anime is serious business. I will have to watch that fixed 3rd OP of Eureka, Taiyou No Mannaka He. That was horrid in the broadcast edition. StrikerS was horrible horrible and horrible. DVD fix or not....nothing can do to patch that piece of ....yeah. Anyway point is, getting things right the 1s time round is better than spending more money to "redraw" scenes for the DVD release and shouldn't be consolation that it should look good in the DVD release. If To Love Ru has to redraw anything, it would only be the nipples. Btw i am not watching To Love Ru.

I do not agree with this statement. Noein is a whole different ball game where the characters are made in that style throughout the series. The intention is for low budgets or artistic reasons or both, we won't go into it. (I personally think its both) I'm 100% sure Frontier isn't intended to have that art "style". Hell it doesn't even start with that "style" in eps 1-2.

Episode 4 had various bad parts but it wasn't the whole episode that was bad. Ep 6 was just...whole episode, so i think that's the difference. Ahhh....there's a very fine line between "style" and art quality. You raised a good example citing Noein as an example. Noein had its own art style, which was consistent since EPISODE 1. It didn't pretend to be a high budget sci-fi show. It didn't hide that its budget was lower than most anime series of that time. It was just Noien, and people appreciated it for that. Remember the pencil sketch episode? I won't consider that an art degradation but probably there due to artistic reasons (and MAYBE budgetary concerns?) Frontier is different. Deculture edition blew us away with amazing art , visuals, and music. After the initial euphoria, some of us , me included , were concerned if they could keep this quality throughout the show. Sadly, it seems our worst fears are starting to materialise. They can't. The art is DEFINATELY degrading and the frames per second for animation is also dropping. One thing that bothers me is Sheryl's hair. Her hair is losing detail on each new episode. The colours become mixed strangely as if its some kinda milkshake mixed with vomit. The official colour for her hair is "Strawberry Blonde" whatever that means, but its not the 1s time anime has such a hair colour. I refer you to Pani Poni Dash. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&...+dash&gbv=2 The hair in that show is amazing....check out the colours, nicely layered and rendered, and the animation of the hair is as if its really hair very unlike various episodes of Frontier where Sheryl's hair seems to be just a blob of vomit. I haven't mentioned this in any threads since i'm sure to rile up the emotions of sheryl fanbois. I agree those are average. Problem is , Frontier is dipping below average right now, at least to me. Even Kamen No Maid Guy and To Love Ru has consistent art. I'm less forgiving than Togo to say that Frontier is average. Remember those anime that were made for the sake of promoting the adult games like Crescent Moon and how the animators didn't bother to make the characters look consistent? That's what i'm seeing with the bad episodes of Frontier. Frontier's art and animation right now is as variable as a valkyrie. The recent Golgo 13 definately has very limited budget and this was obvious since ep 1, but at least its consistent. I think fans are more forgiving if shown a lump of coal that turns into gold, rather than a piece of gold that turns into coal then sh*t, then back to gold. I have absolutely no complaints about the 3D CG. It would seem that Frontier is indeed concentrating in those more than the character 2D art. Reality of budget constraints or not, fact is, there is something terribly wrong with the 2D. People who don't notice it either are infected by fanboy blindness, or just trolling the forums.
