  1. I think they will nail fighter by compromising on the leg length. The model of the soldier mode doesn't look as nice as their picture. Regardless, if I'll likely get them. When are the preorders opening?
  2. I don't. Someone on an earlier post said they did it. Maybe they still have the steps.

    2016 & 2017, we hardly knew ye. 7 Macross releases per year, awesome. 2018 by contrast was shite. They should be doing all the recolors as TWE (No new molds aside from heads, just paint differences): SDFM VF-1 - Max/Kakizaki/Roy/Alaska Base/Virgin Road/Angel Birds/Low-viz Roy...destroid recolors DYRL VF-1 - Max/Kakizaki/brownie/destroid recolors Delta VF-1 - Hayate/Mirage MTF VF-1 ??? M2 VF-2SS - Faerie/standard green/Moon festival red/green/blue/yellow
  4. HAHA! 110 x $16 USD = $1760. Worth it though. This is the definitive Yamato.
  5. Thank you! Sets 1-3 ordered on HLJ. (though 1&2 are backordered). Do we know how many sets there will be? Gonna have to visit HLJ every week...
  6. So disappointed with the lack of tampo on the 35th anniversary valkyrie. Same goes for the 30th.

Man...those teased Max and Milia colors are so much better than what we got...

Even better yet, static recon, ghost, and lancer toys! Those others would be done already
  9. O...............M..................F.................G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Took me a minute, nice helmet!
  11. I, for one, am all for a parts-forming front of the tank. If you leave the tank/sled front on in robot/soldier form, it will just about scrape the ground. Include a smaller one for a better robot look. Bandai does it with the wings in the HMR series, should work here also.
  12. Nice! I probably need to get a 2nd green roundfacer. I may nab 2 of these as well. Xabungle designs don't grab me at all. They're too super-robot-ish and not mecha-ish.
  13. Cool on TOS Galactica. Meh on that viper, I don't care for the Mk 7 design. One of my favorite parts of the series is early when the Mk 7's got hacked and they had to use the lovely Mk 2's.
  14. Just a personal annoyance, I always though the Toynami looks stubby in armo soldier. The ET doesn't really look very close to lineart, but i like the look. The Sentinel looks highly stylized. I don't think we will get a good, accurate Legioss (or Spartas) until Bandai or a Bandai subsidiary tries it. Perhaps Arcadia could do it closer.
  15. While not worth $300 for the casual fan, the ET are better than the CMS and Toynami toys and in soldier and diver look better than the Gakken. Gakken got closer in fighter than everthing else, simply because the legs dont stick way out in fighter. So far the ET is less fragile than the first 2, and i broke my Gakkens shoulders back in the day. I'll keep mine, i like them, for the most part they look great. They look great next to Arcadia Macross toys. My only knock on the Sentinel thus far is that they're approaching the Toynami aesthetic in soldier mode. Will see. Of all the toys I mentioned, only the Toynami are jot worth owning...too brittle.
  16. IMO, tank mode is the only Spartas toy we haven't gotten a decent version of, so the tank mode aesthetic should be paramount. I leave MOST of my Macross stuff in fighter mode. Yes, the other modes will suffer a bit. The front of the tank needs to be a parts-former. The anime one is too big, and the robot is too small. I'm fine with a swap there, otherwise it will be scraping the ground...and thats okay. We've got the swappable wings on HMR valkyries.
  17. Literally EVERY shape is wrong (gun, legs, every polygon in the arms, front of tank too small, lights too far forward, feet/legs WAY too big, proportions are OFF EVERYWHERE). They should build the wire-frame from the anime or line-art, and go from there.

They should keep mixing it up. One destroid, an N-Ger and another valkyrie in between.
  19. While I love this toy, I can't believe Bandai is trying to charge $40 USD for 12 missile packs. The Missles, TV hands, pilot and fast packs should all be in one package for around $100 USD.
  20. Got mine! Holy hell, there is NO comparison between the DX and the Yamato 1/48. The weight is VERY satisfying. The amount of molded detail and tampo printing is fantastic. The special stand is fantastic compared to the normal DX stands.
  21. It would have been pretty trivial for Matchbox to add the 3rd mode, the only thing that needs to move is the legs (and rotate the hip armor that prevents it) and movable feet. Probably $5 more in joints on the toy. I'm not talking about a fully accurate transformation either...just SOMETHING. The could have left the main tank cannon and those leg stabilizers off and it still would have been good.
