  1. I will strongly consider those, mainly for the spotlight. I use both the Hachette videos and the HobbyChannel36 on youtube for reference. Mainly when knowing whether or not to glue. Some of these pieces are 3mm x 3mm.
  2. What's the smaller Ingram? MG?
  3. The difficulties...are the TINY parts. And my getting farsighted in my 40s and not having a good modeling station. Putting the missiles on the Cosmo tiger...SO tiny and 2 dont really even have pylons. The external lights which are fed by fiber optic plastic tubes...the parts are very small and don"t even glue into the hull. Lastly, if you dont have all the screws to the tightest possible end of their travel, things wont fit properly. Also would be nice if I could read Japanese. Other than that its a fantastic and beautiful kit. It's going to be SO NICE and HEAVY when it's done. Im pretty handy overall, but suck at painting, so this kit is perfect for me.
  4. So 10% of the Hachette Yamato is released. I decided to build thev first 10 sets (I'll build 10 at at a time from here on out). This thing is a beauty, but parts of the build SUCKED. For anyone wondering about size, here are a few pics with comparisons to Bandai GX-86 2202 Yamato (no scale given).
  5. I think the Shinobu/Dark Bartley should be a given. Assuming Sentinel wants to keep making money, they should milk the original mold with the green sleeves/standard forearm missile type and the dark type with no forearm weapons, only the rifle weapon.

These are not scaled correctly iMO.
  7. Me too, but I'm always taken to the login page after adding to cart and clicking "checkout" Although, taking you to the login page could be an error behavior when the item is sold out. Edit: nope, just retested on Amiami. Logged in, clicked home, preordered a product, clicked check out...got the login page again.
  8. ...and speaking of preorder madness... Why can these Japanese sites not use cookies or otherwise cache my login session (mobile at least). Half of the problem I have with preordering these high-demand items is that they all require me to login AGAIN when trying to checkout. When coupled with slow site due to stress of thousands of users hitting the site means missed preorders!!!

I LOVE the glaug! It's my favorite toy in the HMR line. I have 2, simply because I got a 2nd one shipped off Amazon (US) for $100. As a kid I had the big Matchbox toy and the HMR version is such a fantastic modern version of the mech. HMR is the only line where a buy 2 of all the non-hero units. I need another MONSTER. And a bigger house to display it...
  10. Is it tho? Its just money, right? The DX VF-1 is SO COOL. Its the first big-scale toy I pick up a lot.
  11. Im curious how many Yamato 1/48, Yamato 1/60, Bandai 1/60 and Bandai 1/55 MISB valkyries are sitting in people's attics, basements, and storage spaces. Likely thousands if not more. Collectors tend to hoard toys they feel are collectible. Problem is that plastic toys that degrade over time are a poor long- term investment and poor currency. But I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do with their own money. Hoarding like that leads to fatigue and eventually market collapse. Bandai should simply reissue tours for which there is high demand. They really screwed up on the 31A, they lose money every day on that one.

Crazy, they were like 6K yen on mandarake like 6 months ago. Total shelf-warner's.
  13. It was a joke. Would be yet ANOTHER small-scale Patlabor figure to collect (Revoltech/CMS/Damashii). I dont have any Damashii Patlabor, actually the only Robit Spirits I own are the Macross F ones. I enjoy Patlabor quite a bit though, so ive been considering picking up a couple.
  14. How long until we get HMR Patlabor?
  15. It hit me the other day that other than SDFM, I like Zero and Plus the best. Why? Because the main characters are not children. I do like 7 and Frontier, but not as much. Also, 7 is WAY too long. Delta is just kinda meh.
  16. 1S Fokker, 1J Max, 1J Milia, 1J CF, 1A Kakizaki, 1A CF, 1A Alaska, 1A Angel Birds, 1A Cavaliers, 1D Trainer, 1D Virgin Road...only 11 SDFM repaints to go...it's gonna be a long road... I'd honestly love it if they did Kakizaki next and then Alaska base, I'd be ecstatic! I hope they stick to SDFM.
  17. They went anime accurate for the wings. I don't hate it.
  18. Hopefully Bandai punishes NY and NinNin for up-pricing it before release, I doubt it though. IMO the 1/48 DX is worth $300, especially when compared to the Arcadia YF-19 and VF-4. I don't wanna pay it, but $250 USD is better than $350...
  19. Got one (and the missile set) from NY. Dont care that I had to pay now. I'll do that for every Bandai 1/48 DX if possible so that the PO madness ends.
  20. But the DX is SO much better than Yamato 1/48...
  21. This one is a Macross fan choice though, not a general sci-fi popular choice like the 1J Hikaru. I don't think they will get the ROI they're expecting. I also think Bandai will do a 2nd preorder/more stocks released.
  22. Get to it people, start bugging SK on Twitter. Would possibly help the 3rd party resellers who bought up all the stocks and pre-paid possibly lose their butts. The interesting thing is that Max 1A is not a popular model. It defies reason that suddenly it would be this popular. The only reason this pre-order went so crazy is that people think they can get double their money on the resale market.
  23. Thus far I've missed out on early preorders for HMR Silvie and DX YF-19, but was able to secure one later before release date. Really, the only way we've been fighting the 3rd party resellers from buying up all the stocks is when new Japanese web stores open up/would be around that they didn't necessarily trust. The good thing for us is that these creeps would only trust a few stores, now they trust more. HLJ was great until it would sell out in minutes, then AmiAmi was good for a while, then CD Japan... Now we're at the end of the line. Also, they would steer clear of the pre-paid preorders, not wanting to hold the credit liability that long I suppose. But this one is near guaranteed 100% ROI.
