Speed sub...yeh those are fun to watch. Missed a line at the end, misspelled "Ptolemaios" (read "Butremos"), sounds like they missed "Linear catapult" in the scene of Kyrios launching, and they can't spell "Geez".
-
I'm not a fan of the ending theme. SEED's themes and the OP theme were more to my liking... I'll give it some time. First episodes are given more attention that the rest so I'll wait for Sunrise to slip up. But considering they they are splitting this series into 2 seasons, I'll reserve judgment until season 1 ends.

And one other note... "units". How do you know there's more than one? Where is this stated?

Bandai does not respond to international customers. They will only support domestic (Japan) customers. You can e-mail HLJ and request parts from them if necessary.

I see you found one of our many M7 threads already.... Locking.

Are you sure your bookmarks/favorites are pointing to the right location, (i.e. they should be linked to 'http://mw.com.....', not 'http://www.mw.com...')

I'll put that in the "maybe" pile.

Actually the topic is about a M0 movie possibility...but I'll humor you. 1. With most of the islanders evacuated, that leaves....4 people besides the AUN plus 2 active distress beacons? Shin never did know when to keep his head down... 2. His luck finally ran out with that hot chick at the bar...there I said it. Everybody happy now? 3. Asuka II was being shot at....you think they have time to notice? 4. see #2. 5. Did it ever occur to you that the gunpod in question may be another gunpod? And you know...DD could have refueled and rearmed during that time, considering that an un-specified amount of time occured since the ejection beacons went off to the time they went dead (including the mentioning of the fact that the beacons went dead 30-minutes prior to that scene)... 6. see #4. 7. Nora's fighters were never damaged beyond repair like Shin...She lost an arm the first time and her plane was just on fire the second time. Not like the fire couldn't be put out... 8. You answered your own question.....as for Edgar...see #6.

LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)
azrael replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeh... 1 liners don't say much... It's not really a matter of who owns what; BW/SN owns the designs, Tatsunoko/HG own the animation to Macross. If WB wants to base the designs from Macross designs, they need to talk to BW/SN. HG can only reproduce images from the TV series. They are not (or should not be) allowed to create derivative works from Macross. They have licensor rights, not creators rights to the designs. Again, they can get around the issue by using Mospeada designs as a basis. It would help to know why possible litigation is needed. What are they using that would possibly bring rumor of this? -
They are definitely ending it by season 8. ( http://www.wizarduniverse.com/television/s...e/006013645.cfm ). Most producers never know how long their shows will last. That's what happens when we have a per-season format.

Gundam model (Gunpla) talk here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=18456 The markers depend on you. Some people use a wash for panel lining, others just mark it and wipe the excess. Here's a guide: http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/21...eling+Tutorial/

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's kinda hard to say they are restarting development when there hasn't been a great deal of development. Again, it doesn't even sound like they started development (pre-pre-production) until they did the audition back in March. Satelight has been working on KISSDUM and Aquarion since late 2006 so they have been tied up on that. I doubt Kawamori wants to go to an outside studio (Kawamori is one of the heads of Satelight so why not do it in-house, so-to-speak). If they just started pre-production this year, they definitely would not have made it to October with work still being done on KISSDUM. So I think this "delay" thought is NOT even part of the equation of why we are seeing talk of a 2009 release. They've barely started and I think the schedule is just packed for the rest of this year. I doubt they will even make it to the Winter broadcast schedule because that line-up is being done now. If KISSDUM is only 26 episodes and the last episode just aired this week, then most of those people are just now switching over to their next project (even then, they are probably not entirely done since they still have to do the DVDs). Also, there's also the Aquarion movie and OAV that just came out (literally September 2007 and May 2007, respectively). So I doubt (with extreme prejudice) there is a delay. The majority of the staff have been doing other projects. -
Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Considering that they only have Kawamori taking the executive role in this, a director, character designers, a composer, a 1 script writer/screenplay writer, and 1 VA...that's not a lot of people at the moment. We still need producers, show runners, sound editors, animators, animation directors, What was seen at the concert (considering it was called a "pilot screening") was probably what they had drawn up in their spare time. The people that will probably work on this show are probably tied up with just their current work and are slowly moving to working on MF. -

His last animated work was on Aquarion Age The Movie. He's been doing other various artwork since. -

Bingo. The sketches we saw in Newtype were probably pre-production sketches. Those images would be rather more indicative if the direction that we're heading as oppose to final sketches/line art. It is definitely NOT the final artwork. In other words....It's coming. Expect more news. -
How do I scale down my pics...

I would suggest you use an image hosting service (ImageShack, Photobucket, Flickr, etc...) to avoid the whole attachment resize issue or resize for the forum-issue. -
Funny....the goatee in those images reminds me of Future Hiro.....

Ummmm, nah. We already know the relevant stuff about Roy...What more could M0 add? Shin? Like what else do you want to know? His favorite food? And how does that play into M0's story? Oh heck no. Both sides are way too big. He buries Aries and is reassigned to SDF-1???? The time between M0 and SDFM is pretty short (less than a year gap) http://macross.anime.net/story/chronology/1999/index.html They surrendered? Because it was a testbed? http://macross.anime.net/mecha/united_nati.../vf0/index.html The VF-0 can be summed up as a stop-gap fighter. Since the VF-1's engines were not ready, they could not deploy the VF-1. So the VF-0 was introduced as a proof-concept of a combat-ready VF design. The VF-1 was being mass-produced at the time. The VF-0 was not intended to be a permanent solution to the UN's VF problem, but the UN wasn't going to let it go to waste so they used it to test (and combat-test) out everything that would be in at future designs.

Guess we have to wait for a flashback now to see the older generation's powers. I wanted to see what Sulu could do....

Battlestar Galactica Discussion
azrael replied to HoveringCheesecake's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
This is very true. RDM always mentioned constraints due to the budget he gets in almost every podcast. They cut corners (literally too... ) during production to keep the show running. This is part of the reason the Pegasus set had to go to make way for the Basestar set. They can barely afford the rent on 2 sets. 3 sets would break the bank. With ad revenue and DVD sales, BSG cannot compete with the major network shows. -
Not quite...The Zentradi rebelled due to the fact that oversight over them reduced substantially during the war. Losing 85% of the republic in one year from the war reduced the influence Protoculture had on the Zentradi. It's more akin to cutting the master's chain around their necks since the master doesn't care enough anymore. When Protoculture tried to get them back, or "culture" them as you put it, it didn't work. They were doing fine on their own so why go back. If Protoculture said otherwise, they got a gun shoved down their throats.
