Weapons porn? Yes. "Scientific testing" geared towards flashy (and sometimes questionable) results? Certainly. But still fun. Yup, I enjoy Deadliest Warrior too. Spartan vs. Ninja was my fav thus far. That really would be a kick ass fight.

I could get into that. Hell, that'd need to be live-action!

"probably"? So in other words, he probably didn't even give a glance to the source material, i.e. the original movie--or the greek/roman myths, for that matter. Same can probably be said of the bums that made this alleged steaming pile of poo. -

The official HP rating for the V6 Mustang is definitely a bit of oneupmanship on the part of Ford; that's 5 more than the V6 Camaro's official rating, isn't it? It can only be good for the consumer in the long run. These "new pony car wars" will result in better and better cars coming to market for buyers to choose from. How receptive to forced-induction will this new production V6 be, I wonder? -

Can't view the trailer from here at work... but that list of character names makes it sound like this will be what SHOULD have been the GI Joe movie. LOL, Hale Ceasar -
Wow, that looks like something right out of Gundam: UC.

I guess they're making a pretty bold visual statement with this Clash reboot--making Pegasus a black stallion [among other changes]. Sort of like they're saying this will be the antithesis of the '81 original, eh? What's with the costumes though? WTF is that goofy, shiny-fake-plastic-looking-armor sh*t they've got Liam Neeson in supposed to be, eh? You, sir are no Laurence Olivier!

Hmm, impressive numbers indeed. It's not hard to look at, either. I think perhaps the car's greatest handicap, the thing that holds it back so to speak, is its name though. Koenigsegg just doesn't roll off the tongue well. And any name with "egg" in it doesn't exactly inspire awe and admiration, eh? -

But don't forget: scientists had already discovered evidence of the existence of giant aliens while exploring the remains of the Macross post-crash on Ataria Island. The Destroids--like the VF's--were designed for potential combat against a foe roughly 14m tall; not necessarily against "regular" sized humanoids. What caliber are the mg's and grenades listed in the specs for Tomahawk? They're pretty well oversized, compared to "normal" weapons, aren't they? I can't remember.

Keeping a car's mass down as much as reasonably possible is definitely a worthy aim. But I just think the "Colin Chapman" standard for design is somewhat overrated. It shouldn't take precedence over everything else. "Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy." True, he's credited with innovations like introducing monocoque bodies, positive aerodynamic downforce, and tube-frame construction. But there's no telling how many poor, brave souls met early deaths at the wheel of a racing car that was just too flimsy to make sense, all for the sake of saving weight--with protection for the driver a distant afterthought. Same can be said of road cars. It's why I have the utmost respect for guys like Andretti, Fittipaldi, Stewart and Gurney, who did it in earnest during the 60's and 70's. I've seen bare Can-Am and F1 chassis from that era, the construction and layout methods of the designs. Those guys had balls to do that for a living. -

The rear looks a bit Aston Martin-derived, but it's still rather sexy. Not sure I like all the ducts and hard-creases in the body lines, but it does look better than the SLS AMG. Very hot. -
Oh, but have you swung the door SO wide open for any number of crude jokes referencing small children. I'm not even gonna go there...

Nightmare at Russo & Steel Auction: http://www.azfamily.com/video/featured-vid...e-82364787.html WHOA-HO-HOA, NELLIE!! I imagine there was a great deal of lamentation and gnashing of teeth amongst the owners. Real-time reaction cameras probably would have shown insurance adjusters everywhere passing out where they stand... 2 words: Farmer's Almanac... -
Oh, that's. Just. AW. FUL!!!!! somebody get a dung cart to throw the film reel into! When and where did these dumb-fu*ks lose sight of the basic premise that the Predators are supposed to be mean, imposing, BIG sum-bitches? In the scene where the Predator faces off with Dutch in the swamp, them ain't special-fx in use, or stilts he's standing on--Kevin Peter Hall really DID tower over Arnold like that. Arnold's 6'2"; the late Hall was 7'2". But oh yeah--the perv in me would probably wanna have a go at a female Predator. Oh, who am I kidding? We all know Agent ONE is the only one of us here mighty enough to successfully bed a female Predator--and live to tell the tale.

Funny, considering that Klaus Arning designed an IRS system for the Mustang over 45 years ago, for the original platform. Apparently it's readily adaptable to the newer '05-'09 Mustangs, as there's a company that sells this same "Arning IRS" system for both original and current-model cars. But at $6000+, it's a helluvan expensive upgrade. But one can't help but wonder if Ford had put it into mass production, would it have brought the costs down over time? or driven it into a higher price-bracket and out of reach of the sporty-youth market that made the original cars so successful? Every time I'm behind an Explorer in traffic, I look under the rear bumper and think: for that, you can justify the expense and outlay for designing and producing an IRS system; but for your so-called performance oriented model [Mustang], you won't do it "for economic reasons"? How bass ackwards are you? Going to a global platform could very well be a colossal blunder on Ford's part though. One of the Mustang's greatest strengths has been its humble origins, i.e. being a design that's based on an economy car platform [originally: Falcon], but also offering nearly limitless options to owners in the way of customizing and improving performance, handling and esthetics. -

"The 5.0L engine has been supercharged with a goal of over 500 HP." Seems a bit contradictory that they'd build a car with HP/Performance numbers that approach/rival those of the GT500KR? Let's just hope the cost of replacement parts don't rival those of the KR... -

True, true. I'll be the first to acknowledge my hypocrisy. I enjoyed lots and lots of B-movies when I was younger; sci-fi, action, horror flicks that were pretty cheesy and pointless. Still do, for the most part. Always on the lookout for that next "worst movie ever." Love the reviews and random thoughts at badmovies.org
