  1. I have mixed feelings about this, but maybe that will change after I see it in the OVA. Something about the armor just looks too "organic" to me. But that is just my opinion. Still, it will be nice to see a full armored VF-0 in action!
  2. I can't resist temptation! Count me as very interested! Melissa
  3. An Angel Birds VF-1A of course! I'd kill for one in any scale, but 1/48 would be especially nice! Guess I am going to have to get a customizer to make one for me with one of my extra VF-1A's. ...Of course that is assuming you are talking about limited 1/48 scale VF-1's. If not, then I'd love to see a VF-4!! Melissa
  4. Yeah, what he said..we want it now with no excuses! After all, it isn't as if Graham has a job, a wife, or a life outside of Macross fandom! So obviously he must have plenty of time to write reviews to please whiny fanboys! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  5. Oooh...Look! It's the Fisher Price "My First Devourer Of Worlds!" <_< How sucktacular!
  6. Yes, at one time it did! I wouldn't mind seeing an OT forum again but I really do NOT think it is going to happen. Especially since Shawn has already made it clear that he doesn't want one. So, A-tess is right...Been there, discussed that! I can live without it personally...especially since we now have a forum dedicated solely to models!!
  7. Eh? I thought that was the whole point of winning the contest... Poor Toonz!
  8. Nice work! I'd love to know exactly what type of paint and what color green was used. Guess I am going to have to find time to register on Tam's forums and ask the customizer personally. He really did do an incredible job.
  9. Yup, I remember that one. It was done using a 1/60 Yamato and Hasegawa super armor (pre-Super VF-1J) by our now missing "Rick the Hunter". I know it was for sale at one point. I wonder who wound up with it... I wish I had bought it while I had the chance.. It was very nice and even fooled a couple of folks when he posted pics of it for the first time! Anybody out there got any pics of it?
  10. Ah, don't feel bad about that. When I got my first 1/48, I actually put the stickers for the raised air intakes on the intakes themselves...Instead of where they should be (which is on the "roof" of the intake shaft to simulate open and folded back intakes) And I wish I had pics of the 1/60 VF-1A that my sister-in-law attempted to transform without removing the legs! Not pretty, was that one!
  11. Check out Tamim's store (Twin Moons) for some of the models here: Macross Models For Sale The M7 VF-11C, VF-11MAXL, and VF-17S kits are on the second page. Great prices and Tamim is a nice guy to deal with. Hope this helps! Good luck! Melissa
  12. Skull Leader and David Hingten would you mind please sharing pics of your VF-11MAXL Fighter and Battroid kits? Just about to start on that little 2 pack. I picked it up from TwinMoons for really cheap so any pics would be big a very big help. BTW, for those interested..Tamim over at Twinmoons has several of these and the other re-issued Bandai kits for sale at a great price. So, get them while you can! BTW, any advice you guys want to share on the little MAXL kits while you are at it? Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Melissa
  13. QUOTE=MrDisco,Sep 14 2003, 08:28 PM] well thank goodness its a subpar TF coming in book format. if it were a dinobot i'ld be seriously hard pressed to ignore it. as it is its really tough skipping out on Soundwave Even though I probably should, Soundwave is one re-issue that I just can't bear to skip! Luckily(?) for me, the next two I can very much do without! <_< Found some more info. According to tformers.com and Dave's Anime World, both will be priced @MSRP of $35.00 : Volume 11: The Mini-Car Set (just found out which ones-Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Brawn, Gears, Huffer, and Windcharger) and Volume 12: Astrotrain. Of course, not even Takara has confirmed this. But these places are usually right. I'm just hoping this is one time they aren't ...but....
  14. Told you David would know! Thanks for the info! BTW, are there any really good 1/48 F-14B (or even D) kits that you can recommend? I'm not a stickler for perfection so I will even settle for damn close! I thought the Monogram 1/48 F-14 had raised panel lines so I didn't get that one...Am I wrong about that? Help! Melissa
  15. FYI, just thought I would add this here instead of making a new topic. According to quite a few websites (TFW2005, tformers, and Dave's Anime World to name a few) the next two Takara "book-style" re-issues have been announced. And they are: Astrotrain and Autobot Mini-Bot Collection (no, I don't know which mini-bots are included) . Not really excited about these two. I'd much rather see the dinobots re-issued. Ah well, still better than any of that crap from Energon though. Melissa
  16. Eh? God, I seriously hope not! I am going to have enough trouble finding room to put the 1/60 scale Monster and Q-Rau. If they get any bigger, I'd have to build an addition to my house just for the toys.
  17. I know the Hase model is an F-14A, but I am pretty sure Shin's plane in MO is an F-14D. Can someone clear this up? ...paging David Hingten... ...Edit to add: Avoid the Hasegawa M0 F-14! It is an awful kit that doesn't even have recessed panel lines. Like OCootaO said, it is just an old Hase kit with a new decal sheet. So, unless you want to pay that much for decals or you have the time to sand off and rescribe all those raised panel lines...forget this Hase kit! Just a word of advice.
  18. Color me cynical, but I don't really expect to see the GBP armor in 1/60 scale. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it in that scale! But then again, I have been wanting the fp upgrade parts for over a year now and.... I would really love to see the line finished... I'm just afraid it has been largely abandoned for the 1/48's. I will admit that the design and qc problems on the VE-1 have helped to form that opinion. <_< Here is hoping that Yamato will prove me wrong. And it would be nice to have a 1/60 GBP to go along with the monster and the Q-Rau. Of course, I would also love a 1/48 scale GBP! mmm!
  19. Where on the missiles? And why BUD? I like Fosters! Because you didn't see Hikaru shooting any Fosters missles at Boldoza! I think the cola and bud stickers were a nice touch and a cute little nod to the easter egg in DYRL? I keep wanting to put the stickers on my fast packs...But, I think I will wait until someone cough*Devin*cough makes repro decals for the fp's.
  20. Wow, that is terrific! Chunky monkey indeed! Just goes to show you that the 1/55's may have been around for a while..but with someone who has time and skill to modify them, they can still look terrific! Color me very impressed! Melissa
  21. Don't forget about the Musasiya 1/72 VF-2SS resin kit! It isn't available now, but last year I bought a re-cast of the kit (fighter mode only..but with or without armor) from Hobbyfan at a really good price. I know a couple of other places also offered re-casts of this kit. Just not sure where to send you. It is a very nice kit...not transformable but still very nice. I'd love to get my hands on another one! Melissa Edit to add: I don't expect we are likely to see a re-cast of the kit that allows you to build a perfect transformation Hasegawa VF-1. The main reason being the HUGE number of parts in the kit. Of course, I wouldn't mind being wrong about that!
  22. Nice little kits. Check out Sam's thread for the ones he has built: Q-Raus. Good luck! And please share pics when you finish it. And also if you like this kit, remember that MW members 007-VF1 and mslz22 have a re-cast of the 1/72 scale Club M Q-Rau for sale. A lot bigger so you can add a lot more detail! Hope this helps. Melissa
  23. You sure it was the decals from this Minmay Guard Battroid and not the regular Minmay Guard decal sheet from Hasegawa? Confused yet? Seriously though, they are slightly different. Sigh...yes, they will always find a way to get my money!
  24. Yep, has been discussed here: Minmei Guard Battroid. Nice kit though...can't wait to get it! And..Thanks anyway!
  25. He's around! Same screen name and all. (Rohby) You can PM him if you need to ask a question. He probably stays so busy doing his wonderful re-casts that he does not have time to surf a lot. But he is still around...Luckily for us! Hope this helps! Melissa
