  1. I had never even heard of D-Stance until now and googled it to find the other modes. I think it looks pretty good in all three, definitely nicer then yamato's yf-21 1/72 IMO.
  2. Wing tip to wing tip vs nose to toe? Let me know and I will grab my tape.
  3. Damn it all to hell...I bought both and a Nora as well. I love my Ivanov so much (despite an exploded thigh now repaired) and I have a suspicion that Yamato will never release the SV-51 again so I picked up a cheap Nora as well. uh...I need to work some overtime...
  4. This going nowhere. Please delete/ lock/ whatever.
  5. IF the VF-0 had to square off against the VF-1 in atmosphere (obviously), how badly would the VF-0 lose? Expected kill ratios? What about in an imaginary world where VF-1 squadrons were sent to clean up remaining SV-51 planes, just how badly would the SV-51 take a beating? Again, expected kill ratio? I am thinking 4:1 in both cases assuming the VF-0 and SV-51 are evenly matched, though admittedly I base my ratio on nothing I don't even want to speculate how much a YF-19 or 21 would destroy them if even a VF-11 can't see or catch them...
  6. Maybe they will design VF's that will transform into panties, and the main character can spend the series trying to get a girl with moveable hair to put him on...yeah, thats good anime!
  7. I really wanted to love my armoured VF-25s...I really really did. I only had one or two Yammies when I first got it so I wouldn't even be considered a snob. While the base toy was ok, The armoured parts where too big of a hassle. Actually all it would have had to do for me to forgive it was to stand up under its own weight with the parts on (specifically the boosters). If they did a 2.0 VF-25S (knee swivel, fixed neck and tightened joints, collapseable sheild, fixed landing gear) I would buy the base figure again. It was so close to being pretty good.
  8. I think I am in for a VF-0 and want to know whether to get the S or the A? They are both reissues I gather. The A is not a Shin type right? Does the shin type really have any more differences other then a red helmet and white lines on the plane? Any other Tampo as compared to the regular vf-0a? What looks more imposing on the shelf? They A appeals to me because it is cheaper at the moment, but perhaps the S has charms that I need to know about? please help me! thanks
  9. This thread needs photos.....
  10. I dunno, the whole cock pit area including transformation is pretty darn similar. Meh, tomato-tomatoes
  11. I have been cursed with a YF-19 problem. The previous two times I have purchased the sales have fallen through. Perhaps a blessing in disguise because this time is the cheapest yet with the new HLJ sale! here's to hoping I have a new package renewal YF-19 soon!
  12. I was watching "Bye Bye Mars" yesterday and thinking it would be neat to see Lt. Riber's story and the Mars base being wiped out by Anti-Un
  13. +1 On a side note I like to pretend the Macross Frontier characters go to a specialized Tech college, not a high school, and this enhances their Space warfare proficiency.
  14. With all the advances in micro missles, etc, seen in Mac PLUS, why does the VF-25F not have any internal missles bays? Is this not a step backwards, at least to the level of the VF-11B? Just something that sorta bugged me.
  15. Head sculpt is 1A right?
  16. Hey all. My new VT-1 1/60 has a hazey canopy. I thought I had read that someone had a fix for this, does anyone remember it off hand? thanks
  17. While I agree familiarity with SDF is important for a complete enjoyment of DYRL?, I feel that it has its own charms above the visuals. 1)The visuals, not just detail, but style, in my opinion are outstanding and unlike the Mac F movie and Mac Plus movie, it did not reuse animation in its re-telling, bonus points there. Sure Macross Frontier and ZERO are pretty, but DYRL?, much like Mac Plus, is hand drawn, lending its own unique sense of style that the newer CG productions cannot touch, and when they try it looks a little funny (Reactive Armour Roy scene in Zero anyone?) DYRL? is visually the first or second best hand drawn Macross (depending on your feelings about PLUS). 2)I felt that DYRL? had a more adult feel to it, and a more serious tone then SDF. Some people don't like that; however, I do and Macross Plus and ZERO also have this in common. Roy's death, the desolate earth, Minmei's rescue scene and the last battle all had a more dramatic, epic feeling to it then SDF. Earth was destroyed in Ep 27 SDF during the battle, where in DYRL? it was already gone, making it more dramatic as we really understand that the SDF-1 is really the last of humankind, whereas during Love Drifts Away, we aren't quite sure the entire extent of the earths destruction (later finding out it was mostly complete). 3)People complain about poor/little development of secondary characters, but I feel that they did not really deviate from SDF and so if you had watched SDF, the characterization of the secondaries while it would be nice, was not needed. Like I said above, DYRL? is better enjoyed with a familiarization with the SDF characters. Anyway, to each there own, but I do think DYRL? is fantastic and it makes me sad that people don't like it but LOVE the new Frontier movie.
  18. You guys made me paranoid so I checked today...No cracks, happy to report
  19. Hey now, what kind of an attitude is that? Well if Seto doesn't know for sure, Kawamori probably doesn't, in which case in my mind they are now fuel pods
