    My Shin ended up being the tightest of all my Mac 0 valks (i have them all, the re-issued versions) It was quite solid for a VF-0. I guess I got lucky

    Wow, I was so excited, and now I am not excited at all. Looks like a model (in terms of quality, IE "cheap"), proportions look not good. Battroid is too gangly, fighter isn't much sleeker then the bandai 1/65. And holy crap, more expensive then my SDF 1???????? Good time to get out of macross toys I guess...until the new YF-19 comes out!!!!!!

    Just because plastic is made from hydrocarbons and thus technically organic, doesn't mean it biodegrades. If it does, it is doing it at a rate that will see all of us long in our graves first. Why do you think recycling is such a big deal?

    First, the VF-25 has tons of robo kibble, it is just all on the back. Second, while the VF-19 has shorter wings then the YF-19, the effect can make it look LESS sleak because when they fold up the do not create a smooth surface along the back edge of the wing to the hip gun, giving it a jagged, uneven look. I agree with others how this design is awesome because it looks nothing like a plane when transformed, even with the hip "guns". No other VF that I can think of(other then maybe the VB-6, but that is not exactly sleak) has a battroid so removed from the fighter mode.

    IMO Basara has more in common with Alto. They are both moody and don't know what to do with women that throw themselves at you. I mean, if I was Basara I would have been all over Mylene, Mylene's sister, their manager, Rex and flower girl. I am probably forgetting a few too. Who does he end up going for? The protoculture created, demon possessed, bio construct. Ugh

    You could say the same thing about the Macross Cannon Gunships. They are just one part of Battle 7 or Battle Frontier and all they do is shoot stuff (awesomely). Macross wouldn't be as good without them. Admittedly, part of what makes them so awesome is that they are rarely used (much like the Monster) so I get to enjoy the anticipation. I still get chills when I see the Monster coming on to the aircraft carrier deck in Macross Zero. I don't think anyone called that. To put us back on topic though, I want the next Macross production (be it OVA or series) to have lots of destroids, Macross cannons, Itano Circus and Dakka dakka in general. I hope we hear something soon. I hope Yoko Kanno is involved too. I love the Plus soundtrack, but Frontier is probably her strongest Macross work to date IMO.

    I don't mind that kind of fan-service. Besides, the Monster is considered a destroid and it consistently does more then get blown up. I agree that it would be crazy to have a Macross show where the main character didn't fly a Valk though.

    I am glad it worked. Mine slides a bit in figther mode too but is mainly solid. It also likes to pull off my left tailfin.

    To be fair , Max busting it up was pretty cool in Macross the First. Perhaps not a whole squad, but a destroid pilot could be a main character, that would be neat.

    I mentioned this in my quick review of the boosters. DO NOT try and remove the back clip first. Use the "wings" of the connector piece to lever out the front tabs. Don't try and mount the stand adapter if you don't want scratches because I have no idea how to get that one off cleanly.
