  1. Do you know what I did for that? I bought a G1 Optimus Prime roller on eBay for 5 bucks, cut off the prongs on the end, painted it green, inserted a Macross logo on the hood and some military numbers and bam! Roy Fokker's jeep! Curious to see what >EXO< has in store for us later this year. Those 1/60 figures look fantastic. If you make another round of them, I'd be interested.
  2. Woa! That would be one huge toy. I think I'd have to lose my dining room table to make it fit in my house.
  3. It's not my favorite, but it's up there. Seriously, it has to be the most distinct mecha in all of Macross. It just looks mean.
  4. When you do this custom, are you going to have your 17 transform the same way as the 171? That will be very hard to pull off. But I bet it's going to ROCK! Can't wait to see what you do with this! And thanks for the heads up with Macross Con. Don't know if it will turn out that we go at the same time, but I am secretly planting hints with the wife to make it work out that way! Ha ha!
  5. I don't remember seeing the VF-171. Was it in Frontier? It's pretty cool looking. Off subject, has any of you ever gone to the Macross Con before? What are your honest opinions? My wife and I are talking about going back to California to visit. If the timing is right...But living in Florida now...Cali's a long way away. Back on subject... Good luck with the custom! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
  6. I didn't know that. I'm watching the TV show now, and actually for the first time I'm seeing those differences. Strange how I never noticed them before. Eugimon, I *LOVE* the new Destroids by Yamato. I was hesitant to buy them because I had the 1/72 scale ExoSquad versions. I can't even look at those any more. The Yamato Tomahawk is one of the coolest toys I've ever owned...and it doesn't even transform! If they did a new Queadluun-Rau like that, man, I'd try to get a few of them!
  7. DAMN IT! I'm broke and I want BOTH of those 19's. CLIENTS: HURRY UP AND PAY YOUR DAMN BILLS! Sweet birds. Cannot wait to add them to the collection!
  8. I remember I got an extra VF-1J (for my 1:48's) for the GBP armor. I also brought an extra VF-1S so I could pilot swap them, and have a TV RICK HUNTER. Yes, Rick Hunter. I grew up with Robotech, and it introduced me to the world of anime. At that time, it was called Japanamation. Then it changed to Manga. Now it's Anime. Wow. Off subject, Davis. Point is, I *LOVE* both my Valks, even though the only difference is the pilot. I don't see the big deal if someone wants a TV Hikaru (I switched back to Macross for you all) and a DYRL Roy. I have a small army of VF-1 Valkryies. Each of them are identical to the other. The only thing that separates them is a different paint scheme or head (1A, 1J, 1S). So, why do I have so many of them? Well, I love my Valkyries. And, it's fun having options when you display them. If you have more than one Valk, you can display one in a fighter mode, and have the battroid behind it. Or, have the DYRL Valks on one shelf, and the TV on the other. Or, have them organized by squadron... It doesn't matter. Eugimon is right. It's his hobby. A hobby that MOST of here on this forum share. If you don't like it, just keep the negativity to yourself. It's one thing to express a bad opinion about an inadimate object, but it's another to indirectly attack another person for what is ultimately no reason. And, considering you collect toys as well, probably fair to say hypocritical. Opinions are great, and we all have them, but being negative for the sake of it is destructive and even vindictive. Long live Robotech. I mean, Macross. Ha ha!
  9. Send us some pics when you're done!
  10. Those 1/60's sure are sexy. I'm just scared about the QC.
  11. That's true. But it still sucks!
  12. Even at 1/60, it's about the size of my 1/48's. It's a big toy. I hope Yamato re-issues it in the TV paint scheme. Doubt it since the DYRL's didn't sell so well...
  13. Those color schemes are neat. Wonder if that was the inspiration for the LV2?
  14. You should be proud of yourself. This is one fantastic piece. Great job.
  15. That 19 is just AWESOME. Can't wait to see how the 51 turns out.
  16. Hey! Thanks for putting that list together. Too bad about the 2 seaters. As a 1/48 collector, I don't think I'll ever get to see one in that scale. In fact, from what my peeps have told me, that line is DEAD. (Although I have been hearing that for years). Those 1/60 v2's are sexy though. Each mode is a masterpiece, and I really, really love the hands! That may not sound like something to love, but when you collect the 1/48's, you get REALLY tired of their damn chicken fingers. Ha ha! I only have a few more 1/48's to go before I complete my collection (with all the customs). After that, I know I'll take that 1/60 plunge. I just hope they play nice with my 1/48's. No fighting!
  17. Sure does. This is going to be THE mold of the 19 to own.
  18. Hey! Let me know what you think of that AT-AT! When I put mine together, my wife smiled and said, "Where in the HELL is THAT going to go?" It's HUGE. My fearless min-pin is actually afraid of it! It's a cool toy. I can't boycott Yamato. Macross (and Mospeada) is my drug man, and I am always needing a fix. They're one of the only two places who are dealin'.
  19. You just got me to spend 70 bucks and order one! Ha ha! No, actually, I am hoping I love it. I have an army of 1/100 Regults so I am hoping I love this line. Thanks for the input!
  20. That's what I'm talking about. Those fast packs are intimidating!
  21. I really found your reply humorous. Ha ha!
