I remember I got an extra VF-1J (for my 1:48's) for the GBP armor. I also brought an extra VF-1S so I could pilot swap them, and have a TV RICK HUNTER. Yes, Rick Hunter. I grew up with Robotech, and it introduced me to the world of anime. At that time, it was called Japanamation. Then it changed to Manga. Now it's Anime. Wow. Off subject, Davis.
Point is, I *LOVE* both my Valks, even though the only difference is the pilot. I don't see the big deal if someone wants a TV Hikaru (I switched back to Macross for you all) and a DYRL Roy.
I have a small army of VF-1 Valkryies. Each of them are identical to the other. The only thing that separates them is a different paint scheme or head (1A, 1J, 1S). So, why do I have so many of them? Well, I love my Valkyries. And, it's fun having options when you display them. If you have more than one Valk, you can display one in a fighter mode, and have the battroid behind it. Or, have the DYRL Valks on one shelf, and the TV on the other. Or, have them organized by squadron...
It doesn't matter.
Eugimon is right. It's his hobby. A hobby that MOST of here on this forum share. If you don't like it, just keep the negativity to yourself. It's one thing to express a bad opinion about an inadimate object, but it's another to indirectly attack another person for what is ultimately no reason. And, considering you collect toys as well, probably fair to say hypocritical. Opinions are great, and we all have them, but being negative for the sake of it is destructive and even vindictive.
Long live Robotech. I mean, Macross. Ha ha!
