  1. Hey guys, Just in case we can't find a reproduction solution, we have this alternative: You guys can actually buy the model kits yourselves and rip the decal sheet. Go to Great models and look up 1/48 models and decal sheets. Granted, the models are 35-45 shipped just for a decal sheet and the size of the F-14 is bigger than a Valkyrie. Ideally, we would have them scaled down for exact fit. Or I can buy the Italeri kit for ~ 11 USD but shipping is like 10 USD. If you guys just want the decal sheet, I could send that out cheap and ditch the model. The store is just blowing them out like crazy. I need to buy 2 at a time for that price. I will see if I can track down more of those Hasegawa kits but those models are 20-30 USD over here and the new re-issues are not out here yet. Again, the best solution is to take both decal sheets, scan the squadron markings, clean them up, resize and add the UN Marines, Navy, Spacy and Macross kite shields for a near real world Macross squadron sheet.
  2. OT but... VF-1D conversion anyone? Both kits are 1/48. Top kit is Italeri (cheap kit but nice for beginners). Bottom kit is Hasegawa. Both are F-14as... Note the differences in scaling. Top kit would work pretty good. Hasegawa should be way more accurate though.
  3. Hasegawa Painting Guide to help you guys out:
  4. Here is the decal sheet indigo used, I think. I will also send this if we can merge the two decal sheets and make one combined copy. Otherwise, it might be up for straight sale since I will probably do a Macross Zero fighter from this kit or trade for some 1/48 scale Macross Zero decals...
  5. Decals - I will offer to send this to DEVIN or Takatoys if they would scan, cleanup, resize and send me a copy for my Valkyries and consider producing these for fellow MWers. Sheet has at least 3 squadrons worth of decals in there.
  6. You mean this: Box says copyright 1989!!!
  7. Good job! These should be included in every DRYL Valk from the factory.
  8. Incredible Minmay Guard! Where are the FPs?
  9. Me too... But it make it similar to the gummy material like Yamato.
  10. Depending on price, both Destroid and 1/72 scale Variable VF-4G! I do not want the 1/100 scale version and yes, please clean it up to have perfect versions for us. Devin, can you make some decals for us? and most importantly of all: Thank You Mr. Anonymous!
  11. If your a Macross fan, how come your site's title is Robotech? Was Robotech also aired in Japanese television or did you specifically like the Americanized version of Macross? It was just interesting to see that. I almost got into a debate with Toy-Wave over which came first, Macross or Robotech. And both of us now live in HK. hehe
  12. I think you already summed it up. If it was remotely ready to be released, we may have heard something by now. It is probably not ready. I rather wait than have a bad quality product put out. Yamato is probably re-working it in light of new manufacturering techniques, better toys from competition and to appease the fans. In the meantime, just enjoy other offerings.

Check the TOY DEALER SECTION if you want this set. Toy-Wave and Noel has them. CHEAP too.
  14. OMG I'll take two for that price! Ah shoot, I just paid rent!

    Q-Rau is 1/60

Never thought it really mattered but ... ahem... BTW: Box is up for sale to the highest bidder! Get an ORIGINAL Yamato 4 piece Millia Q-Rau box today!
  16. If you think of the Orgroid parts as GBP Armor, then it should be fine. A little kit bashing and you would have a cool custom.
  17. Is this a kit for Yamato's VF-11B? Cuz if it is, I'm picking one up RIGHT NOW and will wait for you to release that! OMG, that is schweeet! I've had a chance to play with the YF-19a, YF-21 and VF-11B and I have to agree with Graham. I love Mac+ but wish the toys were at least the same quality as the 1/60 Valkyries. Granted those were Yamato's first foray into Macross but I hope Yamato would ditch the old sculpts and modernize the design process in CAD. If you compare the new VF-0S sculpts to those old Mac+ toys, and knowing both lines would cost approximately the same price NEW, you definately are getting less for your money unless you're hard core for M+ toys.
  18. Being the in PC gaming field, we forget about our dice, miniature and board gaming cousins often. Thanks for the clarification.
  19. Some if not all the Japanese Battletech designs are by Studio Nue / Kawamori. His destinctive style is easily recognisable. Plus, you can see the word 'Nue' and IIRC Kawamori's signature scrawled next to many of the designs. Graham Wow! That sure looks a lot BETTER than FASA's old work! It is Kawamori's work. You learn something new everyday.
  20. Thanks for the update Graham. I love the YF-19 way more than the VF variants. Sharon Apple is that black box in the 2nd to last row of pictures, next to the red and blue pairs of sound boosted VF-19s.
  21. Did you see the YF-19 on the bottom? Is that a 1/48 scale? Looks incredible!
  22. You can also hitup the toy dealers here for complete sets too. Last time I checked, Noel (Blackaces) and Toy-Wave had complete sets for close to the same price as a boxed set. Check the dealer section.
  23. Battletech is trademarked and own by FASA and now Microsoft who purchased them lock stock and barrel. I don't think Kawamori ever did any original design work for them. Perhaps through a recent contract? I used to work in the gaming field so I know my first line is correct.
