  1. that diorama is so awesome. i didn't even remember what his room looked like but when i saw it i was like....yup something like that. seen other pics of that setup somewhere on social media.
  2. i'm surprised you got all the responses you did. they can be really slow to respond to anything sometimes. they are super awesome and fast/reliable when there are no issues though.
  3. Vf-1 by a good margin although i love the Vf-0, YF-19, VF-11B, and VF-25 probably above all the other macross mechs. the glaug is probably my favorite non valk. hoping bandai does a VF-11B at some point..i mean they did the VF-19....can't imagine the VF-11B and YF-21 would be far behind...but its been a while. oh well. If we are getting specific...as far as absolute favorite..it used to be the Vf-1S Roy fokker deco. Gotta say I like the Vf-1D or VF-1J hikaru deco as much or more now.
  4. nice photos redwolf. is mp-44 really THAT glossy? also his white thighs look almost silverish there!
  5. seriously, i've already got one but would get another for $45. its not perfect at all but its very nice and for $45 ... a steal.
  6. those do look pretty nice... honestly if it were an arcadia mold done up in dark colors like that i'd grab it. I have the fokker scheme KC VF-1S and although its got a nice deco and finish, i just can't help feeling its an "also ran". if i didn't have any valks and was starting today i think i might be way more into it....exepically if they had matchign fast packs in those colors.
  7. well women do have wider hips (for child bearing!) than men proportionally. isn't that where the term broads came from?
  8. thanks for the explanation...and now its out of stock at target online...oh well. hope it comes back in stock at some point (its a target exclusive right?)
  9. the seeker looks like an updated, upsized classics seeker mold. they gave it angle rockers but not waist swivel. not a fan with what they did with teh tailplanes and fins though...the big blue onse should point backwards like the g1 toy and the masterpiece. the smaller ones i actually prefer them flat and out ot side liek g1 toy but dont' object to eh masterpeice handling of them. the foot design looks better than the mp btw (or maketoys for that matter). anyway, i want to get the original 3 seekers in this new mold...and i'll probably pikc up the tetrajets in SW and TC colors (we never saw SS in his tetrajet mode on screen or at least i only remember seeing TC adn SW). the new prime has hips like the bumblebee prime and suprisingly is not a retool of siege prime...the trailer looks bad but i'll probably get it too. wheeljack...best wheeljack aside from mp. hoist looke great. cliffjumpers looks good too.
  10. wait what the difference with the carbonized ones? and why are there like 3 different boxes for the mandalorian...cool costume btw.
  11. XTB going to town with the stunticons normal g1 toon versions, g2 exclsuive repaints and now g1 toy versions. they do look dramaticaly different (these toy versions). i only had 2 of the sunticons as a kid so that is one team where my primary reference (well nostalgia generator) would be the toon...they toy bot heads give them totaly different personalities. i like toy dragstrip and toy dead ends added details and racing stripes but dislike their heads (not a coincidence that I didn't own those two toys i guess). i've yet to check my dragstrip's shoulders for what appears to be a latent issue (well some people broke them straight off teh bat but apparenlty som eare just breaking sitting on the shelf)... if mine breaks i hope i can get replacements but i assume thney have the issue corrected wigh the G2 and th toy versions (hopefully)...so i may pick up at toyo version and put the toon head on if all else fails. anyway, like very other xtb stunticon collector i'm wating on Motor master news.
  12. that omega, at one point i wanted it. i like th level of detail on it, BUT i keep the bad parts now. awkward hips. arms a bit short. the clear yellow chest piece needs to be clear red. i do like what they did with the rest of it though mostly.
  13. i had rex teh blue eagle one and probably that vf-1s or a knockoff of it.
  14. the betas are half the reason i got the alphas from toynami! i haven't touched the alphas in years but they were not broken when i put them back in their boxes....i wonder how many survived the test of time itself! kind of afraid to dig them out and look. lol. the betas though....nice and solid. love those things (But havent' taken those out in years as well). i think i sold my sue graham (the pink shadow one whichever that was) to jenius. wonder if its the one that ended up being reviewed. lol. that said i want at least one of the sentinel legioss...to see for myself what its like. my ET's are my "main" legioss now. they do LOOK cool and handle ok, but i feel like more could have been done to improve them...if they came out in 2008 they'd be peer competitive almost (but not quite), but they came ou tin what 2018 so they are a bit underwhelming despite looking pretty.
  15. nice photos everyone! also lots of prime talk! i like! mp-01...its THE figure that made me start collecting TFs (and to be honest any toys including macross) again. to this day, the bot mode holds up pretty well. the alt mode is well...just ok and light years behind mp-10. that being said if someone were to release it in exactly mp-10 height with the correct mix of materials mp-01 had...i'd buy it all over again. heck for a long time before mp-10 came out i had pp-01 (igear's downsized) version as my "main" mpish prime surrounded by classics/henkei carbots. in my head that made sense against the mp-03 sized seekers etc. pp-01 is like too small and doesn't feel as good in hand (its very light and feels like it could break but doesn't), but i was grateful to have an in scale-ish prime. mp-01 was just way oversized and was displayed by itself. i liked mp-01 so much (well mp-04 really is what i had), i even bought a last shot mp-01L to keep pristine in box "forever". it still sits pristine in box, unopened. When mp-10 was announced, I think i derided the longish arms but generally liked it. in hand it was kinda like magic and instantly became my main prime...i thought it was the only prime i ever needed and bought the mold and its derivatives many times over (mp-10b, yoth, hasbro's version, ko white version, oversized ko mpp-10, downsized ko mp-10v and i'm probably forgetting one or two). and i have a reissue takara misb..."forever" -then 2019 happened and we got two 3P MP primes...i picked the one that to me reminds me of prime the best, which was the TE. I kinda wished they'd make an mp-10ish or real worldish deco but the white legs look ok because he is just THAT toon where i can see where they were gong and overlook that. I bought the V1 and go the 2nd head....now i'm wondering if i should pick up a 3rd run one (V2 improvements and slightly less translucent windows) to be my main prime that is how much i like it. MS's alt mode and odd thigh cuts and lack of a noticeable blue crotch are turn offs but i feel like i'd like it in hand with the extra articulation etc.....maybe the ms-01X version will be acquired at some point....i dunno. that leads me to mp-44....so conflicted on it. I had the thing preordered on amazon JP so it was $325 shipped....BUT I cancelled last minute. This is the first time i've not supported takara's mp line's prime. to me, there are just too many visible hinges etc and messy panels and the huge backpack. The photos of it though in various nice poses that take attention away form the sculpt's inherent "messiness" and highlight that nice finish are leaving me weak in the knees...maybe not quite as weak in the knees as mp-44 itself. lol....and then i think of the knees...i kinda refuse to pay what i can get it for now (430ish?) and still get a figure i have to fix out of the box. So, thats where I am with mp-44...admiring from afar while contemplating picking up another TE-01...hoping a future reissue of mp-44 fixes said knee issues and comes down in price! for all the issues i have with the mold, i do have to compliment that sculpting. the shape of the forearms and thighs are great. Something to do with the rounding radii they picked and teh depth of the panel lines is magical....better than TE-01 i'll admit there...but TE-01 still wins for me in the proportions and overlook look. oh and what else, i have a softimus prime. lol. saw it at a walmart years ago and picked it up. cool little thing. haha
  16. anyone have a picture of their rick with minmay? i thought they made minmay too tall, so i guess they are making all of them too tall. its ok i guess, i'm not going to display them with any other 1/12 figures (SHF figures are usually a touch shorter than 1/12 and marvel legends are a touch bigger than 1/12 but again i'd only display them with others in the same line).
  17. The SOC version just IS Voltron. The titan power release looks "reimagined". in TF speak....classicspiece but an actionmaster. haha. If it had lion modes MAYBE i'd think about it. As is....it looks nice but i'll be happy looking at it from afar on a monitor or phoen screen.
  18. man i need that legioss...the looks are non traditional, but i like how the figher's nose isn't just flipped backwards onto its back. they thought about the cockpit, where that goes and how to shorten the nose turned into "tail". the joint system on the thing will give it a great diver mode too. hopefully its all solid and not fidgety or fragile. although i prefer the ET's proportions overall (less squat), i think if they pull this off, it will be the first modern legioss toy that feels as if its made when it is and is good in comparison to its peers. toynamis and CMs both lagged behind their peers...for instance the valkyries of the late aughts were much better toys than those legioss/alphas, and lets not menton how much better a 2008 circa valkyrie is compared to a 2017/8 ET legioss. that said i'll keep my ET trio (RGB, didn't bite on the dark one) and add one of these new ones...i'd like to get all of them but real life etc. haha.
  19. god i'd love to have that jetfire! too bad there is not box....i wonder where in my parent's basement my g1 jetfire box is. lol...hmmm...
  20. I just think the rear is too thick...its a worse offender than mp-10 there , so much so that mp-10s trailer won't work heightwise with ms-01. Out of the 3 choices, it's the only one I can point to that has a "worse " alt mode overall than mp-10. Of course that's just my opinion and some people don't give a crap about the alt mode anyway.
  21. the individual bots and alt modes mostly look great, but are pricey! at between carbot and seeker height they are right sized for my head canon too (if not the scale chart) if the combined mode was more to my liking i'd have one of these already too.
  22. true....BUT MS has a bad alt mode rear half, and TE-01 doesn't have mp-44's articulation. that said, TE-01 is my OP. skipping mp-44 for now. skipping an mp op form takara was unthinkable to me just a year or two ago. now, I'm thinking of even picking up anohter TE-01 as backup and maybe painting the grey waist hinges white....of the other way around...get rid of the white and go silver/grey. that said the painting part probably won't happen but the backup copy might (mine's a V1 and the V2 has more ratchet teeth apparently).
  23. i'm betting these are straight up reverse engineered from final product. just takes some equipment and a few engineers (remember labor in overseas areas where production happends.. including skilled professionals is cheaper there than say the USA or Japan) to do the 3D model up. and send those models and prints out for quote to the right molding houses, get it tooled up....and maybe do the assembly in house once the components are in. totally doable, its just the business case to go ahead with tooling up the molds has to be solid...which they can guarantee via preorders etc....i would think. the SSP are different enough that i doubt its old discarded molds being used (unless they are fairly early revsions etc)...although its certainly one of a few different possibilities.
  24. so that display piece looks great. do we ASSume the production version will look like? if we don't preorder we will pay the full MSRP or higher, but what if we preorder again and its again the wrong color again? haha. i mean i like the color the original release was but somehow can't help but feel cheated once as over time i've come to like the paler/greyer blue better...and this PF version of that blue looks great!
