  1. Does it come with the base, too?
  2. Figma's started showing some sweet TV versions (?) of Dead Master and Black God Saw. Personally, I'm going to try avoiding TV versions of BRS characters I've already got, but that Henrietta figma they've got is tempting.
  3. You can say that again. DX-12 Batman and Bane both started pre-order in the same week, just like the Tumbler and the Bat-pod. And then there's Catwoman. I'm not sure how long my willpower will hold out against ED 209. Been one of my holy grails since childhood.
  4. So it's begun.... Now all we need is to start a global war and get some androgynous emo teenage kids to pilot these things.
  5. I'm a sucker for "anime-ified" comic characters, so this is a winner AFAIC. Love the HS. Nice rack, too.
  6. I guess those will have to do. Good luck on your purchase, man.
  7. I know where you're coming from. It does seem quite ridiculous the way it just pops out of the tumbler like that. Yeah, that perpendicular rolling thing...even after rewatching that sequence for the nth time, I still don;t see how that works. Looks cool, though. Personally, I love the aesthetics of it, and that early pic of Anne Hathaway riding it just made me put the cash down for it. You know, since the HT fig is confirmed to have authentic rooted hair instead of sculpted, we'll all ending playing with our Catwoman "dolls" at some point, brushing out the tangles. HT should really include a free hairbrush like the ones that come with those Barbie dolls.
  8. Well, your main concern should be that the battle-damage chest part fits perfectly on the figure. The pic on that link merely showed that the the peg on the part was snapped off. Only buy if there are authenticated pics of the fig with the battle-damaged armor piece fitted perfectly onto the figure, with no noticeable gaps.
  9. LOL!
  10. A word of caution: the first batch of MK. VI's had fitting issues with their battle-damage chest armor. The pegs they used on the battle-damaged chest armor was initially molded to fit an older MK. V fig, which doesn't fit the MK. VI figs well. I don't know about other places, but my hobby store never released the first batches and had the recalled. HT replaced these with new chest armor parts. I'm not sure if all the first batches of MK. VI's were recalled, but you might want to keep an eye in that, maybe ask him to post photos of the fig with the battle-damaged armor used. What's so bad about the Bat-pod? I can understand your dislike of The Bat (kinda meh, design-wise) but what's wrong with the bat-pod? And NO it's NOT a doll...unless you have an afternoon tea-time session with it. Looks like a Dolfie cosplaying as Catwoman. Dolfie's will start to creep you out if you stare at it too long...they start to stare back at you.
  11. I'm not buying The Bat either; no space+lack of fig funds = no buy. But if you're gonna buy the Catwoman "doll" (it's an action figure, you hear me?! An action figure!), you MUST get the Bat-pod to display with her. Just getting the fig alone is like eating a veggie burger--it's just not the same. In any case, the fig won't be out for a while yet. They seem to have stuck the head to a generic plastic body; you can see the seams on the shiny plastic on its neck. Please, in the name of mercy, HT! Don't open this for pre-order until at least next year! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I hope they do something about that dry-rotting rubber on the dome. That's a thing of beauty. I want one. A 50cm fig like that can't be cheap, though. How about the MK. VII from The Avengers? Just opened for pre-order recently. At least it looks a lot like the older versions, just slightly bulkier. Comes with battle damaged armor parts, optional forearms with extended missiles, and even a smiling Tony Stark head sculpt. The Iron Man 3 "desert cammo" one is horrible, IMO.
  12. So did I. Yet here I am, with pre-order receipts for a 1/6 scale Tumbler, Bat-pod, DX-12 Batman, Bane, and waiting to jump on the Catwoman figure once pre-order opens. And I'm already stealing hungry glances at the ED-209 prototype.
  13. Good point. If it's getting displayed at the con, it should still be up for release. BTW, awesome display they've got going there.
  14. I'm hearing rumors on another site that The Bat might be canceled due to the size and price. Not that I'm buying it or anything, but does anyone have confirmation of this?
  15. Watching the second season of Beelzebub.
  16. I'm a little worried about that material they're using for the ED-209's dome. Hopefully its a different, non-dry-rotting rubber, or better still, plastic or fabric. And please, HT, don't release this for pre-order this year! I've got way too much on my plate as it is. Hopefully, Catwoman's their last pre-order item for the year. About The Bat; I recall it has a pair of seats side by side in the trailer videos (the part where Catwoman goes, "My mother told me never to get into cars with strangers"), but on the toy, it's got tandem seats. Or was Catwoman sitting on Batman's lap or something? P.S., no spoilers, please; haven't had the chance to watch the movie yet.
  17. Actually, I was hoping for a super-cute mutant sushi bishoujo to spawn from that mating.
  18. That "desert cammo" scheme is ugly. Still, it looks like a bona fide masterpiece compared to the Iron Patriot.
  19. What on earth could possibly result from the mating of two pieces of raw fish on vinegared rice? E-coli, maybe?
  20. WTF? That's not even a KO. That's a...that's....I'm not even sure what the hell that is. Looks like something some kid kitbashed together from some old MJ toys. The seller can't possibly get away with that. I think this actually counts as a con job. It's like putting an actual Ferarri on sale, but giving the buyer a Hot Wheels toy instead. As for the Iron Man figures, why not wait until Hot Toys starts making the suits for the third movie? I'm not sure if the new suit will look similar to the MK. VI, but if you're not too particular, Iron Man designs don't usually vary too much. Besides, HT is always finding new excuses to milk licenses. As for War Machine, yeah, I think you should buy one while you still can. No telling it it will be re-released by HT, or if the old design would even be used in the third movie. Not sure how real that rumored pic of the Iron Patriot is, but it looks horrible.
  21. Wow, I didn't know that. I guess the more popular ones will have KO versions. IMO, if you're okay with amazon's price, then you probably should one from them--for peace of mind, if nothing else. I stay away from ebay precisely because of things like these. Personally I think 100 USD is very reasonable, considering the price of the original release. Then again, it could be a sculpt from the first movie; HT has improved RDJ's head sculpt by leaps and bounds in the later versions.
  22. Now that you mentioned it, that does kinda count as sex, doesn't it? Gives new meaning to the phrase, "doing it raw."
  23. What, no gratuitous nudity?
  24. None that I've heard off. The suit is made of PVC aka artificial leather. the Batman suit was made of some sort of rubber. The same kind of rubber they used for the Comedian's vest, which also had the oily -residue problem. AFAIK, no. Unlike TF's and other mass-produced toys, a KO HT figure would need a ton of work put into it to even look like the real HT stuff, which is probably too much of a hassle for KO manufacturers to bother with.
  25. Yeah, there's a rather unsightly seam across her neck when you look at it sideways, like she got beheaded or something. I hardly touch the suit. There's a warning about dyes from the clothing staining the figure, so I don't usually pose her with her poncho and mask on. I was so worried about creases and wear and tear, that I pose her in a somewhat neutral standing pose, and keep her in an airtight acrylic display case. But from what I can tell, the suit doesn't allow for much articulation in the legs, which is a shame given the way the charater fights in the game. One thing you might want to be aware of, are the holsters for her submachine guns. One of the loops on mine was too small, and I couldn't fit the gun's handle through.
