If Qui Gon "discovered" how to bring his "spirit" back so he can communicate with the living....I'm thinking Sidious (or some new Sith we have not been introduced to taught him how to do it) may have learned that technique...and further "unnaturally" twisted it...to include the ability to embody the "spirit" into a host......Sidious would have probably kept this knowledge to himself.....just like Yoda kept it to himself until he revealed it to Obi Wan..... I'm probably wrong, but I would not be surprised at all to see "Sidious" back in some form or other....... As far as Han, Leia..their kid(s).....perhaps they will take the Indiana Jones route and start off by re-introducing Han and Leia after years of being apart......and introducing a son and/or daughter that Han was not aware of (like Mutt).....being twins would certainly play into the one good/one bad type of storyline...but who knows...it could work with just one...falling to the dark side! I am actually more interested in what they will do with the Luke character......although Leia apparently is also Force sensitive...he is really the "last" Jedi at the conclusion of ROTJ.......I can only assume that he would be interested in re-establishing the "order" and that Obi-wan, Yoda, and Anakin would have been there with him to "assist" in this.....(will Hayden return???) Maybe Sidious' character is introduced as a "Jedi in hiding" who comes to Luke and becomes a 'trusted friend/advisor" and offers his "ability' to seek out force sensitive kids/beings and recruit them into some new Jedi academy (personal Sith recruiting center?)....and Han/Leia's kid (s) would be training in this "academy", already older teens and ready for the "trials".....and, of course, one of them would fall into Sidious' dark side "teachings"...... All speculation, of course, but like Macross......there is a formula that Star Wars seems to follow: Hero rises....Hero falls.....Hero is redeemed..........mix in Jedi, Sith, space and lightsaber battles...plus R2 and C3PO...and you have Star Wars!

Yep....I have similar purchase patterns for other niches within Macross collecting.....unfortunately, toys is not one of them....

I'm not worried....Macross has always had a story to tell in their shows.....whether fans liked it or not is a different matter......to me, each had something of interest..... As for the Macross merchandise juggernaut...it all started with the original series in '82...and boy was there was alot produced!!!.....and then it was mostly dormant until the most recent Macross F installment......as a collector during the entire Macross line of shows.....it's slim pickings, in terms of toys/collectibles, when it comes to every show between SDFM and Macross F...... In short, we really haven't been over saturated (spoiled?) with Macross merchandising during most of the Macross shows....and when we were...I do not think it took anything away from our enjoyment and/or the quality of the show itself.....so bring on the merchandising!

Bandai does seem to have gotten itself on a Macross DX producing groove as of late......I'm sure they wouldn't mind keeping that money train going....

Seeing that pic reminded me of this comic book scene for some reason.... ....like someone else posted earlier...I too would no longer consider myself a mega-fan of Star Wars...but all the collective Star Wars imagery is so hard-coded into my brain growing up with the OT that a simple pic becomes instantly recognizable.......looking forward to what they come up with on this new Sequel trilogy....and I hope the hard-core fans are not too disappointed....

Relax....I am not saying "wishful thinking" did not occur during Yamato's time as it occurs now during Arcadia's....but clearly the pic drops massive hints as to what was in the minds of YAMATO....before all went sour....and based on the pics some of it was not wishful thinking...again I am just referring to Yamato and the items hinted at in the posted pic...several of which were considered "wish list" items...

Based on this pic posted in the Arcadia VF-19Kai re-release thread, I wouldn't say it was "wishful thinking"....more like "broken dreams" brought on by Yamato's demise (assuming the 'hints" dropped in the pic aren't just on temporary "hold")......

The last Yamato bundled release was the VF-17D with fast packs.........there were no savings in buying it bundled or separately (based on MSRP).... So based on the original MSRP of the -19 kai and sound booster........22000 JPY + 9800 JPY = 31800 JPY..... However, they are mentioning "extras"......although unlikely...what if they do pack in the sound bazooka??? Might be getting close to the 400 USD mark....and would be a non-customer friendly move IMO to make it only available with the re-release bundle pack.....to be honest...I'd feel the same way about the inclusion of a 1/60 Fire Bomber set......very cool.... but really sticking it to their loyal customers.....personally, if the inclusion of 1/60 scale figurines are the only "extras" I may just wait for EXO to make a better set! Same goes for the Sound Bazooka.....MW has the talent to build that too!..... How much more did the new VF-1S re-releases really cost???.....discounting the "stand".....was that stand really worth an extra 7000 JPY based off the cost of the last VF-1S 30th release that came with the option parts? That stand does a good job at hiding the true cost increases that Arcadia is charging for their stuff post-Yamato........now it makes sense why they may apparently start adding "extras" to all of their re-releases...... I think, in terms of "re-releases", the argument of continuing to "support Arcadia by buying their re-releases" has lost ground (I think a VF-4 or VT-1, not a VF-19 kai, re-release would have recharged that mindset)......coupled with what seems like an underwhelming reception of the YF-19............and I guess you can infer that the honeymoon is over! Failure to "spark some sizzle" with the upcoming VF-0D.......and we might be looking at filing some divorce (bankruptcy) papers again! And before anyone brings up the tired old argument about Japan being different.....I've seen the high demand and prices paid for the VF-4 and VT-1 on the Japanese aftermarket....VF-19 Kai and sound boosters? Not so much.....

Macross 7 Film Comic Books Volume 1 - 10 - published by Anime Comics World - Hong Kong..... I recently picked up these books off eBay...they seem like officially licensed books, however, they might not be: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/boot_still.htm .....Does anyone know anything more about them?....Are there more volumes or did it stop at 10? I do not think I ever saw Japanese versions of these comics, so that is why I think they may not be bootlegs.....if they are, someone spent a lot of time and effort on them..... The quality is great....they remind me of the old SDFM Film Comics:
