Despite the many vocal votes for the VF-5000 both the primary and secondary votes show that the TV SDF-1 is only just slightly less popular than the VF-2SS in total, though the 2SS is still the main favorite by quite a bit.

I checked out a video review of that EX Gear. Too bad about the articulation with it all on as well. I already paid for my Michael parts as it was part of the pre-order for the Alto one's as well. I'm going to be super pissed if for some reason they don't have my Alto parts for some reason. Or they take a long time to ship, possibly for the same reason.

FYI, the bracket is actually there in Battroid if your leg to torso connection is so crap that the two halves refuse to stay together. Both of mine are like that.

So far, combining all first and secondary votes, the VF-2SS is winning by a wide margin, with a tie between the SDF-1 and VF-5000 for second place. I would buy any one of those three, honestly.

Possible additional note for you to add about Gerwalk/Battroid. The QC is not consistent. Of my two, one was stiff enough out of the box to hold a decent Gerwalk without the brace. However neither of them will hold Battroid without that brace attached.

The color was going to be one of my various complaints, if I ever got around to making the video. Bandai got lazy (shock!) with something else and didn't do the leading edges in a lighter color.

The 17's aren't engineered as well as the 19 or 4 but they're great. I have an S and two Ds and I'm extremely happy with them.

Anime5K19(whatever) described actually taking the entire thing apart but it's apparently a harrowing experience getting it all back together again.

I don't own the game but I posted a screen shot and the tail fins can turn inward on the toy. I feel like it looks better that way. Technically you can do it however you like but I feel the manual is wrong.

You are correct, Bandai has got the orientation of the tail fins incorrect the entire time. Look at the game screens. The game is also consistent with the original transformation video Kawamori showed off with Legos. You don't have the wings folded over entirely because of the missiles on the hard points but if you did you'd notice the orientation of the folded wing and the tail fins would complement each other if the tail fin were turned inward instead of outward.

FYI, I've noticed everybody is still transforming the YF-30 to Battroid wrong. The tail fins on the back are supposed to fold inward toward the Battroid, not away. That's how the original Lego transformation video Kawamori showed off did it, that's how it does it in the game and the lineart for the game. However, NONE of the Bandai production photos, or even the box cover, do it that way. I feel it looks better as it mimics the orientation of the folded over wing above it.
