This is at a toy show right? It's fascinating that they're showing off the 31A. I'm wondering if they are planning to make a toy from it in a similar vein to the YF-25.

Yup. Kind of a catch 22 on Kawamori's part. I think he was trying to deviate from the 25 era look by putting the nosecone someplace else. But then the pod couldn't be stored anywhere and he capitulated and just did the 25 style nose dive in the chest again. Okay, just imagine an A variant in the CF color scheme similar to the 25A CF. THAT would look awesome. We can only hope it happens. Also, that black one is guaranteed to be a bitch to pre-order.

No, there's not. The attach point for the torso is on the underside of the fuselage the nose cone is attached to. In order to expose the attach point you have to flip the entire section to the back and the nose cone comes with it.

I honestly don't believe that. It's more likely they'll gauge it based on the sales for that little SDFM SDF-1.

There's a reason why, the YF-30's cose cone folds back around and protrudes from the back. On the VF-31 the nosecone folds downward like on the 25 series so there's no protrusion out the back. If it weren't for the nose cone the YF-30 could already do that so it should be safe thinking the 31 can absolutely do that.

Right, because the suit was so massive and modular every piece of it had a separate arc reactor. That's why the chest and both the legs glow, those are all arc reactors. The reactors for the arms are in the hands and doubles as power and weapons. I think it's true the hands should light up too though the light gimmick means nothing to me. Given the mechanism to make the hands as flexible as they are plus give them some stability there is zero room for lights, though. A standard ball hinge wouldn't work on something that big so they have this thick curved piece that fits inside the hand which would make wires and circuitry impossible. Hot Toys have light up hands but those hands aren't terribly posable. It was an unfortunate tradeoff but necessary I think.I believe most criticisms are from people who balked at the price and are trying to convince themselves they don't need it. It's pretty much one of the best "six inch scale" figures I've ever handled. I've been asked to make a video review for the Hulkbuster and I want to but taking care of my Mom takes first priority. -
I'm not sure about all of them, some of the fabrics work better than others. I like that armored Batman a lot, I'll probably wind up with the black and Red Daredevils and the black punisher. Both the cap figures have funny looking pants, maybe the one with the helmet I'll try out. Maybe the comic style Superman as well although I've mever been a DC or Superman fan.

So that Batman Returns and Judge Dread figures they've already released were pretty cool and now they've come back with a lot of other DC characters, and Star Trek and Space Ghost... and FREAKING MARVEL. The Ankles on my Hikaru are massively floppy now. Max has held up but I haven't really fidgeted with him as much.
