    My Max's (a 22 and DYRL A & S) are all boxed up so that I can make room to mess with other Valks currently so I can't right now. Wish I had the TV versions too. To my eyes, it's more of a greyish blue compared to what we generally think of as Max blue though. I'll look at it more closely in daylight on the weekend though. I won't be able to play with it til then.

    So brief impressions from playing with the D...massively impressed out of the box. I won't have time during the week to transform so I'll have more detailed thoughts on that over the weekend. The weight feels just right. It's heavy enough because of the diecast but not overly heavy. Everything feels nice and tight. I'll move the ankles more later but they seem tight for now. I'll take a closer look on Saturday. The giant fighter mode adapter stays in the box but whatever...it's small potatoes so most of you shouldn't care. Yeti might be working on a better one anyway. I hate to even bring up the color thing again but the color is beautiful and very NOT Max and NOT bright blue. It's a darker blue but has a grey to it. I'm not good at describing color but it's very different in hand and not something that has been captured very well from all the pics we've gotten because everyone has different cameras and settings. The gunpod has a nice diecast bar in it too The box art is nice. It's just a pic of the toy in fighter mode but it fooled me at a distance.

    Hopefully he'll pull through. A few years ago we had a local place in northern CA who tried that and a bunch of us tried to order from them but they got nothing. I ordered as a backup plan. Lucky thing they didn't ask for payment up front. Nowadays when it comes to Bandai Valks, I only order from six stores and they're all based in Japan. BBTS used to carry some Bandai Valks but either HG put the screws to them or fulfillment was just too much of a hassle.

    Check around the top of page 100. There's a pic of the 25A in Tornado pack. The pack makes it look huge and comparable to the 0D in size. I don't think anyone posted pics of a naked 25 next to a 0D yet though.

    Next in line for preorders are the new Zeros. I'd keep up with that thread for now. The short of it...preorder at one of these stores most of the time: HLJ, Amiami, NY, CDJ, Hobbysearch, or Anime Export for Bandai (I've won a Bandai PO from every one of those). Arcadia is thankfully more forgiving in terms of how long you have to PO. Arcadia is a smaller company and they will charge more for their Valks. Lots of debate on why that is. Spend some time round these parts. We'll help out in the other threads but you gotta try to keep up and read several of the more current pages of the active threads. Welcome to EmDubyaEff

    I have one on tentative preorder still but I'd be less reserved if this was the grey goggles version. That would seal the deal for me.

    There are a few design choices I don't care for. Lots of ovals for one. The Liefeld guns being another... The concept is cool. I like the modular components and the tiny pilot. Just wished the aesthetics were a little different but I guess that's his style. I'm not too familiar with his comic book work.

    Anyone preorder? I saw that they may be releasing a dark/black colored one. If I was interested, I'd go for that one over the faint purple one.
