    Interesting deal on the backpack, hopefully something to do with supers attaching, once you see it though, it's kinda hard to unsee. Anywhoo, mine's leaving Tokyo at the moment according to EMS tracking so hopefully here in Texas by Wednesday maybe even Tuesday, we'll see!

    Bandai X-Wing finished up...came out pretty good for a freebie I guess. The fact that I actually got the microscopic blue R2-D2 decals down on and around the tiny robot head is nothing short of amazing.. LOL. I didnt do great on detailing the pilot. I didn't go for 100% Luke Red 5 screen accuracy on this.. just kinda whatever. Overall I still like my Finemolds 1:48 better however. Enjoy the pics! Next up.. B-Wing time!!! :-)

    Nothing from AmiAmi on my end yet....patiently waiting. I was thinking about masking and painting the grey goggle piece on my head after I'm done playing around with it. We'll see. Also, I'm torn whether or not to panel line it! It's so pretty just white...

    I would simply get a good old #11 blade for an Xcto hobby knife and gently ream out the hole until it's perfect. Shouldn't take much.

    yeeeeh...about like the Drakken...LOL. Annnywhoo...if I get one of these, he'll stay in robot mode and face off against MP-36 Megs, I'll leave my good old MP-10 in truck mode.

    Mine always go through Chicago and I've never had an issue, usually lands on my doorstep the very day or the next day once I see it in Chicago, the one time mine went to SF, it took like 3 extra days...

    Yes....that's certainly one way to do it..HOWEVER...as an experienced modeler and toy panel lining guy, (I've done over 30 1:60 Ver2 Yamato's and Bandai DX's/HM-R's)-- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Tamiya Panel line wash. It WILL attack certain kinds of plastics that Bandai themselves use and turn it into a crumbly mess. I have SEVERAL Star Wars Bandai model kits that have fallen prey to this just this year. This stuff has it's uses, but IT IS vicious on some plastics especially where joints are concerned! My recommendation is using Flory's Clay based Dark Dirt wash for the Valks. It's clay based, which means it's water soluble. The Tamiya panel line wash IS NOT, it takes paint thinner to take it off and that will also effect paint finish and the tampo printing is overly applied. It's SO muuuuch easier to clean up and make your lines perfect with the Flory's. I actually did two white neck filler parts as a side by side test, one with the Tamiya and one with the Flory's, to the naked eye, there is no difference. Just my .02!

    Woke up to payment request from AmiAmi. With EMS shipping to TX and Paypal conversion fee, this bird set me back $204 and change. Well....what the wife doesn't know won't hurt me... Now it's the waiting game.

    All things being equal I'm hoping to pay for mine and depending on Post Office New Year's Day/customs delays, I'm hoping to have mine in hand by like Jan 5th ish...we'll see!

    Brother In Law came through for me and actually got me toys to play with for Xmas!!! He's awesome. My 1st (and probably only) Studio Series TFer... gotta say, it's pretty detailed! I also like how the G1 reissues have cartoonier looking faces then the one I had as a kid.
