All that tech and they still couldn't kill a bunch of Ewoks with rocks...

Even if the new design did not have the eyeballs the stormtrooper helmets are a terrible design, seeing anything out of them even with the wrap around view is nearly impossible. Unless they are supposed to be sensors rather then eye holes. I've had paintball goggles with better vision and it is still extremely limited.

I'm fairly certain it was picked up early for a second season. I had to stop watching it after episode 3, I can handle it when Star Trek has Kirk go on all the away team missions - it was a lot tougher sell with a US Navy ship captain. What really turned me off was when they Captain and a crewmen or two go back and take on a village full of armed men - when they could quickly and easily have gone back to the ship to get backup... (oh - and NOT checking up on a "friendly" radio signal in any way)

I can't argue with the cartoon being better but Patrick Warburton was BORN to play the Tick.
-
I don't even know who Bad Horse and the ELE are... The Tick Live action show was a low budget affair - that has more to do with the character design then anything I would think. Hopefully if Amazon does pick it up (not Netflix, ooops) they spend a little more cash on the production.
-
Not sure if it goes here(*), being Netflix rather than network TV but "The Tick" live action show might (emphasis on might...) be getting new life on Netflix. http://www.cnet.com/news/the-tick-live-action-series-to-return-on-amazon/ (*) Maybe the remakes thread, I looked for "the tick" but didn't get any hits.

Not till after December I would imagine, that is when the Gatlantis based movie is supposed to be coming out.

That video gave me a thought, they should bring back "At the Movies" with Waldorf and Statler!

I think the one between Spider Man's is the shortest out there. Scary to think I am probably wrong.

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time II: The Quickening
Dynaman replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No, it is a very good idea. Most people do not lack for entertainment choices - they lack the resources (usually money) to make use of all the choices available. As an example, I will NOT see another Transformers movie again, I've wasted enough time and money on the first one (and that was only a Netflix rental) when there are other options out there.- 854 replies

What clue is there that what Miilia said was a question while what Max said was a statement. In English we put the interrogative spin on the pronounciation - I could not hear any difference between the way Max said it and the way Miilia did? Is there something we need to listen for?

Space Pirate Captain Harlock" CG Movie, Autumn 2013
Dynaman replied to chowyunskinny's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That is strange, I saw it in Japanese audio with English subtitles. Just double checked, English subs are showing up still. What Netflix app are you using?- 182 replies

I liked it too. It was not a great movie but it certainly does not belong anywhere near this thread.- 854 replies

How much water did it take? Realistically we are covered in water every single minute of our lives. Were they in a desert? Here in NJ they would spontaneously combust on contact with the atmosphere...- 854 replies

So very sad. Even in bad movies (Popeye) he was an incredible talent. Then he went and did serious roles and was awesome in those too (the one where he played a killer up in Alaska - remake of a foreign film), and THEN he was humble enough and smart enough to play the straight man when it served the movie best (The Birdcage).

Blastr reports that JMS is writing a reboot movie for Babylon 5. I'm taking that news with a large grain of salt. He does not even had a studio backing it yet and unlike Lucas he does not have the money to make it on his own. I would be interested in seeing it but a single movie just would not cut it for a B5 remake.

Robotech Academy - You want a new Robotech series...?
Dynaman replied to Einherjar's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It was going to be DVDs and Blu Rays as well. The movie had no direct impact on the Shadow Rising - if that were the case then Love Live Alive would not be able to have been released either.- 2025 replies
