  1. I have a nasty feeling this is going to end up not being made Graham
  2. I'll pass on the armour for this, personally I think it looks better naked and that's how we see it 99% of the time. Although it would be nice to have the wing missiles. Graham
  3. Still no formal confirmation, but more and more sources are saying it was bankruptcy Graham
  4. Is the first hybrid game worth getting? Graham
  5. Is it just me, or do the back FAST Packs, Strike cannon look too small. Graham
  6. Once you learn the VF-17, it's actually pretty easy, but I did spend a lot of time learning it. Graham
  7. Would my dark green Q-Rau test shot qualify for grail status? ( probably not) Or my lighter than normal grey SDF-1 test shot? Ah, maybe I sold that already??? Graham
  8. Didn't sell it, no buyer in the end. Still got it (I think), Let me check. Too much Macross stuff passed through my hands this past decade. Graham Initial runs of the first two 1/48 releases (VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Focker), were 15,000pcs each IIRC, subsequent releases were lower at about 7,000 and then 5,000pcs. Graham
  9. Production quantity for the 1/48 low vis was 2,500pcs. Graham

    Macross 30

Cool, the Diamond Force colour scheme for the VF-171EX had been mentioned in one of the threads, but it's my first time somebody posted pics. Thanks. It looks great. Graham
  11. Well, if this truely is the end, once it's confirmed it is the end and time has passed for the dust to settle, I have some wonderful stories to tell, figures to share, photos to post etc.......hahah But let's just wait and see. Graham
  12. Damn, I don't even remember where my Macross shot glass is. Completely forgot about it. Have to look for it tonight. I have a Whatsapp conversation with a Yamato employee, just wondering should I post it. If I do, I'll have to redact the names. Graham
  13. Where was it written or confirmed that that Arcadia had kept all former Yamato employees? I don't recall seeing or hearing this peice of information before! Unless this information was clearly stated in an official posting from Yamato or Arcadia, i.e. on their blog, website etc, it's just heresay. Now I have no idea about Japanese bankruptcy law. But here in HK if a company is bankrupt and is forceably wound up to pay off debts, all assests of the company would be seized by baliffs and auctioned off in public auction. If the same applies to Japan, then all the 1/60 toy molds may not be in Arcadia's possession. Now I don't mean to sound all negative, and I'm hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but there may well not be. Graham
  14. I've still got no additional information about whether Arcadia will continue with 1/60 scale transforming Macross toys. But my gut feeling is that it's game over. Graham
  15. Yeah, Hobby Link Japan are notorious for their slow processing ;( , which is why I seldom use them. For me they are always the option of last resort. If I request EMS or FedEx shipping, that's like generally a clue that I want something ASAP!, not wait around 10 days for two weeks before they get off their asses and ship my order out.......Grrrrr! Graham
  16. Just went on a buying spree and bought another VF-17S, a VF-1A Cavaliers and another VF-1S Focker TV 30th anni. Will feel sad if these are the last Yamatos I ever buy. Graham
  17. Last time I ordered from them, it took 4 to 5 days from payment until they shipped. Graham
  18. I'm the same, don't understand how most people have time for long stretches on consoles. By the time I'm home from work, had dinner, got the kid to bed, it's usually about 9pm and I'm just so tired I wanna crash.....haha. To be honest I haven't even got past the first tutorial mission on Macross 30 yet, despite having it for 2 weeks already. I decided to play the Frontier 2nd movie hybrid game instead (never can remember the Frontier movie titles.......LOL they're just 1st and 2nd movie to me). I can sit and play the hybrid game in 10 or 20 minute bursts. The only time I have time and energy for long gaming sessions is on the commute to and from work, which is why most of my gaming is mobile. Can't lug a PS3 on the bus or train LOL. Graham
  19. Just got this together with the DYRL hybrid, now that I've finally got a PS3. Loving the YF-29 in this. I never really liked it in the movie, as you don't actually see it that much, but in the game I love watching it, it just looks so awesome and kicks as as well. Decided to play the hybrids before working my way to playing Macross 30. Graham
  20. Haha, despite probably having hundreds of hours on the PSP games, I guess I'm starting to go senile. Anyway, loving the game, but not that impressed with the movie quality. Anything black colour looks really grainy. I'll stick with watching my DVD versions I think. Graham
  21. Just got this. How do I change secondary weapon type? Couldn't figure it out. Graham

    Macross 30

So after the first play through, can you then play as other characters, such as Gamlin, Isamu, Basara, Hikaru, Max, Milia, Shin etc? Graham
  23. The Bandai 30th Anniversary YF-29 color scheme should be in the game. You would think that would be a no brainer. Hopefully it will be available as DLC. Graham

    Macross 30

So now that several people have played through the game, is there an optional beam weapon pod to replace the missile launcher pod on the YF-30? Graham
  25. Ditto, from what I'm hearing toy collectors and fans outside of MW are also worried by the lack of news and updates from Arcadia. I also agree that in any sort of business transition like this, no news is generally a bad sign. Although ownership for the molds for the toys could easily be transfered from Yamato to Arcadia, the licences from Big West to produce and sell the toys is likely another matter. This would probably involve Arcadia having to negotiate fresh licences with Big West. Graham
