  1. Thanks for posting the link to the review. I picked up a Sword Impulse MSiA yesterday, but still couldn't find a Force Impulse anywhere as all the shops in HK had sold out, so I broke down and ordered one from HLJ. Happy to report no real QC problems with either my Sword or Blast Impulse MSiA. The Blast Impulse has a bit of a balance broblem with those big guns and I wish the figures had more sideways ankle articulation, but those are my only gripes. I'm quite impressed that Bandai has started using some screws on these toys. Overall I'm very happy with these toys (this from someone who swore he would never buy another MSiA again). Can't wait for the Destiny ZAKU MSiA toys coming out next year, they look so nice. Hopefully, the GQ line will prove popular and we will see some GQ Destiny Zakus. That would be even nicer than MSiA. 2. Now where's that drooling smiley when you need it. Graham
  3. Hang on, wasn't there already a Freedom Gundam MSiA released several months ago, or am I imagining it? Or is this a ver.2? Graham
  4. I don't care how cool it looks, but I absolutely refuse to buy something called 'Penelope Gundam', just on principle. Graham
  5. Still haven't got round to playing AC5 yet, except for the tutorials (as a refresher). The little time I've had for gaming has been spent on killzone. Anyway, a quick question. How soon into the game do you get to buy the EF2000 Euro Fighter Typhoon? Being British, I tend to favor British planes like the Tornado, Typhoon, Lightning etc. Graham
  6. "These are not the droids you are looking for". Ha, been wanting to put that in a post for ages now Graham
  7. Lunamaria Hawke is hot! Just a pity you know that as a 2nd tier character, she will die a tragic and pointless death . Let's just hope we get some fan service before she dies . Graham
  8. Ain't that the truth. One easy lesson in life, never believe anything a game store or comic store guy tells you Graham

    Yamato 1/48 GBP Pic

The only 2 faults that the 1/60 really had were: - 1) the front groin armor kept popping off. Hopefully Yamato have learnt their lesson. Anyway, the larger size of the 1/48 should allow for a stronger/better connection. 2) The legs were prone to fall off on the 1/60 when fitted with GBP armor due to the armor preventing the hip pegs from seating sufficiently deep. Obviously, the 1/48 will not have this problem as the legs do not detach. Graham

    Yamato 1/48 GBP Pic

I didn't say that's what the text said. I was just listing some guesses what it might say, as I can't read either Japanese or Chinese. Graham
  11. I agree that the Impulse looks crap as Okawara draws it, but I feel it looks much better when you see it animated in the actual TV series or in toy or model form. Graham

    Yamato 1/48 GBP Pic

Here's the pic of the 1/48 GBP from the latest issue of Hobby Japan magazine. Notice the text also mentions something about the VF-0S. I'm guessing it says either: - The 1/48 GBP is designed by the same company that did the VF-0S (I hope not)! The 1/48 GBP will come after the VF-0S. The VF-0S has been cancelled!!! Hopefully somebody can translate the text. Graham
  13. Surprised nobody has posted this yet, but page 148 of the new January issue of Hobby Japan magazine features a small black and white CG lineart pic of the upcoming Yamato 1/48 GBP armour. No price is mentioned and the release date shows sometime in 2005. Perhaps Renato or one of the other MW members who read Japanese can translate the text. If nobody else has posted the pic by the time I get home tonight, then I will scan it and post it. Oh, and my guess is from the length of the groin armor in the pic, it looks like it will be necessary to remove the nosecone to fit the armor. Graham
  14. No idea what the next PG kit will be, but I'm betting that within a year, we will see a PG Impulse Gundam. GRaham
  15. Wonder if HG will set their lawyers on the show's creators? Graham
  16. Haven't heard anything...yet, but many of us have suspected for a long time that the reason that the Plus & Zero mecha were pulled from the first game was to save them for possible sequels. Graham
  17. Ooh.........me likey that Windam (silly name though)! Graham
  18. I actually wanted to buy the Sword & Force Impulse MSiAs yesterday, but couldn't find them, so I picked up the Blast (Blust?) Impulse MSiA instead. Happy to report no QC problems. Graham
  19. Lot's of PG Strike Gundams in the toy and model shops all over HK. Not buying it even though I quite like the Strike design. I'm a toy guy. Heck, I haven't built a model kit in years . The only Gundam PG I might consider buying if they made it would be a V-Gundam or perhaps an RX-79G. Of course I'm still holding out for a PG YF-19 one day, although I'm not holding my breath waiting for it Graham
  20. Hmm.....that Hyaku Shiki Full Armor looks very Five Star Story-ish. Graham
  21. Anybody know how is the new Japanese SEED PS2 game? I bought a boot the other day (I'll buy the original if I like it), but the damn disc was a dud and wouldn't load . Graham
  22. Ah, so Shin's already a military pilot by the time we see him fighting in ep # 1. That's good. I think my sense of disbelief would be strained past breaking point if we had yet another Gundam anime where an angsty young teenage boy with no prior military training or experience finds himself through a series of unlikely circumstances piloting the latest Mobile Suit and kicking the asses of the best military pilots the enemy has to offer. So who's going to be buying the Impulse GQ toys? I wasn't originally, but now I've seen some of the anime, the design of the Impulse is starting to grow on me. Graham
  23. Was Shin striking with the non-beam part of the sword? I'll have to watch the fight again more carefully. If he was, methinks the boy needs some more swordsmanship training Or is he another one of these angsty anime teen pilots who are reluctant to kill? Actually is Shin a military trained pilot or a civilian? At the begining of ep #1 he seems to be a refugee or something, but later on in ep# 1 he's already piloting the Sword Impulse. Presumably his back story will be filled in later? Graham
  24. Although they are called anti-ship swords, aren't they still technically beam sabers? Yes, they are larger and heavier than a normal 'hilt only' type beam sabre, so will be less nimble to wield but the basic principle and technology should be the same AFAIK. Graham
  25. A bit OT, but does anybody know what happened to MAHQ? I just wanted to check out their info on Destiny mecha, but the site seems to be down . Graham
