    Dropping a deuce

It's true, it's all true! Arghhh.......the shame. Runs away to hide in the closet, head in hands. Graham
  2. Just saw the Yamato 1/12 scale Scopedog toy today in the Nelson Street branch of Animate in Mong Kok. Nice box. It's great that Yamato is actually doing proper painted box art, not just a photo-shopped image of the toy like they usually do for their Macross toys. As others have commented the matt finish plastic used on the toy looks nice. Still at HK$1,280 (US$164), it's a bit more expensive than I'm willing to pay, being only a casual Votoms fan. Now, I'm a notorious impulse buyer (as I suspect are many MWers) and I buy all sorts of useless junk (toys) that I don't really want or need , but that price is just so unattractive, especially as the only accessory the toy comes with is the rifle. Now if it had included the pilot figure and Round Mover or Parachute Zack for that price I might have considered buying it. As it is, no thanks Yamato, keep your overpriced Scopdog. I'm waiting for the inevitable Red Shoulder Custom version and hopefully a more reasonable price. Judging from the limited number of posts to this thread, I think it's safe to say that this toy is not going to be very popular, well at this price anyway. Is the US version really only going to retail for only US$60? Graham
  3. OK, thanks. I'll pass on ordering those books then. Graham
  4. I'm perfectly happy with traditional cel animated character and mecha anime thank you very much. I'm even happy to accept a mix of cel characters and CG mecha ala Macross Zero, although I tend to draw the line at CG characters. As I've stated many times before, I just don't see why there is this desire to remake much-beloved anime into live-action? I just don't get it. The anime not good enough or something? Anway, I seriously doubt this would work. All the live-action Gundam I've seen from the atrocious G-saviour to the extremely camp PS OYW Gundam game with gaijin actors has just been one big joke. Graham
  5. Just wondering does anybody have these 3 books and how are they? vol.1 Vol.2 Vol.3 Graham
  6. Plus, it transforms into a box for convenient storage! Always hated the look of the Pyscho Gundam. I mean, it's a big ugly trobot that transforms into .....err, a big ugly robot sitting in a chair! Graham
  7. Bit OT, but can anybody recommend a good artbook with lineart of SEED mecha? I'm not interested in character art, only the mecha stuff. Seems like there's lots of different SEED art books and I've no idea which to buy. Graham
  8. Which DVD (if any) does the Sword Calamity appear in? Graham
  9. Pretty old news now. The Heat Hawk & Beam Rifle guitars were first shown during the June 2002 Tokyo Toy Show Graham
  10. Ah I see. Thanks. I'm still only up to ep # 34 of SEED, so I didn't know about the technology being banned. Graham
  11. Just wondering given that the technology for N-Jammer Cancellers already exists, why don't the new MS in Destiny, like the Impulse feature nuclear reactors as their power source? Why go back to using short endurance batteries? is it a cost issue? Same question applies about Trans-Phase Armor. If it's superior to Phase Shift, why don't the newer MS have it? Graham
  12. So what's the advantage of being a Sith Lord, rather than just a run-of-the-mill Dark Jedi? Is there a better pension plan or something? Graham
  13. Only being a casual SW fan, can somebody please clarify this for me. Does this whole 'rule of 2' thing regarding the Sith mean that there can only ever be 2 Sith, (a master and an apprentice) at one time anywhere in the whole universe? If the answer to the above question is yes, what would happen if I was a Jedi who wanted to turn to the dark side, but there was a Sith master and apprentice already around? Would I have to get in line and wait until one of them died, before I could call myself a Sith? Or can you be a dark Jedi without being a Sith? Confused!!!!!!! Graham
  14. That makes sense I guess. Graham

As promised, here's some larger and clearer scans. First up front view. I still say that the groin armor is not long enough to cover the nosecone. Graham

    Minmay Attacks

Ha.....that's pretty funny, although there was no sound on my PC when I played it. Graham
  22. The only thing I don't like about the new Jedi Starfighter is the design of the cockpit. I think it would have looked better with a pointy nose cockpit rather than someting that looks like the Millenium Falcon rammed a TIE Fighter up the ass (sorry if that's too graphic) Graham
  23. Yep, Bandai definitely showed a prototype MG Marasai at one of the hobby shows about a year or so ago. Graham
  24. Errr...........they make 12" dolls with "mushable" boobs? I'm not even gonna ask why people would want a 12" doll with mushable boobs. The mind boggles Graham
  25. Just a degree or two, not too flacid. He can still keep it up pretty good Graham
