  1. Just to expand on that, the Compendium lists it as being "not certified for performing beyond an one-way limit of 20 light years". Graham
  2. Ya' mean the VF-25s' don't use their knives for melee combat? That's disappointing. Oh, and how does one grapple? Seen it mentioned in the text, but no idea how to do it. Graham
  3. Bandai are supposed to be releasing Macross II toys in their VF100s line, so there is a good posibility that they may release the VF-2SS. Graham
  4. PS2 adaptation would be cool, cus' I have a PS2. Still not ready to upgrade to PS3 or X-Box 360 yet. Graham
  5. WTF, Breetai is the same size as the SDF-1? That's bad. Graham
  6. The VF-17's gunpod has 7 barrels. This is clearly shown in Kawamori's lineart. I'm pretty certain, I've previously seen reference to it being 30mm caliber, but checking through the usual source books just now, I was unable to find mention of the caliber. When the VF-17's gunpod is shown being fired in the anime, it is clearly a conventional shell firing gattling type gunpod, not a beam weapon. As mentioned, it does have the ability to eject the standard ammuntion magazine and fit a single shot high power beam gun adaptor in place of the standard magazine. My theory, is that this adaptor is purely a battery and the actual beam weapon is built into the gunpod. I think the two red prongs at the top and bottom of the muzzle may be the actual beam emitters. So basically, I think the gunpod is designed as a standard shell firing gattling type gunpod with perhaps a higher rate of fire than the VF-11's gun pod, hence 7 barrels versus 6. However, the VF-17's gunpod also has a high power beam gun built in, but this can only be fired when the standard shell magazine is removed and the beam gun battery is fitted. Graham
  7. The unit I want to see most in a sequel is Ozma's VF-25S with Armored Pack. Graham
  8. Kawamori............not smiling. No coffee that morning? Or not happy with what he's holding? Graham
  9. I would have prefered a DX 1/60 VF-171 Nightmare Plus rather than Macross Quarter, but oh well, I'll still buy a quarter toy. Graham
  10. You can order them from either HMV Japan or Amazon Japan. Graham
  11. Fot those like myself that are not skilled modellers, I'd definitely recomend the stickers. They look good and stick very well. Graham
  12. Yep, the legs are still in transition from fighter to Gerwalk. You can clearly see the dark triangle, behind the intake, which means the legs are not completely straight yet. Graham
  13. The official Macross Frontier vol.2 (eps 2-4) DVD/BluRay is out for ages already. I received mine from Amazon Japan at least 2-3 weeks ago. I think your post is a typo and you meant vol.3, which contains eps 5-7. Graham
  14. I for one never really liked the idea of posting new pics only on the first page. Most people including myself check the toy threads several times daily for updates anyway and I don't really like having to check back to the first page all the time just for new pics. By all means new pics an be posted on the first page, but they should also be posted in the in current posts. Graham
  15. Hopefully, once the Macross Chronicles gets done with the three trillion pages on the VF-1, we will eventually get some VF-25 pages with detailed stats. I too love stats, as detailed as possible. Agree, comparing is fun. Graham
  16. Very cool. Graham
  17. Milia's red VF-17S is really a blast. It has really rapid fire micro-missile launchers. Missile capacity is limited, but they fire off and reload really quick. Graham
  18. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Despite being parts-formers, with every new pic posted these are looking better and better than the 1/60 DX line. Graham
  19. One more thing I just noticed and really dislike. See the head in this pic. The red and black lines should flow smoothly into the matching red and black lines on the back plate. Instead the head curves down too much and there is a dip or gulley between the head and the back plate. Not good. Graham
  20. I'm a little bit worried about that peg I see sticking out of the underside of the wing glove in battroid mode. I guess it's for locking the wings in place in fighter mode, but it looks a little too thin to me. Hopefully not prone to breakage. Graham
  21. Good, increases the chance of a MAF sequel then. Graham
  22. Nice, the 1/100 line is looking sweet. Assuming the quality, materials and detailing is good, I can see these getting more of my money than the chunky 1/60s. Now bring on the VF-171. Graham
  23. What is this other matter you keep referring to? Curious. Graham
  24. What site are you getting the pic from? I notice the sniper rifle doesn't have the pop up optical sight, or at least it's not shown. Graham
  25. Note, with the Super and Armored packs the wing root guns have extra armor on top of them, which is why they look bigger than the unarmored guns of the model kit. Graham
