  1. Saw the two versions of Yamato's RC 1/24 scale IR battle Scopedogs are now out. Saw them in Animate for HK$980 each (approx US$126 each). Very cool. Love to have these so I could have RC scope dog battles with my son. Graham
  2. Latest pics below that I had saved on my hard drive (may be some duplicates). Graham
  3. I think you are the second MWer that has reported that tab breaking. If this was a Yamato product, people would now be screaming about how their QC sucks. Graham
  4. Scans of the November Hobby Japan pics were already posted in the VF-25 model thread. For gashapon news, please check the relevant thread in the toy forum. Graham
  5. Err.....what is it. Translataion somebody? Graham
  6. The original thread has been closed and moved to the hall of super topics as it was getting too long. Please limit discussion of the upcoming Bandai 1/60 scale DX VF-25 toys to this thread. Graham
  7. To start things off, I'd like to say that all of the larger stickers on my kit are holding up suprisingly well after about 10 transformations. Some of the smaller stickers are not doing so well, especially the small red diamonds on the LERX, the small red diamond on the front chest plate and the small red rectangles on the upper shouldes. These all started peeling off. I think this is just beacuse the surface area of the stickers is too small, so they don't adhere very well. I removed all these small red stickers and used a red Gundam marker to paint on the markings instead. I also painted on the red sensor on the front of the gunpod as that sticker had started peeling off as well. In the old thread, MWer Regult mentioned that he used decals beacuse he thought they are easier to apply than stickers. I'm the exact opposite. I used stickers, beacuse all you have to do is stick them on and rub them flat. no messing about with setting or softening solutions, no worries about them crinkling or cracking, no need for clear cloat, etc, etc. Graham
  8. The original official thread has been closed and moved to the archive as it was getting too long at 76 pages. Please keep all discussion and news of Bandai's Macross Frontier model kits to this thread. You are also welcome to post photos of your completed kits in this thread. The exception is WM Chengs upcoming buildup, which deserves it's own separate thread. Graham
  9. Ah, I see. I only have the Miria VF-22, don't have the Max version yet. Graham
  10. Any news on the release date of the GX-31V Voltes V? I wanna get one for my son's Christmas present if it's out in time. Graham
  11. OD = Olive Drab. Graham
  12. Don't worry, there's actually quite a few of us that bought our consoles just to play Macross games. You are not alone. Of course, I play other games as well, but I wouldn't have bought the console in the first place if there was no Macross game for it. Graham
  13. Still doesn't mean they are cheap, plus no Macross game for them. Pretty much every game console or handheld I've ever owned (Super Famicom, Playstation, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gameboy, PS2, PSP), I bought just so I could play a Macross game. The only exception to this rule was the Sega Mega Drive. Graham
  14. Mine broke the shoulder armor second time out of the box and I was being careful with it. And who says Bandai doesn't put out lemons now and then. Graham
  15. Haven't checked in on this thread in ages. So when is the show supposed to be returning? Graham
  16. No, the VF-22 battroid only has one gunpod. But to be anime accurate, the VF-22 should sport two gunpods on the belly plates. Instead in MAF it only has one gunpod mounted on the right belly plate (IIRC). Graham
  17. Found another CG model error. The VF-22 only has one gunpod on the underside instead of 2. Still I love the gunpod on the VF-22. While it's only burst fire, not full auto, it seems pretty accurate and powerful and has a nice sound as well. Graham
  18. Correct. This is Macrossworld. We spend money on overpriced toys instead......LOL Graham
  19. Rabid fan here. Best series in years and years IMO. Leaves everything else standing in the dust. Graham
  20. Just to expand on that, the Compendium lists it as being "not certified for performing beyond an one-way limit of 20 light years". Graham
  21. Ya' mean the VF-25s' don't use their knives for melee combat? That's disappointing. Oh, and how does one grapple? Seen it mentioned in the text, but no idea how to do it. Graham
  22. Bandai are supposed to be releasing Macross II toys in their VF100s line, so there is a good posibility that they may release the VF-2SS. Graham
  23. PS2 adaptation would be cool, cus' I have a PS2. Still not ready to upgrade to PS3 or X-Box 360 yet. Graham
  24. WTF, Breetai is the same size as the SDF-1? That's bad. Graham
  25. The VF-17's gunpod has 7 barrels. This is clearly shown in Kawamori's lineart. I'm pretty certain, I've previously seen reference to it being 30mm caliber, but checking through the usual source books just now, I was unable to find mention of the caliber. When the VF-17's gunpod is shown being fired in the anime, it is clearly a conventional shell firing gattling type gunpod, not a beam weapon. As mentioned, it does have the ability to eject the standard ammuntion magazine and fit a single shot high power beam gun adaptor in place of the standard magazine. My theory, is that this adaptor is purely a battery and the actual beam weapon is built into the gunpod. I think the two red prongs at the top and bottom of the muzzle may be the actual beam emitters. So basically, I think the gunpod is designed as a standard shell firing gattling type gunpod with perhaps a higher rate of fire than the VF-11's gun pod, hence 7 barrels versus 6. However, the VF-17's gunpod also has a high power beam gun built in, but this can only be fired when the standard shell magazine is removed and the beam gun battery is fitted. Graham
