  1. Just picked up a CM's Fuke which I'll keep in bike mode and a second CM's black Stick, which is going to stay in armor mode. That's it for my CM's collecting, although I might pick up the pack of two soldier figures and possibly the unmanned black Legioss as they are pretty cheap here. Got my Masterpiece Ray on the way from the US. And then just need to track down an anime color Megahouse Ray or Stick either new or used for a reasonable price and then that will be it for my Mospeada collection. Graham
  2. There's two ways it could have been done. 1) Hinges permanently attached to the leg packs, which plugged into holes in the leg. 2) Hinges permanently mounted on the leg, which plugged into holes in the packs. Personally, I'm fine with the solution they adopted as it minimizes potential weak points (hinges). And it's not a big deal to unglug the pack from the leg and move it the short distance and plug it into the wing. Graham
  3. Awesome. I watched that pretending it was a VF-19S. Graham
  4. The present solution is far more elegant, simpler and undoubtedly more durable and better looking than having hinges permanently built into the legs of the VF-17. Having a hinge on which you need to attach and detach the packs (when not using them), would be uglier and a potential breakage point. Graham
  5. Yep, same here. That would be a definite buy. Graham
  6. Don't forget the VF-22S was featured in the three PSP games as well (MAF, MUF & MTF). Graham
  7. Because in fighter mode, the leg packs attach to the underside of the wings. Have you not looked at the lineart? Graham
  8. My small, but growing collection of Mospeada toys and Mospeada and Artmic books. Graham
  9. I disagree, Clash of the Bionoids is my favorite dub ever. In fact it's the only dub I will listen to. Graham
  10. Err..........grey? Do I win a prize? But seriously, sold of my 1/48 Angel Birds, so no idea. Graham
  11. Nah, gimme a DX VF-171/VF-171EX before a renewal VF-27. Heck, I'd even prefer a cannon fodder DX VF-25A over a renewal VF-27. A renewal VF-27 is way, way down on my personal list of desired VF toys. Graham
  12. I don't even bother stowing the gunpod internally anymore and I'm actually thinking of gluing the two halves together. Just a note for anybody posting comparison pics or comments for things for Yamato to improve upon. Don't bother posting screenshots/stills from the anime! Yamato will only consider Kawamori's lineart as reference material, not the actual animation due to inconsitancies in the animation. Graham
  13. Just posted a whole bunch of pics from BlackAces (Noel) on the main page. http://www.macrossworld.com/ Graham
  14. Haha, that's funny. But seriously, the 'cup' of the cupcake is about the right size and shape for the visor. Graham
  15. Picked up a green CM's Legioss/Tread last night and a second CM's Blow Superior, so I can have one permanently in bike mode and the other in Armour mode. Graham
  16. Well, just got a short email reply from Yamato about the VF-17D head: I have passed your comments to the guy in charge. We are going to release 17D around XXXX. and the sculpt is not final. I will keep you posted. So there is hope for change. Graham
  17. Although I like the current head sculpt, I agree the proposed changes would make it look even better and closer to the lineart. However, the whole cherry cupcake thing is gonna be permanently stuck in my head when I look at it now. Graham
  18. I've emailed our comments and comparisons to Yamato. Up to them if they act on them. If I do get a reply call or email, I'll post what they say. Graham
  19. I think it would be cool in the movie, if the aliens dropped big, white, peg shaped cylinders from the sky, which if they hit the humans warship turned red. Graham
  20. If Yamato did ever make a Legioss, I'd like it to be larger than their default 1/60 scale, as it's a damn small plane anyway. I don't really care about it being in scale with my Yamato Valks. I reckon a larger scale, say 1/35 scale Legioss from Yamato might sell, assuming it has their normal attention to detail, gimmicks and lineart accuracy (as far as possible) in all three modes. I doubt a largeTread would sell well enough though if sold stand alone. We've seen that the stand alone Beta/Tread from Toynami/Aoshima didn't sell well and a combined Legioss and Tread set from Yamato would be too expensive in 1/35 scale, unless they shrunk it down and made it about the size of CM's. So personally, I could live without a Yamato Tread, as long as they made a large-ish kick-ass Legioss. But anyway, yeah, unlikely to happen Graham
  21. Nope, never seen it before. Cool vid, although I don't like the redesigned helmet much. Graham
  22. But on the toy, they will have to be removed from the wings and placed back on the legs. Graham
  23. While I'd love to see Yamato make the VF-19ACTIVE, it would financially be quite a big risk for them, as it would involve an awful lot of new tooling and thus expense for just one paint variant. It would require all new tooling for the head, shoulders, shield, lower legs, feet and wings. Graham
  24. Umm..........!? Graham
