@wm cheng Those planes look great, esp that F-4!
-
Just got to give it a few years - especially when the most recent roles were guest spots or Hallmark movies. In fact, with how good de-aging software is, I wouldn't mind them using Boxleiter's de-aged face on a stunt-man's body with Bruce doing the voice. Have Tron in his prime!

Movie physics differ greatly from real physics. If he had won through to the real world, I'm sure they would have made is tech work.😉 I do hope we gets some kits. I would have loved to have some of the flyers from Legaxy as a kit.
-
If it's going to spoil the fun for me, I don't think I need to see it.
-
Drama-wise, I thought it was pretty good. Plane-porn, of course! I thought it was good - all except for the Star Wars trench run!😜

No. Kozinsky was going to do a sequel but it never got green lit. This one is going to be by Joachim Rønning. He's done Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and currently finished Young Woman and the Sea with Daisy Ridley. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1461392/

Looks like a third in the series may be a go with Jared Leto. I hope it will be a direct sequel to the 2010 movie, but my hopes ain't up... https://deadline.com/2023/01/tron-ares-joachim-ronning-helm-jared-leto-disney-sci-fi-sequel-1235227464/

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Alright, that proves that Megaroad 01 is still out there, and still receiving all the latest idol signage! That looks fantastic! -
It'll be the Pegasus. A lot different from canon, though! In my own head, these ships are set more in the TOS universe, so it is active wartime. This Pegasus was an attempt to increase the fighter strength of a battestar, and it worked well, but it ended up being a one-off, as a streamline in the concept is seen in the follow-up Galactica. Rather than using four flight pods (expensive in material and time in wartime) they instead went with two large pods above and under. The original Mercuries had a smaller underside flight deck, and they doubled up on the launch decks in between them. I don't have a good shot in this pic, but simply doubled up the launch deck pieces from two kits. Pegasus' four flight pods doubled her fighter strength, from 200 to 400. The more conservative version on the Galactica did not have the storage/maintenance space for the fully increased compliment, however, so Galactic only increased her number of Vipers from 200 to 325. It was seen as an acceptable compromise. Also of note, Commander Helena Cain is not the psycho bee-otch of the newer series, but very much in line with the original series Cain. @Urashiman I'm going to try and reuse as much of the original deck as possible, but I think I'm going to have to make two new pieces to go under the HEW turrets.
-
@Urashiman Agreed on the canopy recovery. Done good! @Rock Liking the look of that scheme. As for me, I think I've decided on the placement for the missile arrays on the head, as well as the HEW turrets. I'll be filling in the empty spaces with new panels and greeblies.
-
It actually looks like an 'experimental' color, if there is such a thing. Maybe that's the color of some protective coating, before the main scheme is applied?
-
I think it could go either way. There was that moment...
-
Good point! Here's hoping
-
@Bolt Really liking the color choice on that Lancer!
-
@derex3592 That reasoning sounds good and sound to me!😜You really can't have one without the other anyway. @pengbuzz Until you get to that 1/1000 dio version, that carrier is looking better and better. And yes, people!😁 @SpacePirateNeko Oh, I love the VF-0! If I had my way, it would have been the preferred design for the VF-1. In fact, I have thought from time to time to doing a VF-0 with the Fokker or Hikaru's bird with the VF-1 scheme. And a Venator. Awesome!

Glad to see those decals fit. Looking good'n'primed!

Love that color scheme, and it looks even better with the fast packs. -
I need another season
-
No, the season did not run as much as stumble, but I felt the last two episodes really pulled it out. Some of that schticky humor returned, but it was balanced out well enough by the plot, the action and nice fight scenes. Not the best, but more than good enough. And after seeing Kit in that armor, I'm up for season 2! And the last scene puts a whole new spin on that part about Elora having to die in order for good to win.
-
@SpacePirateNeko Except for the slight warp in the wing, your VF-1 looks great! Used but not trashed - yet!
-
Good looking figures @arbit.
