  1. Found this pic, might get more info 12/5? https://x.com/macrossD/status/1859606752570069124/photo/1
  2. So the pics on the box are darker, but they actually looks lighter than the original, makes total sense. And now I know why no blister pics of the missiles...thrown into the bottom of the case to save some $ on a redesign. That is pretty funny
  3. In their tradition of displaying the toy like the art (Imai Box art, done by Suzuki, who was often inspired by Takani) So these can be called Suzuki hands!
  4. Doesn't one of these paint guides exist for the TV series? yes one does...anyone have this?
  5. I guess the good news if they do drop cheap enough, we could get them for $140 each and recreate the Yamato display!
  6. Can say I am just a bit disappointed it looks exactly like the first. Their product promo photographer needs to have their white balance checked when doing those original pics. The 'product may look different than image' certainly held true on this one.
  7. Well there is that pesky thing called the Pacific Ocean delaying the arrival of the toy to the states for a side by side comparison The front/back of the box are in the post above by betocc-that is literally the box. I'm glad to hear that its not a lottery event only anymore and anyone can grab one, which implies prices should drop a bit. I pulled the trigger and got one at $185 yesterday when I still thought it was lottery sales only, now I wonder if I should have waited a bit longer.
  8. I guess some people have found a way to get more than 1 😛
  9. Jeez I did say half joking Maybe will raise it to 60%
  10. I was only half joking when I said 'If Bandai looks at which valks did not sell from the DYRL exhibit, then we will never see a DX VF-1A CF' No one was buying the VF-1As. Everything else sold out except for a couple Ds.
  11. Well its out, waiting for some inside pics next
  12. It appears as if the figures almost completely sold out And considering that the last one heavily in stock is the Cannon Fodder VF-1A, Bandai is probably seeing that and will never release the DX VF-1A CF. 😛
  13. I'm thinking the original online pics may just look darker for whatever reasons and there is no color change. This was posted recently and it looks like the normal J coloring.
  14. I am not the only one with the VF-1J thoughts lol
  15. It looks like its a copy of the LS Legioss kit
  16. Super nice 1/48 VF-1 Diorama! (I think 1/48, cause that is a lot of detail to pack into 1/72) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke4ETVX52Tk
  17. love this original box art on this, wow! Don't recall this angle before
  18. Found some more amazing kits from this youtube user https://www.youtube.com/@rebirthtv7460 I think this is the Takatoku Henkei SDF-1 toy converted to an assemble yourself model? Misc others And another Takatoku 1/100 another Nichimo Defender, so cool
  19. another box variant of the Nichimo boot-same one above-jump to 8:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlXM3U6rK9Q
  20. I think I'll say definitely stick with Nichimo with that comparison above. The Morinaga Gerwalk is very different (your pic, thanks! ha)

    Macross Books

I would probably say yes, since we see the Yamato being blown up at the bottom of that rough sketch, and that was from Daicon 3 which he animated.

    Macross Books

A few years ago there was a Hideaki Anno Exhibition, and there was an art book release. Finally found one for a good price, so picked it up Has some great pictures throughout his history, included 3 pages of Macross stuff. If you like this art, and who wouldn't, its great. Also-it is THICK.
  23. I wish I knew where to find those! They took the Nichimo kits as the base and adjusted them so they don't need the center screw that holds them together Bootleg on left, original on right
  24. That looks like a copy of the Nichimo 1/200 VF-1J Gerwalk kit, nice. I think I'd ignore the Takatoku Toys logo on the bottom of the bootleg Macross kit with Bandai 1/72 box art and 1/55 inspired sunset picture with the 3 type change text and vf-1s super label LOL I wonder what else they packaged into that generic box design. I dig it!
