Finally available-Reserve your Vol 1 & Vol 2 of Macross TV episodes on VHS or Beta! LOOK at the price...12800 yen for 50 minute video cassette. That would be equivalent to 18000 yen in today's time. Wow! Pre-Release bonus is a Macross Fashion Bag. Another bonus item to track down.

Preorder your Macross Vol II Album or Cassette, with 20 new songs! PLUS get a free NEW and Original design Kawamori poster for the pre-order! What poster would this be? It would be a Kawamori penned poster from Victor. I know there are lots of Mikimoto ones. Any ideas?

Guess I should not have said 'new flyers' thread but 'flyers thread' in general ok...so no long posters, but B5 ish size items, I can work with that. Some don't have anything on the other side, but they are still a flyer like this
-
I was hesitant to create a new flyers thread, and could fold things back in, but where would some of the misc promo flyers go There are misc event flyers, game flyers, model flyer etc Any thoughts?

This one is an advertisement in Variety Magazine from 1984....super curious about what MIFED is and what they were doing with this title.

Wow-great memory on that! Now I really want to find that Sega Saturn Promo disc!! Says they are Zentradi walking tanks...sort of like Macross Universe AT-ATs

I found a handful of Macross item flyers, and some misc Promotion items, so figured I'd put a placeholder here. Here is one of the Misc items...a Sega Saturn promo sleeve for the 'upcoming' at the time DYRL game (1997) It would be displayed in a plastic cd case and placed on the shelf to excite you for what was coming down the road. If you zoom real in real close on the game pics shown on the back, you can see the final boss for the 1st stage, which at the time had GLAUG LEGS! In the final release for the game, it was changed to a flying boss. In one of the Sega Saturn Gama magazines around the time (1997) there was an included game disc, which was a common practice at the time for people to preview the upcoming games. The promo disc had stage 1 of the Macross game as a preview, and in that version you can actually play against the Glaug footed version shown above! I've got the disc and magazine squirreled away somewhere....when I find it I'll include a pic of what issue it was from. I remember playing it and going 'What the heck is this!??' (I got the magazine a few years AFTER the game was released)

I have no clue, the forums with the last update we did seems funky sometimes with the attachments. Some were even disappearing then reappearing. I think they introduced a new bug, but I can't roll back to the old, they don't allow it. Hopefully they will provide another patch, I'll see on the support forums if anyone else sees these attachment issues Please go ahead and fix whatever you need to fix , the screenshots are all I need.

I definitely agree with you, I prefer the red-colored lasers more than they gray Takatoku chose. There is lots of precedence for colored lasers as well...at least from Takani and Suzuki and other artists.

Picked up a Takatoku catalog (the standard one from 1983) recently and was looking at the items inside-saw the VF-1A and took a closer look, and it's definitely a pre-production item (left from catalog, right is the takatoku prod version) Neat! At the bottom of the cover page they mention some of the items in the catalog are made of wood, and may not reflect the actual production items.

FYI Fixed a bunch of missing pics on the bottom of page 2 and 3 by grabbing them from the wayback machine (the comparison pics)

Was the Kakizaki a limited release? Agreed it is insanely hard to find at anything less than $90 (best price I could find anywhere, but can't justify that)

I thought it was Military Operation Soldier Protection Emergency Aviation Dive "Armor" not "Auto"....did it change at some point? Or just a goof? and if curious for the version with the missiles it says 'exclusive' on the front of the box (auction pic) The back says Robotech?? This must be international boxing once size fits all. The old Legioss didn't say Robotech.

That is amazing work, and is a perfect match

Carefully peeled back 20x of the stickers and NO WINNERS found...I'd sure love to see what a winning one looks like Some of them (like the ones on top) were crooked, so I know the prev owner of these already peeked

Since Toynami has been trying to build this thing since the early 2000s and kept getting denied, I strongly suspect the diecast will be diecast as it is on the takas.

The VF-1S has more interpretations than anything...including that 1990 release (ugh!) Here are some other alternatives for comparison. Its fun digging through the HD archives for the old stuff (I actually own that 2001 proto. Its a bit undersized, but still cool) The Barretta still looks awesome over all these years doesn't it? He nailed it. I can't remember if the Antennas could stay on during transformation, they were pretty tall.
-
Looking back over the 1/55 VF-1J Heads there are quite a lot of variations and interpretations! I like the Toynami interpretation. And weirdly like that they kept the thick antenna for the 1/55 toy design.
